Motorola Moto G 2015 (Gen 3) Unboxing and Hands On - iGyaan 4K

**The 2015 Moto G: An Incremental Upgrade**

The Motorola Moto G is a device that has been touted as a budget-friendly option for those looking to upgrade their smartphone experience without breaking the bank. The new Moto G gen3, launched in 2015, brings with it some notable improvements and changes compared to its predecessor.

**Design and Build Quality**

The first thing you'll notice about the Moto G is its design. On the front, you have a 5-inch HD display, which is a step up from the 4.7-inch display on the previous model. Below that, you'll find a 5-megapixel camera, which is an upgrade over the 3.1-megapixel sensor on the earlier device. The back of the phone features a 13-megapixel camera with a dual LED flash, which is designed to improve low-light photography and color correction.

On the bottom, you'll find a micro-USB charging and data syncing port, as well as a quick-release notch that allows you to easily remove the back panel. The right side of the phone has volume rockers and a textured main power button, which is designed to make it easy to use even with one hand. The top of the phone features a secondary noise cancellation microphone and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The left side of the phone is bare bones, while the back of the device features a Motorola logo that can be removed.

One of the standout features of the Moto G's design is its use of IP67-rated materials, which make it resistant to immersion in water for up to 30 minutes. This means that even if you accidentally drop your phone in water, it should be able to withstand being submerged without sustaining significant damage. The frame and shell are also more rigid and robust than those found on the earlier device.

**Performance**

The Moto G is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon processor, which runs at 1.4 GHz. This may not seem like a lot compared to some of the other devices available in this price range, but it's still a capable processor that should be able to handle most everyday tasks with ease. The phone comes in two different RAM and ROM configurations: 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage, or 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage.

The Moto G also features dual SIM card slots and a micro-SD card slot, which allows you to easily expand your storage capacity if needed. This makes it an ideal choice for those who need to use two different phone numbers or who want to store more photos and videos on their device.

**Software**

The Moto G runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, which means that you'll get access to all the latest features and updates from Google. The phone also comes with a number of pre-installed apps, including Motorola Assist and Motorola Migrate, which allow you to customize your experience and easily switch between devices.

One of the standout features of the Moto G's software is its use of stock Android, which means that it gets all the latest updates and security patches as soon as they're available. This makes it an ideal choice for those who want a seamless Android experience without having to wait for manufacturers like Samsung or Google to catch up.

**Camera**

The Moto G features a 13-megapixel camera at the back, which is an upgrade over the 5-megapixel sensor found on the earlier device. The camera app is also very user-friendly, with features like manual focus and exposure control that make it easy to take great photos even without extensive experience.

One of the standout features of the Moto G's camera is its ability to capture video at 1080p, which is a significant improvement over some of the other devices available in this price range. However, it's worth noting that the phone does not support 4K video recording.

**Conclusion**

The Motorola Moto G gen3 is an incremental upgrade over the earlier device, with some notable improvements and changes compared to its predecessor. The phone features a sleek design, a capable processor, and a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to navigate and use even without extensive experience. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of more expensive devices, the Moto G is still an excellent choice for those looking for a budget-friendly smartphone with a lot of value for money.
