Introducing Spotty: Bringing Spotify Offline Playback to Your Apple Watch
In this article, we'll delve into the world of Spotty, an app that brings Spotify offline playback directly to your Apple watch. With Spotty, you can enjoy your favorite music on-the-go without needing a constant internet connection. But how does it work? Let's take a closer look.
To get started with Spotty, you'll need a Spotify premium account. Don't worry, if you don't have one yet, you can sign up for a free trial or subscription to start enjoying the benefits of offline playback on your Apple watch. Once you have your premium account set up, launch the Spotty app and log in to your account.
Next, create a playlist and add a song to it. You can do this by tapping on the "+" icon and selecting a song from your library or searching for a new track. With your playlist ready, tap on "Spotty" and then give your account access to your Spotify premium credentials.
Now that you've set up Spotty, it's time to sync your music with your Apple watch. Tap on one of the playlists in the list, and then flip the switch next to "Sync with Watch." This will start the syncing process, which may take a few minutes depending on the size of your playlist. During this time, you can keep an eye on the progress by checking the Spotty app.
Once the syncing is complete, you'll know that the song has been successfully transferred to your Apple watch. To verify this, open up the Apple Watch app and check for any new music additions. You should see the song you just synced playing in the "Now Playing" section.
With Spotty, you can enjoy your favorite music on your Apple watch without needing a constant internet connection. The music is stored locally on your device, allowing you to listen offline for up to 24 hours after syncing. This makes it perfect for commutes, workouts, or any other situation where you need to stay entertained without being tethered to a power source.
One of the coolest features of Spotty is its built-in workout support. With this feature, your Apple watch will automatically start your workout when you play back music that's synced with the app. This means you can create playlists tailored to your specific workouts and enjoy uninterrupted exercise sessions.
To get started with workout playlists in Spotty, simply create a new playlist and add songs that you know you'll want to listen to during your next workout. When you open up the Spotty app and select one of these playlists, your Apple watch will automatically start tracking your activity levels. If you want to pause or stop the workout session, just tap on the "Stop" button in the Spotty app.
In addition to its built-in workout support, Spotty also features real-time complications that allow you to view playback details directly from your Apple watch face. This means you can quickly check how long a song is playing, what's next in your playlist, and even see the lyrics of the current song. These complications make it easy to stay on top of your music playback without needing to constantly glance at your watch.
Spotty is compatible with all models of Apple Watch, making it a great option for anyone looking to enjoy offline playback on their device. And because you don't need to be charging your Apple watch to access music, you can take it anywhere and enjoy your favorite tunes without worrying about running out of power.
