The New Range Rover Sport: A Game-Changer in the Luxury SUV Segment
One of the standout features of the new Range Rover Sport is its option list, which includes a two-seater third row of seats for £1,500. This adds a touch of practicality to the car, as it allows families or groups of three to be accommodated comfortably. The design of this feature is also noteworthy, with a simple yet effective mechanism that flips up to reveal the rear seats.
Inside the cabin, one can appreciate the higher console and improved ergonomics compared to its full-size Range Rover counterparts. The dashboard features an LCD screen and a center screen, similar to those found on the larger Range Rovers, as well as a gear shift rather than the traditional rotary knob used in some models. Additionally, paddle-shifters behind the wheel allow for effortless gear changes.
However, this car marks a departure from its predecessors in terms of approachability. Gone is the low and high range transfer gearbox, replaced by a single-speed transfer case that prioritizes on-road ability over off-road prowess. This configuration sends 58% of power to the rear wheels and 42% to the front axle, rather than the traditional 50/50 split seen in larger Range Rovers. The result is a car that can tackle roads with ease, thanks to its 8-speed gearbox and supercharged engine.
The top-of-the-line model boasts acceleration times of under 5 seconds to 60 mph, with a top speed limited to 155 mph. Engineers claim that this car can lap the Nürburgring in around 832 minutes, an impressive feat considering its competitors were once struggling to match even a Porsche 911's performance.
One notable feature of this model is the rear flip seats, which are another option available on the vehicle. Additionally, a panoramic glass roof has been introduced as an option, similar to those found on larger Range Rovers. However, some may opt for the LCD Dash display instead, which is normally found in smaller Range Rover models.
Another noteworthy feature of this car is its tech-savviness, including an app that allows owners to remotely track their vehicle's location, fuel level, and range, as well as a hot Wi-Fi hotspot that can accommodate up to eight devices. This model for Europe will be powered by the diesel V6 engine, available in both 258 horsepower and 29.2 horsepower variants.
The starting price of this new Range Rover Sport is £51,550, which is slightly more expensive than its predecessor but still relatively affordable considering the car's capabilities. As a result, it's likely that demand will be high for this model, with depreciation expected to be minimal in the short term. Overall, the new Range Rover Sport feels like a game-changer in the luxury SUV segment, offering a perfect blend of on-road dynamics and off-road capability.

I'm going to take you around some of the details on this car but really make it so different first of all it's a stretched wheelbase 7 in extra in the wheelbase so there's way more space inside there's a real hint of evoke about this car um especially from the rear one one of the aspects I'm not quite sure about this is the supercharged version so 510 horsepower and it looks a bit weedy around those exhaust pipes I'm very surprised at how that looks um but overall I think it's a great design really huge doors on it there something that you do note on this car it's very easy to get in speed that a knen uh turbo was doing 2 three years ago so this car is genuinely going to compete dynamically they're telling me uh with that of a Porsche Ken which the previous one never did because it was so overweight um it was like it was isard Kingdom Brunell sort of designed it or something but uh it was so so heavy so it's great that it's it's competitive now at about 2.1 tons instead of 2085 some of the options you get on this car discussed the um rear flip seats another one is the panoramic roof the glass roof proved a hugely popular uh on the fullsize Range Rover and on the evoke
