Water Cooled 980 Ti Out of the Box! - Zotac 980 Ti Variants & EN970 ZBOX

Thank you to MSI for sending us here to Computex this year and also thank you to Linda.com. First up at Zotac, we have a new ZBOX mainly designed behind their Steam machine that we actually saw at PAX East but now with more customizability in mind with the steam machine it was all one package this one is customizable.

Also, thanks for having us here at Computex this year. Our first product to show off is a new ZBOX. We've been working on this project for a while, and we're excited to finally share it with you. As you may know, our previous Steam machine was a single unit that included everything you needed to get started with gaming. However, we wanted to make it easier for customers to upgrade and customize their system over time.

With the new ZBOX, we've taken a different approach. Instead of a single, self-contained unit, we're offering a more modular design that allows customers to swap out individual components as needed. This not only makes it easier to upgrade, but also gives us the flexibility to offer different configurations and options for our customers.

The ZBOX is available in two main models: one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage, and another with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of SSD storage. The more basic model will have two 2.5-inch drive slots and two memory slots like laptop style SODIMM memory GDR3 slots. It will also come with an Intel Broadwell 5200U processor, an NVIDIA GTX 970M graphics card, and a range of other components.

One of the key features that sets the ZBOX apart from our previous Steam machine is its design language. We've gone for a completely new look, with an all-black finish and LED lighting around the power button on the front. This not only makes the system look more premium, but also helps to give it a more futuristic feel.

Now, let's take a closer look at some of the other components that make up the ZBOX. On the inside, you'll find the same NVIDIA GTX 970M graphics card that we've used in our previous Steam machine. However, this time around we're offering four different variants of the card: the reference model, the Amp Edition with a triple-fan cooler, the Omega Edition with dual-blade fans, and finally the Extreme Edition with custom lighting.

Each of these editions offers something unique, from the Amp Edition's triple-fan cooling system to the Extreme Edition's custom lighting. We've also included an SD card reader, microphone jack, and headphone jack on the back of the system, as well as Wi-Fi antenna, four HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, and two USB 2.0 ports.

The power plug is located on the side of the system, along with a 19V, 3.9A power adapter. We've also included an Ethernet cable and a set of user manuals to help customers get started.

Now that we've covered some of the details of the ZBOX, let's take a look at the specs sheet below:

ZBOX Specs:

* Processor: Intel Broadwell 5200U

* Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX 970M (four variants available)

* RAM: 8GB or 4GB

* Storage: 128GB or 64GB SSD

* Connectivity: SD card reader, microphone jack, headphone jack, Wi-Fi antenna, four HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and power plug

* Cooling System: Triple-fan cooler (Amp Edition), dual-blade fans (Omega Edition), or custom lighting (Extreme Edition)

We're excited to offer this new ZBOX at Computex this year, and we hope it will help us meet the growing demand for high-performance gaming systems. As always, thank you to MSI for partnering with us on this project.

machine that we actually saw at PAX East but now with more customizability in mind with the steam machine it was all one package this one is customizable also instead of the like white and silver design of the old steam machine ZBOX well old is a kind of weird name cuz it's not even out yet uh it is now an all blackout design also something to note that led ring around the power button on the front can be turned off in the Bios just in case you don't want that light there also it's called an En 970 for now but it'll have a better name going in the future so I'm not entirely sure what it will be called the pro model will have 8 gigs of RAM and 128 GB SSD inside of it but the more barebones version will have two 2 and 1/2 in Drive slots two uh like laptop style sodm memory gdr3 slots one m.2 slot it will come with an i5 Broadwell 5200u processor uh an Nvidia 970m with 3 G gab of ddr5 and enough cooling to hopefully keep it from throttling in terms of IO on the front we have an SD card reader a microphone Jack a headphone jack and two USB 3.0 ports on the back you have a Wi-Fi antenna four HDMI 2.0 ports 2 GB ethernet ports two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports plus the power plug then we get to graphics cards they have four different versions of the 980 TI and I I know that's a lot but we'll go fairly quickly don't you worry about it the first one is the 9980 ti amp just their standard edition this is only $10 more than the reference card so pretty good deal for a triple fan cooler it's the same cooler that we've seen in the past so I won't spend too much time on that but the back plate on here is a wraparound so it looks kind of cool and the 980 TI doesn't have a back plate by reference so that's actually pretty nice the amp Omega Edition is the same kind of overall cooler no major differences other than the fact that it's 2 and 1 half slots and the fans have dual blades on them last but not least of the more Standard air coolers is the amp extreme which has more or less the same cooler as the amp Omega but it has lights on the front and lights on the top and then in terms of overclocking it's a freaking Beast its base core clock is 1253 with a boost clock of 1355 and a memory clock of 7,210 and then we get to the Arctic Storm which is probably just as cool as it sounds it has the same uh wraparound back blade as the previous ones but now it has a kind of cool Arcy styled Art Deco on it it's really really heavy due to the fact that it's a water cooled or air cooled card and therefore comes with a support bracket which is not currently shown as they don't have it here but it'll enable you to screw it onto the end of the card and then fix it to either the bottom or top of your case to help support it as again it's a really heavy card you don't want it to droop and potentially crack now the Arctic Storm doesn't have much of an overclock on it by default now you might have expected more in this realm but they're expecting you to want to overclock this card yourself as it's kind of like a water cooled hybrid card thingy I don't really necessarily blame them for that all right guys let me know what you think about things in general I know I covered like five things at this booth so just let me know what you think about stuff in the comments down below or on Twitter at lukor LFR don't forget to subscribe follow share favorite like
