Finding Out What It's Like Right So Our Time to Get On Track with the Lamborghini Aventador

As I approached the new Lamborghini Aventador, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and curiosity. The car was unlike any other Lamborghini I had ever seen before, and I was eager to find out what it's like right so our time to get on track with it. After starting the keyless go, I began to explore the features and design of the car.

The scissor doors were a unique feature that made them slightly different from other Lamborghinis. They were designed to be frameless, allowing for a sleek and aerodynamic appearance. As I pressed the start button, the car sprang to life, with an electric handbrake that indicated it was ready to go. The automatic transmission was selected, which I was told was necessary to comply with CO2 regulations in Europe.

However, pressing the little button down made me switch to manual mode, revealing that it took around 4 years for this car to be developed from a clean sheet design. The result was a true clean sheet, resulting in a feeling of difference compared to other Lamborghinis. There was nothing shared with an old model, and everything was brand new – including the gearbox, engine, chassis, and carbon fiber monocoque.

The first thing I noticed when starting the car was the sound of the V12 engine, which was glorious but also made a beautiful noise that was audible even at slow speeds. The handling was responsive, with a gentle setting for road driving that kept noise down and had assistance on the steering. However, it seemed like everyone would go straight to the sport setting when they got behind the wheel. I took the car out of Sport mode and noticed how much gentler the gear change and handling were.

When compared to other Lamborghinis, this car felt different – a true clean sheet design that left no stone unturned in its pursuit of innovation and perfection. The Strada Sport setting was described as "very gentle" for road driving, while the Corser setting offered an incredible level of performance and response, making it perfect for track days.

Marcio Regiani, Lamborghini's Technical Director, took me around some of the technical highlights of the car. He explained that the aluminum doors were just one feature of a long list of innovative materials and designs used in the construction of the Aventador. Aluminum was used extensively throughout the car, from the front fenders to the rear bumper.

One of the most surprising features I discovered was the push rod suspension, which provided a level of precision and control that was unmatched in other cars. Marcio explained that this type of suspension allowed for the perfect travel of the wheel in every condition, reducing unsprung mass and ensuring precise movement of all components. When I asked him about the average G-force experienced during acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, he revealed that it was around 1G.

Marcio also discussed how the push rod suspension worked to reduce unsprung mass and provide a smooth ride. The car's carbon brakes seemed to coat well, but I noticed an unusual grimness around the wheels that persisted even when driving at slow speeds. However, this didn't detract from the Epic power and handling of the Aventador.

The handling was truly remarkable, with a level of balance and precision that left me speechless. The steering response was incredibly quick, with the car responding eagerly to every input. As I played around with the car's settings, I realized that this was a Lamborghini that truly lived up to its reputation as a track-ready super sports car.

As I took the Aventador out onto the track at Vallonga, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The car seemed to come alive on the track, responding eagerly to every command and handling with incredible precision and control. It was clear that this was no ordinary Lamborghini – it was a true game-changer for the brand.

As I finished my time at the track and reflected on my experience with the Aventador, I couldn't help but feel impressed by its performance, handling, and overall package. It was clear that Lamborghini had really outdone themselves this time around, delivering a car that truly exceeded expectations. Whether you're a seasoned racing enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates the finer things in life, the Lamborghini Aventador is an absolute must-drive experience.

In conclusion, my experience with the Lamborghini Aventador was nothing short of epic. The car's performance, handling, and design all came together to create an unforgettable driving experience that left me breathless and wanting more. As I reflected on my time with the car, it became clear that this was a true game-changer for Lamborghini – a super sports car that set a new standard for excellence in its class.

waiting for 700 horsepower 6.5 L normally aspirated engine it looks fantastic it's a proper Lamborghini it's poster quality looks and Under the Skin it's all carbon fiber lighter than the previous generation brand new engine we're at valonga in Rome in Italy and we've got it all day I've got the key let's go and find out what it's like right so our time to get on track van longa uh starting procedure get in it's keyless go so the key is somewhere hidden away in a glove compartment press the start typical Lamborghini far too many revs but then it calms down um scissor doors slightly different design on these just to make um them able to make the doors frameless so they go out a bit small bit like Aston doors after that electric handbrake and we're away starts off in automatic which I'm told is to uh so it complies with the CO2 rules in Europe um but press this little button down here and we have manual telling me it's taken about 4 years to get this car from clean sheet and it's a true clean sheet and that's why it feels so different to other Lamborghinis there is nothing this car shares with an old model gearbox engine chassis monoco carbon fiber absolutely brand new three settings Strada Sport and corser Strada is what it says for road driving very gentle keeps the noise down a bit not as violent on the gear change and a bit more assistance on the steering um really nice setting but I think everybody will go straight to sport setting on it when we're in sport quicker on the gear change and the difference on the handling is instead of having under steer they say power over steer in this format I have to say in the dry conditions hot conditions at valonga it doesn't exactly under steer it will does make a glorious noise just a bit looser when you're C turning in do notice it and then we'll try corser and what corser does what feels like a gear change breaker oh incredibly violent gear change you're going to set a lap time corser is how you do it the power over steer play power over steer is gone this is all about ultimate lap time I I spent the morning in the new Aventador and it's a very different sort of Lamborghini and I'm with Marcio regiani who's technical director of Lamborghini and he's just going to take me around some of the technical highlights cuz there's quite a few on this car we have aluminium doors we have front fender in aluminium and also the front Bonnet is in aluminium we have a rear fender in SMC means a plastic material we use RTM for the engine Bonnet and for the IR Vents and also for the spoiler and for rear and the front bumper we use blex that is a plastic that can absorb energy push rod suspension I have any really seen this on dare I say it on fenzo on a Pagani or something like that but this is productionize this why have you gone for this push Road suspension push road because is something that is necessary in order to guarantee the perfect travel of the wheel in every condition and to be able to reduce dramatically the unspring mass of the wheel and the tire and to guarantee to have a precise uh movement of every components with the right stiffness from 0 to 100 you have an average of 1G because if you made the calculation from 0 to 100 it's 2.95 seconds but if you see the instantaneous acceleration you have after the first meter you have 1.6g and this something where you have your body that is really that's very on quick isn't it 1.6g yeah but you can imagine with a four-wheel drive system that is able to react so fast in every condition you have really like it well thanks Mia we'll go out and do some more driving I could play all day out here carbon brakes seem to coat really well usual grum was but always there and it's the Epic power and this handling a lot of it to do with the um just the lower CFG compared to the SV really notice it around here it's a Lamborghini a V12 Lamborghini track car so you have to be flat out for the gear change to actually Ram in at 50 milliseconds but it's worth it for the effect just just drifting just it's beautiful to play around wow it's been an epic day we've been on track all day at valonga in the new Lamborghini Aventador last thing I was expecting at the beginning of the day Lamborghini v12s and tracks just don't mix but this one does this is a game changer for Lamborghini brilliant balance brilliant handling and you can use all that 700 horsepower on track it's a complete shock great brake feel has everything going for it and they told me at lunchtime the one thing they had to deliver VW instruction was the best super sports car in the world well this has got the looks it's got the performance and blow me it's got the handling and I think they're in the running I think this could well be the best super sports
