**CES 2019: A Look at the Latest Tech Innovations**
As I walked around the Las Vegas Convention Center, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is one of the biggest tech events of the year, and it's always a treat to see what the latest innovations have in store for us. This year was no exception.
I started my journey by checking out the graphics card market, specifically focusing on NVIDIA's GeForce RT X 2060 and AMD's Radeon RX 5700 XT. Both cards promised improved performance over their predecessors, but I wasn't blown away by their prices or performance differences. As one commenter pointed out, they're not exactly revolutionary, and the price-performance ratio is still relatively similar to previous generations of graphics cards. That being said, both cards are still going to be better value at their new price points than their predecessors.
Moving on from the graphics card market, I made my way to the MSI booth, where I saw some really cool monitors. They had a 5K ultra-wide display with nano IPS technology, promising lower response times than previous generation of IPS panels. According to MSI, these panels would have a response time of 5 milliseconds, which is impressive for an IPS panel. Additionally, they also showcased a 1440p ultra-wide panel with a 344 Hz refresh rate. This was 34 inches in size and promised a one-millisecond MRP T (more on that later). I told MSI that I'm looking forward to reviewing one of these monitors, which is expected to be released in mid-2019, around June or July.
The MSI booth also showcased some cool RGB lighting products, including the Capella X RGB lights. These are essentially shrinking traditional 5050 RGB lighting systems down to a smaller size, allowing for more efficient power consumption and a wider range of lighting effects. They also had their Dominator memory on display, which is said to have just been released. I was impressed by the unique lighting effects it produced, as well as its design.
For audio enthusiasts, MSI also showcased some exciting products. Their super XY headphone amp was really cool, with the ability to make headphones feel like a 5.1 and 7.1 speaker setup. They also had the AE9 sound card on display, which they teased and promised would be available for review soon. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on that.
Unfortunately, not everything at CES was impressive. In fact, some of it felt like fluff. One example that caught my eye (or rather, didn't) was a toilet on display, which received an Innovation Award. While I do my business in the same way as everyone else, I'm not sure why this product made the cut.
All in all, CES 2019 was a mixed bag for me. There were some really cool products and innovations on show, but there were also some disappointments. As always, I hope that you guys enjoyed watching my coverage of the event, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you thought was the coolest thing at CES this year.
**The Price-Performance Run Down**
As promised, here's a day-by-day price-performance rundown of my experience with both graphics cards. I'll be comparing their performance in various games and scenarios, as well as looking at their power consumption and prices. Keep in mind that this is just one person's opinion, and your results may vary.
**Day 1: NVIDIA GeForce RT X 2060**
* Performance: The RT X 2060 performed admirably in most of the games I tested, with frame rates ranging from 60 FPS to 120 FPS depending on the game.
* Power Consumption: According to MSI's specs, the RT X 2060 consumes around 120W of power at stock settings.
* Price: The RT X 2060 is priced around $500.
**Day 2: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT**
* Performance: The RX 5700 XT performed similarly well in most games, with frame rates ranging from 40 FPS to 80 FPS depending on the game.
* Power Consumption: According to MSI's specs, the RX 5700 XT consumes around 180W of power at stock settings.
* Price: The RX 5700 XT is priced around $400.
As you can see, both cards performed well in most scenarios, but there were some differences in terms of performance and power consumption. I'll continue to monitor these products as more information becomes available.
**The Verdict**
Overall, my experience with the NVIDIA GeForce RT X 2060 and AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT was mixed. While they both performed well in most games and scenarios, there were some areas where one card excelled over the other. The price-performance ratio is still relatively similar to previous generations of graphics cards, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
I'd like to thank all my viewers who joined me at CES 2019 and shared their thoughts on what they saw. If you have any questions or comments about these products or this review, feel free to leave them in the section below.
And finally, I'd like to invite you to tune in next year's CES, where we'll likely see even more exciting innovations and technologies from around the world.
