The Nubia Red Magic 18: A Phone with Impressive Specs but Poor Market Hype

In today's market, having impressive specs is no longer enough to sell a phone. You need hype, and that's something that many brands struggle with. The Nubia Red Magic 18, however, boasts an impressive spec sheet, complete with 666 GB of RAM, 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage, and a 24-megapixel dual camera setup featuring a telephoto and normal sensor. But despite its impressive specs, the phone seems to be struggling in terms of market hype.

The first person to talk about this phone is actually Nokia, which has made a bold move by associating itself with Nubia. The phone's name suggests that it will come with a powerful processor, but as of now, there hasn't been much buzz around it. In India and other nations, the lack of hype surrounding this phone is evident. Companies like Xiaomi and OnePlus seem to be doing a better job in terms of creating demand for their phones.

The Nubia Red Magic 18: A Phone with Impressive Specs but Poor Market Hype

To buy or not to buy? Deciding on whether to upgrade your phone is always a tough decision, especially when it comes to newer models. Google Home and Amazon Echo Dot are popular options for smart home devices, but which one should you choose?

As of now, I own both the Google Home and Amazon Echo Dot, and I have to say that the Amazon Echo Dot is still the more practical solution in India. They offer a wide range of services that are supported by the Echo Dot, including music streaming, news updates, and more. However, when it comes to sound quality, both devices fall short. The speakers on both devices are tiny, which can be a problem for some users.

One advantage of the Amazon Echo Dot is its 3.5 mm audio out port, which allows you to connect it to a better speaker and get a better music experience. This feature is not available on the Google Home, which limits its sound quality compared to the Echo Dot. In India, where many services are still compatible with the Echo Dot, it may be a more practical choice.

Gaming Consoles: 1080p at 60fps: Is It a Requirement?

In the world of gaming consoles, one question that keeps popping up is whether or not 1080p at 60fps should be considered a standard feature. Xbox One X and some games do support this resolution and frame rate, but it's not always a given.

As of now, many high-end consoles like the PlayStation 4 Pro support both 1080p at 60fps and 4K at 60fps. However, future consoles may opt for only one or the other, so it's hard to say what the future holds.

One Plus 5T vs One Plus 6: Should You Wait for the New Model?

When a new model is announced, many users are tempted to upgrade just because of the new processor and improved specs. However, in the case of the One Plus 6, which features a Snapdragon 845 processor based on a 10-nanometer process, it's not clear if upgrading now will make a meaningful difference.

The performance difference between the Snapdragon 835 and 845 may be negligible for most users. If you're happy with your current phone and don't need the latest and greatest specs, then there's no real reason to upgrade just yet. However, if you want to see some radical improvements in terms of design or camera capabilities, then it might be worth waiting for the One Plus 7.

Upgrading for the Sake of Upgrading

When it comes to smartphones, many users get caught up in the hype surrounding new releases and decide to upgrade just because. However, when you look at the spec sheet, you may not notice a huge difference between the latest model and its predecessor.

The performance of existing phones is already so good that upgrading for the sake of upgrading may not be worth it. You need to look at other aspects of the new phone, such as radical new designs or improved camera capabilities, to justify the upgrade.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is raunchy and let's do a Q&A session and guys if I'm not running that well just bear with me and I'll be doing this Q&A session I have taken down some common questions that I was getting around from Twitter so let's get on with this one and the first question that I got was from and sure when he's talking about the oneplus he says is oneplus smartphone increasing the price with every next mobile model is it just to find out they're just trying to reach the price level of Samsung pixels or Apple flagships and sure I don't think so oneplus is trying to match the what do you say flagship prices of Samsung Apple if they do that people will simply offer for Apple and stuff but yeah it's true that they are increasing comprising a little bit traditionally with every model they were increasing the price by about three thousand rupees in India the current price of the one plus 5t is about 33,000 and yeah we are hearing that rumors that the one plus six that be launching some time and me would be price slightly higher and but we're hearing that the price of the base variant might be around 34 to 35 thousand let's go to the next one this is by Sanjay which is the best gadget that you have purchased value for money Sanjay I would say best gadget is something that you have purchased and use it a lot for example your business work or whatever so it's not just value what do you say in terms of how much it costs but how much value does it provide to a person I won't talk about smartphones because I just don't have any primary smartphone I keep changing smart fault because I'm testing but there are quite a few what do you say tech products that I have purchased and I feel they're very good value for money let's start with cameras because that's what I use for shooting video videos and I would say well my one of my best purchase was this Canon 70d it's now sort of broken the sensor is having some issue it lasted me for almost three years and if you've seen my videos have been following me after this camera I purchase it was pretty expensive at that time and with the lens that I bought it was the 18 to 1 35mm kaitlin's and cost me almost one like a big purchase at time for me but it lasted very well and it does the job so I would say was very good value for money it improved the production level and it satisfied me now it sadly broken I have to fix a and another camera that I also purchased that was the Panasonic gh4 it was even more expensive if I recall I don't exactly recall there was about one lakh seventy thousand but that camera also is actually pure value for money if you consider how many videos that have made with that one I must have made four thousand videos with that and currently also other unboxing videos that you see and other stuff I used the can what'd he say Panasonic gh4 so again that was also full value for money I would say product for me that helped me in my business in terms of laptops this is odd one I have the new MacBook Pros etc as you can see but I don't like them and I don't say that the new MacBook Pros are value for money in fact in value for money I would say it was my old MacBook Air I think so the one that I purchased a question in 2013 it came with just 4 gigabytes of RAM and still it actually works and in terms of battery life it gives me better battery life than these overpriced MacBook Pros so in terms of laptops I would say the MacBook Air that I had the 13-inch old one was pure value for money and in fact it still works now it's been used with by my wife and my daughter so pure value for money from what it offers and still the battery life was actually very good after all these years this is my sake I mean it's asking honor view 10 is the best bank or the galaxy a8 plus in terms of overall performance like NFC waterproof I don't think so the honor view 10 has two waterproofing so what a proofing is not there but if you would ask me between the owner view 10 or the galaxy 8 plus I would definitely go with honor view 10 honor view 10 is far more superior device compared to the galaxy 8 plus the 8 plus is simply does not match in terms of the processing power what the view 10 has and also in terms of camera performance the view 10 is actually very good but one area where the honor of you tend fault shot and I said that in even my review is that in terms of video it does not have any stabilization not even electronic image stabilization but apart from that I would definitely pick the owner over the galaxy a8 plus this is 5vj he is asking well this is a common question that I get from quite a few of you so I've taken this he says still data approach is three memorize all of them started giving problems after our completion of over one year of usage can a company reduce the performance of the product to Bruce repurchases we have seen this in the industry even Apple did that with software updates yes technically they can slow down but let's not go over there what I will say is that these me phones that you are talking are mostly mid-ranged or budget oriented phones and there is a quality difference between budget and mid-range for compared to what's let's say higher and fall for example the interconnects that we have in the smart phones with the higher price falls like flagships they might use better interconnects like gold-plated ones they last a lot longer I would say over time compared to our ones used with the cheap smartphones they might use copper or even lower quality interconnects and when you for the phone as new you won't notice anything but as it ages these components actually don't each that when hence the performance also loses and also one more thing is that many of these chief the phones I would say budget oriented phones the build quality is just okay so if you drop them quite a few times the internal components can get damaged I've noticed a actually quite a few Xiaomi phones whose fingerprint scanner stopped working after a couple of drops so again again it depends again you simply can't compare are the quality components what you're getting honor let's say 10,000 or 12,000 for to a phone that are costing about 50 60 thousand there is a quality difference but again let's be realistic we don't use the same phone for three or four years so yeah I would say for budget oriented forms if you take care of them they should be Italy lasts for about one and a half to two years after that things start to decay you in the battery life start to fall down and the component degradation is obviously there this is my ka he's asking which is better in terms of gaming the MediaTek p60 or the Snapdragon 630 to be very frank I haven't used any device that yet whether what do you say new me tech piece 60 but the P 60 is actually significantly more powerful processor compared to the Snapdragon 630 I'm actually working on a video on the media P 60 because my health is not good icon motion hopefully the next couple of weeks are posted but in terms of what you say raw what is it features what the P 60 has it has better than there's a 630 but I haven't done a side-by-side gaming comparison if I recall the media P 60 has the Molly g7t 2 GPU and that is actually a pretty good GPU this is my hashanah do you think nokia make a great comeback within the next two years I actually feel Nokia is now frankly doing a far better job last year I was not impressed with what Nokia did for example the nokia 6 what they launched but was very overpriced and other things even the Nokia 8 which I had unboxed last year though it has the boot specs it was not optimized smartphone and that's the reason it didn't sell well in India and they had to drop the price but now with the Nokia 7 plus I really feel and Nokia has done a very good job but again in India specifically I feel they are still commanding quite a bit of premium so we'll know if consumers accept that or not because this is a very good device the Nokia sin plus I like it currently my primary Simon isn't that very good performance very good battery life good camera Praveen yeah the pricing is nice so to be interesting to see if Nokia can continue to make good phones but at the same time be cost conscious because they are big players in the market for example Xiaomi has become very big honor now has in the recent past has become very aggressive with the pricing so it's not like what do you say the in terms of performance the honor phones the sraw mean phones are lacking lot behind compared to Nokia so again India has a very cost to conscious market for example we know that the redmi note 5 probe is selling for 14,000 and this is almost 26,000 so you can see the price difference so it'll be interesting to see if Indian consumers accept that what you say premium pricing what Nokia starting no doubt the phone is actually really good okay this is my mr. Rana he my CPU does not have a HTML I think you're referring to your laptop or whatever he says I want to connect to my LED TV via HTML what are the converters available check if your laptop actually has a USB type-c there are quite a few USB type-c to HDMI converter in fact and using one with my MacBook Pro I'm using a USB type-c converter to DisplayPort and even for regular USB there are HDMI what do you say out converters I have personally not use it on a USB what do USB type-c I've used quite a few so there are converters don't worry about it you just have to buy that dongle this is by Parag he's asking honoré provide twenty three thousand good deal or not honor rate probe was a very good phone the only biggest con that I have with the phone is that it tends to what do you say heat a little bit faster compared to most other phones so you might experience overheating issues frankly I would say if you can wait wait for some time because they're very strong rumors that some time and means owner is going to launch a new what do you say flagship shuttle for night and I think so that might be the replacement for the owner 8 Pro this is my I'm can he's asking which is your favorite smart 400 rupees 15 thousand tries packet and do you like it as of now I would say the redmi note 5 throw would be the best pick at the beach 14,000 and but the big problem whether it be note 5 pro is that flash sales and lot of black marketing that is going on so it's very difficult to buy another option is to honor 7x I'm still waiting for what is a motor to launch their new Moto G 6 lineup for there are rumors that the Asus will also launch the zenfone 5 liner but I doubt try to be very aggressive right around 15,000 so yes as of now let me note 5 Pro and if you can't get that then there is that honor 7x this is my mono which is asking what is important for this is a very interesting question what is important for you when you buy a while phone worth rupees 50000 my preference he says software updates reliability an aging of smartphone must be at least 3 years what you thought well let's be really realistic even flagship smartphones they won't perform that well after three years after 2 years you will notice a lag and staff it happens even with the flagships that's the reality and I would say you are asking about worth of 50-ton personally I would say it's not word to put that much money on a smartphone unless camera is your highest priority because still I would say the best camera performance is found on flagship smartphones like the pixel has one of the best camera and that cost around that fifty thousand plus mark so if camera is the highest priority yeah you can go with the flagship but apart from that I frankly feel the performance difference has narrowed down quite a bit and now we have devices like the honor you 10 1 + 5 T etcetera or even the 1 + 6 that might be coming so you really don't need to spend that much money I would give a very easy to understand example for this one let's say you're buying a car we have great cars what do you say and around the 10 lakh price band that is about let's say Honda City or good hatchbacks so these are very good cars and they'll run very well but again there are some people who like to go for or D or a Mercedes or something like that so you are just paying the premium because you want that Prime that's the same case now with flagship smartphones you are paying a premium just for what that branding and you want to be associated with that Prime that's why you're paying a huge prima guess there would be some difference I won't say the onda city can compete with the rd or whatever but yeah you are paying a huge premium for very slight what do you say increase and day to day performance yes you will get that brand value but start is important you can spend but frankly speaking I would say now the price man hundred rupees 35,000 you have some very good smartphones that offer true value for money this is by summit he's asking could you suggest me some options for phone that are actually truly 4G operation on the boots and you're talking about true of 4G volte it's up what I even made a video about it a couple of weeks backs here is the video as of now in India the owner view 10 supports that and I didn't test this but the new Opel f7 I think so is based on the media take P 60 chipset which actually also sub duel volte so you can check out that there are some new smartphones that are going to come out by melee attack that will be supporting basically the p60 chipset supports true duel for chief volte but as of now honor Luton is the one that I've tested maybe you can also check the on Oppo f7 I personally didn't test that but it has the v60 chipset that supports it this is PI what's the technician interesting name he is talking about the new BS Z 11 mini spec snapdragon 666 GB of RAM 64 GB of internal storage 1 or 128 GB of internal storage 24 megapixel dual camera telephoto and normal sensor just for Opie's 18,000 yeah specs look very impressive but the reality mission in today's market is that you need a lot of hype to sell your phone and sadly speaking Nubia this hardly any hype you are the first person who's actually talking about this one and Nokia about the Nubia said the 18 so yea though the device might be good but again it's very poorly market in India and hardly many people talk about it side factors in India and many other nations I would say you need a lot of hype these days to sell your phones and companies like Xiaomi 1 plus etc are doing a lot better job in terms of hyping up the phone and creating that demand compared to many other brands this is by cidade the which to buy Google home many or the Amazon echo dot I actually own both and I would say as of now still the Amazon echo dot is a more practical solution in India and they are more services actually supported by the echo compared to the Google home as of now and also in terms of sound I would say the Google home meaning sound both of them actually sound very teeny because the speakers are very tiny on both of them so but the advantage that this what do you say Amazon echo dot has that it has a 3.5 mm audio out so you can connect this to let's say you have a better speaker thus you can get a better music experience that is actually not possible on the Google mini so between the two I would say specifically if you are in India with the echo dot because a lot more services as of now work with the Amazon echo compared to the Google home in India this is five Bansal he's asking can we expect 1080p at 60fps as standard in country is talking about gaming consoles I think so by 2020 consoles like that much needed feature Monson you are getting or what is a 1080p at 60fps now on gaming and consoles for example the one Xbox one X does support that 1080p at 60fps many of the games you can scale or have an option to scale to that or go for the native for Cassandra's Ellucian so yes you are getting consoles like that and yeah the future consoles maybe the whatever the ps4 playstation 5 will actually not even support or what is it will support 1080p at 60fps but will also support 4k at 60fps so yeah we have gotta get that but on high-end consoles this is why Sudeep again a very interesting question and I want you guys to listen to this he's asking since I already have purchased a 1 plus 5t + 1 + 6 is coming or with the snapdragon he'd 45 both snapdragon 835 and 845 based and 10 nanometer process should I skip the 1 + 6 and wait for the 1 + 7 because I will I will be having the Snapdragon 855 built in the 7 an ohmmeter technology so the a very valid question and I would say you're going it at the wrong way are you currently happy with your 1 plus 5t or not that is the question that you need to answer because frankly speaking in terms of performance difference you will not notice any performance difference between the Snapdragon 835 and the 845 in your daily usage none both verses are so fast that you won't notice any difference so it's just that you are looking at what you say upgrading for the sake of upgrading are you satisfied with the oneplus fighting you should look at some of the other improvements that one plasma 6 might bring maybe they have improved the camera or done something interesting we don't know very so by Masek but we have reached a point on in smartphones is that just going with the next processor upgrade I would say you won't see a meaningful difference in terms of performance because already the performance of the existing are so good so you have to look at other things what a new smartphone module is bringing it's bringing a radical new what do you say design or radical improvement in the camera or AI features because those are the things that can be improved and you'll notice some difference but it just terms of processing speed apart from benchmarks and daily usage you won't notice a huge difference so guys these were the common questions that I was getting regarding this Q&A session and guys that's it for now for this Q&A session and if you are still not subscribed to my youtube channel hit that subscribe button thanks for watching this is Ranjith and I hope to see you in my next video take care guyshi there this is raunchy and let's do a Q&A session and guys if I'm not yes you will get that brand value but start is important you can spend but frankly speaking I would say now the price man hundred rupees 35,000 you have some very good smartphones that offer true value for money this is by summit he's asking could you suggest me some options for phone that are actually truly 4G operation on the boots and you're talking about true of 4G volte it's up what I even made a video about it a couple of weeks backs here is the video as of now in India the owner view 10 supports that and I didn't test this but the new Opel f7 I think so is based on the media take P 60 chipset which actually also sub duel volte so you can check out that there are some new smartphones that are going to come out by melee attack that will be supporting basically the p60 chipset supports true duel for chief volte but as of now honor Luton is the one that I've tested maybe you can also check the on Oppo f7 I personally didn't test that but it has the v60 chipset that supports it this is PI what's the technician interesting name he is talking about the new BS Z 11 mini spec snapdragon 666 GB of RAM 64 GB of internal storage 1 or 128 GB of internal storage 24 megapixel dual camera telephoto and normal sensor just for Opie's 18,000 yeah specs look very impressive but the reality mission in today's market is that you need a lot of hype to sell your phone and sadly speaking Nubia this hardly any hype you are the first person who's actually talking about this one and Nokia about the Nubia said the 18 so yea though the device might be good but again it's very poorly market in India and hardly many people talk about it side factors in India and many other nations I would say you need a lot of hype these days to sell your phones and companies like Xiaomi 1 plus etc are doing a lot better job in terms of hyping up the phone and creating that demand compared to many other brands this is by cidade the which to buy Google home many or the Amazon echo dot I actually own both and I would say as of now still the Amazon echo dot is a more practical solution in India and they are more services actually supported by the echo compared to the Google home as of now and also in terms of sound I would say the Google home meaning sound both of them actually sound very teeny because the speakers are very tiny on both of them so but the advantage that this what do you say Amazon echo dot has that it has a 3.5 mm audio out so you can connect this to let's say you have a better speaker thus you can get a better music experience that is actually not possible on the Google mini so between the two I would say specifically if you are in India with the echo dot because a lot more services as of now work with the Amazon echo compared to the Google home in India this is five Bansal he's asking can we expect 1080p at 60fps as standard in country is talking about gaming consoles I think so by 2020 consoles like that much needed feature Monson you are getting or what is a 1080p at 60fps now on gaming and consoles for example the one Xbox one X does support that 1080p at 60fps many of the games you can scale or have an option to scale to that or go for the native for Cassandra's Ellucian so yes you are getting consoles like that and yeah the future consoles maybe the whatever the ps4 playstation 5 will actually not even support or what is it will support 1080p at 60fps but will also support 4k at 60fps so yeah we have gotta get that but on high-end consoles this is why Sudeep again a very interesting question and I want you guys to listen to this he's asking since I already have purchased a 1 plus 5t + 1 + 6 is coming or with the snapdragon he'd 45 both snapdragon 835 and 845 based and 10 nanometer process should I skip the 1 + 6 and wait for the 1 + 7 because I will I will be having the Snapdragon 855 built in the 7 an ohmmeter technology so the a very valid question and I would say you're going it at the wrong way are you currently happy with your 1 plus 5t or not that is the question that you need to answer because frankly speaking in terms of performance difference you will not notice any performance difference between the Snapdragon 835 and the 845 in your daily usage none both verses are so fast that you won't notice any difference so it's just that you are looking at what you say upgrading for the sake of upgrading are you satisfied with the oneplus fighting you should look at some of the other improvements that one plasma 6 might bring maybe they have improved the camera or done something interesting we don't know very so by Masek but we have reached a point on in smartphones is that just going with the next processor upgrade I would say you won't see a meaningful difference in terms of performance because already the performance of the existing are so good so you have to look at other things what a new smartphone module is bringing it's bringing a radical new what do you say design or radical improvement in the camera or AI features because those are the things that can be improved and you'll notice some difference but it just terms of processing speed apart from benchmarks and daily usage you won't notice a huge difference so guys these were the common questions that I was getting regarding this Q&A session and guys that's it for now for this Q&A session and if you are still not subscribed to my youtube
