OnePlus is now working with dxo Mark to improve their cameras for the OnePlus 5. Those of you who don't know, dxo Mark is a benchmarking website for smartphone cameras and other cameras as well. Considering this, it should really help improve the performance of the OnePlus 5's camera. Obviously, we're going to be doing some super safe style real-world tests as soon as the OnePlus 5 is out.
For those who don't know, the OnePlus 5 is expected to have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, which is down from 16 megapixels that we had on the OnePlus 3T. However, having less pixels on a sensor will mean that we're going to have improved low-light performance and things like that.
Now, for the operating system, we're going to have Oxygen OS, which is going to be sitting on top of Android O. Not all phones are running on oxygen OS yet, as it's still in beta, and it's going to be a few months before it's officially released with the Pixel 2 most likely.
As for some of the additional features, we're likely to see the fingerprint scanner stay in the same place, which is going to be on the front of the device. There hasn't been any leak or rumor about a fingerprint scanner at the back, so this is likely to stay at the front. We've also seen one leak where there's no headphone jack at the bottom, so USB Type-C with two grooves on either side, which could mean we lose the headphone jack.
We're looking at around 3,600 Mah for the battery, some rumors have pointed towards up to 4,000 Mah, but I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. We are likely to see 3,600 MH, which would be 200 more than the OnePlus 3T, and that would be with Dash charging.
Super-fast charging is one of the fastest charging methods I've tested recently, and that is going to be carried over onto the OnePlus 5.
The battery is not going to be removable and it never has been on OnePlus devices.
Now, what about the price? On OppoMart, we do see a price of $449, which seems really good. However, I don't think it's realistic, as some recent reports from Android Authority suggest that we might be seeing a price increase to up to $650, especially for the largest model.
OnePlus have teased "summertime" so we've got no specifics but we've had some leakers who suggest June or July time. If we look at some of the recent release dates of the OnePlus devices, they have been around June and July so that is roughly when you can expect to officially hear about the OnePlus 5 and hopefully pick it up shortly after.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthere's been plenty of leaks around the OnePlus 5 will it have dual cameras what's the build going to be like what internals will it be packing what's up YouTube sappire on super saf TV and let's put all of these leaks and rumors in one place to give you a better idea of what to expect so firstly why OnePlus 5 and not OnePlus 4 well the number four is considered a sign of bad luck in China and if you consider the OnePlus 3T as the four then this would be the fifth as well as that apparently the NBA player Robert hurry is very popular among OnePlus employees and he has a number five on his jersey so that is also another reason apparently I don't know either way it is their choice of whatever they want to call their device and it's going to be called the OnePlus 5 so what can we expect with the design and build early rumors were suggesting a Glass and Metal sandwich like we've seen on a lot of devices this year especially but from all of the leaked renders as well as leaked actual images we see a metal build which is similar and kind of Carries On from the 3 and 3T this does seem more likely and some of the leaked images actually don't have any antenna bands on the back this is quite interesting and it might be that the antenna bands are on the side so that will be pretty cool and give the OnePlus 5 a nice clean look but some leaked images do have antenna bands so this is a bit of a question mark we may or may not get antenna bands but do expect a metal build and we're also likely to have a midnight black color so with the 3T later on OnePlus did introduce a midnight black color which has been popular so we are likely to also have this on the OnePlus 5 well what about the display well this is going to be 5.5 in in size some rumors were saying 5.3 in those don't seem too likely 5.5 in is what we've got on the previous devices and it's likely to stay here we may see an improvement in resolution there's conflicting reports some are saying that we're going to be seeing a 1080p display which is going to be the same as the previous versions and OnePlus has generally kept 1080p uh so that it's not too taxing on the battery so you get better battery life and things but now with many competitive devices having quite HD resolution this may be a step that OnePlus takes to kind of be in line with that competition and also to line up the OnePlus 54 VR now moving on to the internals we know that OnePlus packs its devices with the latest and greatest processors and we're more than likely to have the Snapdragon 835 if we look at the previous devices the three had the 820 the 3T had the 821 so it would have make sense to have the 821 again we are likely to have the snap dragon 835 with either six or maybe even up to 8 GB of RAM now lots of reports are saying we're going to stick to 6 GB which is still a lot more than the competition although there's not a change compared to last year but we may get up to eight which would be absolutely epic in terms of performance we've seen some elak geek scores which score very high and just recently we had some leaked times of opening up Games and Things things compared to the S8 and Google pixel and the OnePlus 5 was faster so no doubt this is going to be a Snappy device in terms of storage we're likely to have 64 and 128 gig but some reports suggesting that we're going to have 128 and 256 GB now 256 GB would be pretty epic and we don't get expandable storage on OnePlus devices we've not had in the past and this is not likely to be there on the OnePlus 5 either so if we did have that much storage that would would be absolutely great now let's talk about the cameras so from pretty much all of the leaked renders and images we're seeing dual cameras so this goes without saying that the OnePlus 5 will have a dual camera setup now some reports are saying that we're going to have vertical cameras and that's what we've seen on many images but other reports are saying that we're going to have horizontal cameras either way there's going to be dual cameras and they're likely to be 12 megapixels each in terms of the setup we're likely to have something similar to what we've got on the Huawei P9 and P10 where there's going to be one RGB sensor and one monochrome sensor which are going to combine to give you better looking images with less noise and more contrast what's even more interesting is that OnePlus is now working with dxo Mark to improve their cameras for the OnePlus 5 for those of you who don't know dxo Mark is a benchmarking website for smartphone cameras and other cameras as well and considering this this should really help improve the performance of the OnePlus 5's camera obviously we're going to be doing some super saf Style device so it could be that OnePlus is going to be moving the 3.5 mm headphone jack at the top but it also could mean that they're going to be getting rid of it that we'll have to wait and see for and from the same leak we see two grills at the bottom so this could be a dual speaker setup with the a piece acting as one speaker and the Bottom Grill acting as the secondary speaker for the battery we're looking looking at around about 3,600 Mah some rumors have pointed towards up to 4,000 Mah which I think is a bit of an exaggeration I think we are likely to see 3,600 MH which would be 200 more Mark may be justified Al although that might be for the largest model so maybe for a potential 256 GB model but expect to pay more compared to the 3 and 3T now when can you get your hands on it when is it going to be released well OnePlus have teased summertime so we've got no specifics but we've had some leakers on weeo suggest June or July time and if we look at some of the recent release dates
