Moto G Unboxing First Boot & Hands on Overview

Unboxing the Motorola Moto G: A Detailed Review

The Motorola Moto G is a budget-friendly smartphone that promises to deliver a great user experience without breaking the bank. As we take a closer look at this device, it's clear that Motorola has put a lot of thought into its design and features. The first thing that catches our eye is the phone's sleek design, which features a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 720p HD. The screen is bright and responsive, making it perfect for watching videos or browsing the web.

As we move on to the camera, we find that it's a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash support. While this may not be the highest-resolution camera available, Motorola has promised that the Moto G will receive the KitKat update in January, which means it will get the latest Android features and improvements. In terms of storage, the Moto G comes with 8GB of internal storage, but unfortunately, there's no microSD card slot to expand it further.

The phone's battery is non-removable, which may be a concern for some users. However, the back cover is easy to open, allowing us to swap out our SIM card and add more storage capacity if needed. The Moto G also features a quad-core processor, making it suitable for everyday tasks like browsing and social media.

One of the standout features of the Moto G is its stock Android experience. We don't see many pre-installed apps, which means that you get a clean and intuitive interface right out of the box. The phone also comes with Google Now, Motorola Migrate, and Quick Office, which are all useful tools for managing your digital life.

In terms of performance, we're pleased to find that the Moto G is quick and responsive. The phone's screen responds well to touch input, and navigation is smooth and intuitive. We do see some minor lag when playing games or watching videos, but overall, this is a solid performer.

As we take a closer look at the settings menu, it's clear that Motorola has put a lot of thought into customizing the user experience. The phone supports double-swipe gestures and auto-brightness sensor, which make navigating the interface feel more natural and intuitive. We also see options for adjusting screen brightness, changing the language, and migrating data from other devices.

One of the most interesting features of the Moto G is its ability to predict when it will rain tomorrow. Using a feature called "weather prediction," the phone uses location data and atmospheric conditions to forecast the weather. While this may not be 100% accurate, it's still a clever idea that shows Motorola has put some thought into making the user experience more personalized.

As we finish our review of the Moto G, we're left with a solid impression of this budget-friendly smartphone. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of more expensive devices, the Moto G offers a great value proposition for those on a tight budget. With its sleek design, powerful performance, and intuitive interface, we think that the Motorola Moto G is definitely worth considering for anyone in the market for a new smartphone.

The Moto G's packaging also includes a quick-start guide and some basic accessories like earphones and a charging cable. The phone itself comes with a SIM card tray, which allows you to swap out your SIM card or add more storage capacity using a microSD card (although this is not supported on the 8GB model). Overall, Motorola has put a lot of thought into making the Moto G an accessible and user-friendly device.

In conclusion, the Motorola Moto G is a solid budget smartphone that offers great value for its price. With its sleek design, powerful performance, and intuitive interface, we think that this phone is definitely worth considering for anyone in the market for a new smartphone. Whether you're looking to upgrade from an old device or simply want a reliable phone for everyday use, the Moto G is definitely worth taking a closer look at.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranjit and in this video I'll do the unboxing for this Moto G and I'm really excited about this uh device because it's a very affordable mid-range Android phone and it packs some very impressive specs like a 720P HD screen a quad core processor so let's do the unboxing for this Moto G now so here I have the Moto G box and the first thing that stried me is how small the box is uh this is Samsung Galaxy S4 box and as you can see it's pretty big so it's a pretty small box and as you can see it says Motorola and now it says it's a Google company uh Google has bought Motorola and we have the Moto G one thing uh you need to know is that uh Moto G comes in 8GB and 16GB capacity the one I have is 8GB as of now this product has not launched in India but it has launched in UK I got it from UK and uh it has recently also launched in US in US you can get the 8 GB variant for $179 and the 16 GB variant for around $200 I got this 8GB from UK for around £135 and actually it does not specify any specifications here I'll have the specifications in the show notes and it just says here that uh it has coring Gorilla Glass HD display It also says that it is water replant uh coating and long battery life and it has a standard uh what do you say Android and actually the advantage of this phone is that uh it is mostly stock Android not completely stock but uh very close to stock and as you can see we have the Moto G itself it's a pretty small it's it has a 4.5 in screen but it's a 720P HD screen we'll come back to this device a bit later and let's quickly look at what else do we get in the Box actually uh as you can see we do not get any power brick so that was surprising we just get a uh USB to micro USB cable and we get some manuals hence this box was is pretty small you don't have any uh power adapter or a what do you say headset also it just says Moto G let's get started and gives a brief idea about the device and how to open the back cover and insert the Sim the battery is also sealed inside and just a quick start guide how to get started and we have the safety and the regulatory guide I guess nothing special uh so let's have a closer look at this device itself and actually it's pretty small uh pretty compact I would say and it just says Motorola uh Google company so and at the back we have this 5 map camera and this can also record video up to 720P HD we also have a LED flash M that means it's a Motorola logo the back cover will open and this is the Black Version we also get this Moto G in different colors so if you're interested in that you can also check out that you do get it in multiple colors so let me just uh remove this protective cover that we have let me peel it off and let's see the handset itself uh let's try to open up the back cover let me see if I can figure it out and the back cover can open but it is pretty tough to take out it and as you can see it comes out and we can add our micro SIM over here I'll do that right away and do note that uh it says that the capacity is 8 GB and the battery is actually non- removable though the back cover comes out it's non user replaceable battery and uh I'll add my SIM card here as you can see our SIM card goes in here do note that we do not get any micro SD card slot so the capacity that you get is all you get you cannot expand the capacity so let's put back this back cover now and let's try to do the first boot for this device I hope it has enough charge and the power button is over here and we have the volume rocker on this side and on the bottom we have the micro USB slot here is the earphone uh sorry the microphone and on this end actually nothing and actually it's pretty Sleek let's see if it has any power so this will be the first boot for this Moto G and immediately it starts it's just say motola give me a haptic feedback also and the screen is pretty bright so it might take some time because this is the uh first boot for this device and it says to change the language I'll use English United States and let's start I'll just quickly connect to my Wi-Fi network and I'll be back so it has connected quickly to my Wi-Fi network and I'll just accept the terms I'll add my Google account a bit later let's just quickly look at it and it also says that we can migrate our stuff I'll do that later and actually it has booted and the screen uh quality looks actually pretty nice for the price as I told you it's a pretty affordable uh phone and we do get this double swipe and we do also have the auto brightness sensor as you can see we do have the auto brightness sensor so that's nice and uh let's look at the settings and as you can see let's go to about the device and as you can see it comes out of the box with the Android version 4.3 that is chili bean uh Motorola has also promised that in January this device will get the KitKat update that's the Android 4.4 so that was the Android version and as this is a 8GB version let's also look at the available storage that you get and out of that 8 GB you just get 5.1 GB so you need to be careful if you are a person who likes to install a lot of apps and games it's a good idea that you go with the 16GB version instead of the 8GB version so it hold us a quad core processor and let's see if we get this question know for the appay you need to go like this and actually uh as you can see not a lot of uh extra apps are installed we have this Assist app and we also have this Motorola Migrate uh and we also getting this quick office these days even with the Nexus we got that one with this one so looks like very stock Android experience that we get and obvious we'll have Google now uh let's uh check that will it rain tomorrow no rain is not expected tomorrow in Hyderabad the forecast is so as you can see that also works fine so again uh let's also quickly uh look at the camera the camera is just a 5 megapix camera so let me just uh look at it let me this Galaxy Note 3 box and let's try to take some snaps and you just tap in to take a snap I'll show you that again you just tap in and you take the snack and for settings you need to swipe it like this I'll be uh doing actually a full in-depth review for this Moto G I'll also make a dedicated video regarding the camera performance and I'll also be posting uh gaming and what do you say benchmarks with this phone so that's it for now for this quick unboxing of this Moto G again stay tuned to my channel for more on the Moto jeep thank you this is Ranjit and I hope to see you in my
