**New Bookshelves and Organization**

I'm currently filming during the daytime with natural lighting, which is perfect because I have a window right here that's lit up beautifully. Unfortunately, it may take some getting used to for you viewers as there are going to be some city noises in the background. However, I wanted to show you my new bookshelves and give you an idea of how I've organized them.

I didn't go for the typical white IKEA bookshelves this time around. They just weren't working for this space anymore, and I was looking to downsize a bit anyway. The new shelves are smaller and more in line with my aesthetic, which will eventually be showcased in an apartment tour that I'll be doing soon. **Organizing the Shelves**

I decided to start by showing you a video of me organizing the shelves, as it's not something that can be easily explained in writing. Here are the empty shelves before I started putting things on them. As you can see, there isn't a lot of space left over for new books, but that's a problem that I'll cross when I get to it.

I arranged the shelves in a way that's similar to my old bookshelves, with adult sci-fi and fantasy novels together, and then separate categories for other types of books. My favorites are displayed prominently at eye level, followed by some of my least favorite books that I still want to read. The Harry Potter box set is on one shelf, along with some graphic novels that I've been meaning to get to.

I also have a section dedicated to unread books and signed arcs that I kept from publishers. There's another round of classics displayed on the other side of the shelves, as well as some extensions that I might turn more to their sides in the future to make them stay up.

**Additional Decorations**

While organizing the bookshelves, I also had a chance to add some decorative items like Funko Pops. However, I must admit that I'm not a huge fan of Funkos and don't think they'll really fit with the aesthetic of my apartment. I've been known to keep fun things that hold sentimental value, but in this case, I might decide to leave them out.

Overall, I'm happy with how the bookshelves turned out, and I think it's a great space for reading and relaxing. bibliothecary is the place to check out because that is where i post monthly vlogs and this month's vlog is gonna all be moving apartment decorating stuff but anyway i have footage of me just in a hoodie not wanting to be perceived organizing these shelves so let's go to that okay so here are the empty shelves let's do this so okay here is the finished product mostly because like there might be some random stuff that i'm going to store down there but basically this is at people am i a little concerned that there's like barely any room for new books kind of but that is a bridge that i will cross when i get there so i kind of arranged it the way that i did at my old places as much as possible as far as like the adult sci-fi is kind of together the adult fantasies together my favorites are right here at like eye level favorites for why are right here like still really like but less favorite and then just kind of like some randoms because i ran out of space to categorize the contemporary is together but like it's all kind of meshed and then we have my harry potter box set i didn't keep the doors open because just space i might open them eventually this is my unread graphic novels and these are my red ones put all my tbr books on this side yes i have some holding the other ones up and then i displayed other random books on this side so i have some classics these are my signed arcs that i kept very few there's another round of classics and then extensions of some of the other shelves here so i might turn some of those more so on their sides as well to make them stay up we shall see but this is it this is it all right so as i said in the video i kind of figured out very similar to how i used to sort of how i was going to organize everything by shelf as i mentioned earlier do i have room for adding new books to this not a ton uh i sure don't so i did recently do an unhaul before i moved some of those books that were on the potential chopping block
