Fiio Olympus E10 Headphone Amp & DAC for Gaming

The Product Description

This is a very simple and clean headphone amplifier that has a dial on the top with numbers from 0 to 8, which represents the volume boost. The base boost switch is located next to it, followed by an inline for headphones, a Coaxial out for speakers, a Line out for another device, and a USB in port for connecting to a computer. On the bottom of the amplifier, there are gain controls labeled as H and L, which allow for adjusting the volume level.

Setting Up the Amplifier

To use this headphone amplifier, simply plug the USB cable into the back of the unit and the other end into your computer. If it's working correctly, you'll see a blue LED light indicating the volume level. Finally, plug your headphones into the front of the amplifier to complete the setup.

Using the Headphones and Mic

For this article, I will be using my Superlux HD 681 evos headphones and my Audio-Technica 2020 microphone. Please note that I apologize for the loud fan noise in the background, which was not expected to pick up with the mic.

To demonstrate the capabilities of this amplifier, I recorded a brief audio clip with both music and gaming sounds. Unfortunately, it did not play as expected due to a misconnection issue with the microphone. However, I can assure you that when used correctly, this amplifier brings an exceptional sound quality to your listening experience, whether it's for gaming or watching movies/TV.

Gaming Experience with the Amplifier

I have had the pleasure of using the Fi-Olympus E10 for a short period, and I was blown away by the significant improvement in sound quality compared to my previous headphones. The amplifier brought an immersive gaming experience to life, allowing me to pinpoint enemy locations and feel like I was right there in the game.

For those looking to upgrade their gaming headset or simply want a portable, affordable audio solution, this is an excellent option. While it may be more expensive than some other alternatives, I can confidently say that every gamer who uses headphones should consider owning one of these amplifiers. With its ability to bring any listening experience to life, I wholeheartedly recommend the Fi-Olympus E10.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: endrop it hey everybody random Frank P today this video is going to be kind of along the lines more of like a video recommendation for the FI E10 amplifier and Dack now if you're a PC Gamer you might like this and a lot of audio files prefer something like this over upgrading their sound card because it completely replaces their sound cards what you do is you can either plug in your headphones or your speakers I'd recommend your headphones and it really boosts the sound of your computer uh has a bunch of Base boosts and honestly especially with gaming it brought gaming like to life I I know it sounds kind of cheesy to say but it really did now if this means anything to you you can pause it you look at the specifications of it you know I threw up some bell curves to help all the audio files who are seriously looking at something like this to I guess to give them better information of what the file E10 can really do once it's powered up but we're going to start off slow and I'm going to get into some more the details as the video goes on so while you watch the unboxing um I started PC gaming the last like six months and I you know I just have a standard onboard sound card on my motherboard it's nothing really special and then The more I've been playing I really just wanted more out of the sound that comes out my headphones so know I got a pretty good pair of headphones they pretty decent but it still wasn't doing enough and then I've been looking around and I saw that the file E10 is one of the most highly regarded as some like one of the best amplifiers out there and it's also daak which is even better they were kind of pricey but luckily for me I found it for around $55 on eBay in like new condition and I got it and as you can see look how small it is in my hand I was completely blown away I didn't really know how it was going to be thought the seller forgot to include it but it was just that small in the little package and you can see how small it is compared to my iPhone 5 I mean it's less than the size of the actual screen and it fits very easily into my palm anyway yes I didn't want to upgrade my sound card so I got this and I think it was one of the best $55 i' ever spent in my life if you are a PC Gamer you want to get more out of your games more into your headphones definitely check this out because this is some of the best you can buy for your money so just take Tak a quick look around the E10 itself you can see it's very simple very nice and clean has the uh dial up there from 0 to 8 which is your volume boost obviously very nice cool looking dial I guess uh here you have your base boost on and off your inline for your headphones then you have your Co axle out next to it you have your line out and then your USB in in which you would plug in the uh the mini USB that it included thankfully not micro then on the bottom here of the Dack itself there is a H and L for gain uh plus three minus three gain and it does kind of boost it all right I'm going to show you the very simple steps you need to get this thing going step number one all you got to do is plug the USB in to the back of the amp then you plug the other end into your computer and then if it's working you'll see this nice blue light come on little blue little LED indicating where your volume is at and uh I'm a big fan of blue so nice little bonus as well and then all you got to do last is plug your headphones into the front and there you go now for the upcoming examples I will be using the headphones my super Lux HD 681 evos and for the mic I will be using my Audio Technica 2020 just real quick I want to apologize for how loud my fan is in the background didn't realize my mic was going to pick it up and also I know I said this is going to be mainly for gamers but I just wanted to show you some music as well with the amp to show you what it could really do so you can get get a better understanding now like I said earlier I am recording this with the USB mic so you can't hear it like you would as if it were on your head obviously so you're going to lose a lot of detail like you couldn't need extra base boost and there is some Distortion as you can hear but like I said this is just an example just to show you uh what it can do because you obviously can't hear it if you don't have the product so I figured I'd show you in a way by recording it I don't know just thinking I'd try to help a little bit now again for this next bit I tried doing pretty much the same thing that I did before but instead of Music having counter- strike audio or like game audio but something didn't work right and it sound really bad I guess I don't think I had my mic plugged in properly honestly so I'm just going to try to explain as best as I can and uh if you do like that headset that I'm using or headphones it is the HD uh superlux 681 evos I have a little review right there if you want to check them out pretty cheap 40 bucks very good headphones but um so yeah I'm just going to talk instead of having you here because it's not really the best solution since it didn't really work out but um I've had this headphone the uh the FI Olympus E10 for a little over a day and I've used it for maybe about say four to 5 hours and I've just already been blown away way of how how much better uh the sound quality I'm getting is like I said earlier that it it really brought gaming to life like I know it sounds really dumb but it did the games have been playing they felt more alive everything s more ambient uh the footsteps were more clear I was able to pinpoint where my enemies were if I was playing a first- person shooter and if you're in the market for something like this and you don't want to spend 100 200 bucks to upgrade your sound card you want something cheap uh portable affordable this is a pretty good solution like like I said I got it for 55 bucks on eBay they do go rather more expensive on like Amazon or you have to look around and find the right deal they are usually around $100 you can find this for cheaper I definitely recommend you picking it up because I I I can't recommend it anymore I think every gamer who uses headphones should own one of these just to really see what it sounds like whether they're gaming watching movies TV whatever I think this the F E10 just just brings everything you're doing to a whole new level it makes gaming just feel more alive if you enjoyed this video and you're thinking of picking of one of these up drop a comment below hit
