**The Upcoming Ferrari Roma Spider**
I have had the privilege of perusing the specs of the upcoming Ferrari Roma spider, and I must say, it's an exciting addition to the Ferrari family. The car will feature perforations for ventilated electric seats, allowing for a full electric control system, which is a must-have for any serious car enthusiast. The fact that you can see the embroideries for the prancing horses from outside the car adds a touch of elegance and sophistication. With the blue exterior and interior design, it's clear that this car will be a head-turner.
One of the most striking features of the Roma spider is its front end design, which features a blue detailing on the front lip and grill, complete with silver badges to match the car's overall aesthetic. The design harks back to the iconic cars of the 1960s, with elegant lines, swooping curves, and simple bodywork that exudes a sense of simplicity and elegance. This is not a car that will be cluttered with aerodynamic fins and vents, but rather one that will evoke a sense of Touring Car charm.
**Topaz Detailing**
Before the Roma spider can be taken for its first spin, it needs to undergo a rigorous detailing process at Topaz detailing to get some full paint protection film. This is a crucial step in ensuring that the car remains in pristine condition and protected from the elements. As always, I'm excited to see this car come together and can't wait until it's actually here and ready for me to collect.
**The Ferrari Collection**
I've had the pleasure of sharing some exciting news about the upcoming Ferrari Roma spider with you, but that's not all - we're also assembling a collection of cars from Marinello, including the Puro, sf90, 296 GTS, and now the Roma spider. Each car in this collection will offer a unique driving experience, whether it's the four-wheel drive capabilities of the Puro or the hybrid V8 power of the sf90. This is a collection that celebrates the diversity of Ferrari's lineup and offers something for every type of driver.
**Ferrari of Austin**
I'd like to extend a huge thank you to the team at Ferrari of Austin for hosting me today and showing us around some of their latest offerings. The team was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and I was impressed by the excitement and enthusiasm that surrounds the upcoming Roma spider. As always, Ferrari is synonymous with supercars, and it's clear that this car will be no exception.
**The Future**
As we look to the future, there are bound to be some changes and updates in the lineup. Some cars may come and go, while others may stay permanently. But one thing is certain - Ferrari is always pushing the boundaries of innovation and design. I'll be keeping a close eye on things as they develop, and I'm confident that this collection will continue to evolve and grow.
**A Final Word**
That's all for today, folks. I hope you enjoyed this special preview of the upcoming Ferrari Roma spider, and I look forward to seeing it come together in the near future. Remember, when it comes to Ferraris, there's nothing quite like the real thing. Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes peeks at what's in store for this incredible car.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: entoday I'm here in Texas visiting Ferrari of Austin to finally reveal the spec of my next Ferrari we're here at the dealership who have very kindly invited me to come on by we're going to check out the showroom take a look around and head into the configuration Suite to go through and share with you exactly what I've chosen for a car that has now reached what Ferrari call status 20 that means it's nearly completed production and it won't be too long until it touches down and arrives at the Museum now there's a stunning 812 GTS outside of course these have now completed production but there might be more news down the line we shall get to that today I'm very excited to see what you think of this one welcome in we're here at the showroom there are some lovely cars to take a look at including not one but two stunning 488 pesters now like where I regularly go to do the specs for my cars hro and Ferrari in London we're going to be heading in to the atellier into the place where dreams come true lots of different color options different specification options Wheels leevers seat belts trim samples different options that you can go through different things that you can configure when building your dream Ferrari a process I love each and every time today for something really cool it is of course for a car that I actually revealed or announced last year and many of you have been asking me recently what's it going to look like and that is for the Ferrari Roma spider now this particular example here at Ferrari of Austin is in the stunning Roso IMA paintwork over the Nero interior now this is amazing mine is quite different and those of you who are familiar with the cars I've owned before the Ferraris I've owned before might be able to take a bit of a guess particularly because in recent months I've dropped a couple of teasers about which color it's going to be hi guys I'm shme hello and welcome back to the channel welcome to Ferrari of Austin and welcome to running through the spec that I've gone for on the Ferrari Roma spider first up let's have a walkthrough of the showroom there is nothing better for inspiration when you're looking at doing a new car spec than looking at other cars because you just see things different ideas with specs trims details and I want to talk about these as well the f8 spider along with its sibling the f8 tributo named as a tribute to the V8 engine these cars have become seriously desirable there weren't all that many of them that were actually made taking the 488 platform the GTB and spider updating them and giving it the engine effectively from the 488 Pista and they've become very collectible as a result because soon thereafter Along Came the 296 this is again in Roso IMA a color I think really suits the shape and as you know from my 296 GTS it's actually kind of become my daily driver recently it is the most fabulous thing to just drive and enjoy I have a lot of fun getting out there with it this Roma is in Roso Pino but what I want to draw your attention to here is the interior which has a stunning duel tone the light color contrasted with the red accent against the Nero Lots going on but that's one of the things with Ferraris the configurations and what you can do with them is amazing we've then got a 488 Pista right here in Roso Corsa the original launch specification for the car plus one here in our gento nurburging now the lighter Silvers actually really work when you start to add some other details whether it's painted liveries different colored calipers this is giio FOH on this 488 GTB but you know when it comes to these things I love talking specifications there are so many different color samples I just nerd out on this type of stuff being able to look at one point at it think about what car it could suit so over on this side the pre-owned side we've got a couple of other f8s here we've got two 296 gts's including a very bold out there color combination and opposite we've got a couple of Pinos couple of Ras and a Roma spider in fact as well but today is going to be about going into the atellier going through these different samples picking out the different options in fact blue electrico the color of my sf90 obviously we've got blue lont on the Puro sangu we've got Roso dinino on the 296 GTS and there are a few more that we're working on should we head in go have a look I've been distracted for a second over there is the workshop with the classic a department here at Ferrari of Austin but I want to talk about this for a moment the 812 GTS which as you know I'm a big fan of and has now been updated to the new dichi chind a car we will be talking much more about in the future effectively bringing this engine into to a new model inspired by the old 365 gtb4 but this particular GTS is in ver British over the gold wheels green and gold just works the interior I think is in chocolato the dark brown leather that this particular car has and it looks immense no denying that that is a stunning stunning stunning looking thing and a color scheme that green and gold that I also quite look to work on perhaps in the future anyway we're here let's head back in then and go get on with this I think we need to start with the car itself the Roma spider so that we can touch on what all of this is about what might work on it and also in a second explain a little bit more about why why a Roma spider and therefore how that dictates what I'm going to be going for in terms of the options now I drove one of these for the first time quite recently only a couple of months ago I went out to a location near to Rome in Italy to get behind the wheel for the first time to see what it was all about and I have to say that was a pretty fantastic experience it might be the entry Ferrari but it is a Ferrari through and through I mean up front you've got a 4 L twin turbocharged V8 that makes 620 horsepower things like carbon ceramic brakes are standard of course now the Roma has the open roof it takes about 13 and 1/2 seconds to fold away the fabric soft top which actually sits beneath this section and you can choose the different materials that you have here so the obvious is the paint color on a car the wheel options then you have calipers you have other details the exterior carbon fiber the exhaust tips and then of course the interior now this is a very different one we've got the full Nero leather but with the Gio detailing that wraps around these dual canopies and this is something I always really appreciated about the Roma's design how you have these very distinct zones you can have the passenger display over on the passenger's dashboard side of course in this case we've got the carbon fiber driver Zone on the steering wheel which is something I always talk about as an absolute must like the other models we've got the 8-speed DCT with this traditional hpad looking selector for your different driving modes different settings I remember when the car was originally introduced I did actually go out to Rome for launch event of it when it was originally presented what four or five years ago and it was this that was a big talking point The Grill at the front whether you could perhaps do that in black and have a contrast but it's interesting how over time this has evolved and people have become more accustomed to the start of design and I'm fascinated to see what happens with doich chinder cuz that's been the big talking point of the black stripe that runs between the lights but I suspect the designers know a little bit more than we do and we're going to normalize to it now down here you can have that contrast lip as well of course you can also have the sensors the Adas Systems Technology installed inserted right there at the front as well I don't want to go too much into the car itself because we have taken a full look around it but you have things like this rear deflector this whole back panel pops up to act as a wind deflector as I mentioned you can change the color that you choose for the roof and soft top mechanism and plenty of other details when it comes down to the stitching to the cavalino rampante the Prancing horse that you have in the headrest you can choose to have that embroidered in a contrast color for example there's a lot you can do with this a lot of different things but I have made up my mind and I think you're going to like what I've actually gone for with it so we shall start going through that now before we get to the color and figure out if you guys have guessed it correctly I want to talk a bit about why Roma spider why am I buying a Ferrari Roma spider and there are a couple of different things number one when I first drove a Roma the first time a couple of years ago the coupe I was blown away by that car it was seriously impressive number two it's great to have a car in the garage that I can lend to say my dad or to friends when they come to visit to have a car that while still very special I'm going to be slightly less worried about if I can say that about a Ferrari number three for daily driving whether it's myself or my girlfriend for just using for just enjoying and of course number four to be part of the Ferrari collection so back at the time with the original Roma I wasn't in a position like I am very fortunate to be now with a number of different Ferrari cars to be growing this collection and of course it's it's kind of part of that when you're familiar with a you love working with a brand specking a Ferrari is such a cool opportunity so to add the car to the collection it's something different to the others that I have a different type of engine different type of configuration a different type of Driving Experience and obviously along with that comes the support to the portfolio I want to say the same as if it was a Rolex watch or an MS handbag or something like that anyway moving to Colors there's been a pretty consistent theme with colors on the Ferraris I've owned to date all but one of them has been blue and I've owned well I had a gtc4 lusso in blue tdf I had a lusso as well in blue potsy the pur sangu blue uh Lamar of course my first FF was blue Lamar my sf90 is blue electrico which we've seen outside but I've gone with a color that I have actually spoken about quite a few times in the past a color that was launched at an event I remember going to what 6 seven8 years ago and a few times recently I've seen at different events and I have actually drawn extra attention to it is not aurodo which we have up there it's in fact one on the reverse of this door right here this is blue corser let me pull this sample off to come and show you blue corser was actually the color that I drove a Roma in a few years ago Roma Coupe second time I had driven one it's a color I saw very recently I think on a GTC for lusso that I pointed out at an event because it's a color that I think is really close to the Shi 150 theme but I never actually had it on a Ferrari that I've owned so I wanted to go with blue corser I've looked at Blue corser Cars on many occasions for example when I was out in Kuwait at adult's garage his Monza SP2 was in you guessed it blue corser hence why I spent so long looking at that color and that is what I chose for the Roma spider so the question now is what are we going to do to complement with this when it comes to things like the calipers things like the leathers and different interior samples and that's why we're going to run through on the configurator now so I can grab the different things show you in more detail because it kind of sounds quite simple but there are many different options with stitching and things that work with different things and how you have to think of them and how it's all going to come together and that's what I want to piece together bit by bit for you as we go through it now fast forward and we have built my car on the configurator to show you now there are a ton of different options but rather than being laborious over the process let's get straight to it on the screen this is the future shim mobile my blue corser Ferrari Roma spider now when you're doing this with your contact at Ferrari you have an extensive list of options that you can go through you have lots of different views on the configurator some of which I can pop up there are even different settings so this car is actually in one of the atellier in Marinello the exact same room where I spec my dream daytoner sp3 you never know one day but literally in this room which you'll see more of when we flip it around so let me talk you through what we've gone for here firstly paint color as I mentioned blue corser blue corser the color that I really wanted to do with this which you can complement with different colors for the soft top now this is quite interesting cuz you have different colors you also have different stitching so you've got the red you've got the blue you've got the light gray the dark gray and the nearly black at the bottom of course to go with the blue we're going tone on tone with a blue roof now you can have different stitching colors but I've decided to keep it simple in that respect so we're going to have the blue fabric soft top against the very vibrant blue paint work I felt like a stitch might be a little bit too complicated on the exterior of this particular car so in addition to those as you can see we've got the liquid silver forged wheels this is a wheel option with the yellow center caps we've also got the yellow scooter rear Shields you could do the painted Shields you could even have Aroma with no Shields remember that's how it was actually originally presented but for me a Ferrari is a Ferrari it needs that iconic yellow badge on the side the calipers against the silver Wheels I've actually gone with the alumino this silver aluminium or aluminum given where out here in the United States cuz I felt like that would be really quite an elegant classy look for a car of this type of nature now on here I can actually come to the uh software here and just swing it around towards a rear view quickly so you can see that I've also gone for the different tail pipes there so you have a few different options for the tail pipes and I've gone again with the aluminium look the sports tail pipes on the back of the car that's the outside of it which maybe actually check this out from here if you look on the screen I can actually swing this around and show you the room that we were in so over there is where I configured the sp3 sitting at that table which is kind of cool with all the different options so talking different options if we return this back to the front of the car in fact check this out look what I can do from here I can even fold the roof down so you can see what that looks like which is quite fun but we haven't yet dived into the interior which you catch a quick glimpse of right there so for the inside of this car we're going with the theme yes I I like blue Ferraris okay it's my my hook my addiction so we've got the blue paint the Blue Roof we are also doing a blue interior but a different blue interior for me on this particular car unlike the blue Sterling that I had with the contrast of the Savia and the sf90 and with the coyo in the per sangu we are going to do this color which is called Kart da zukaro which means literally sugar paper this leather that you can see which is a slightly off gray blue it's it's a funny color that's quite hard to describe so we're going to have that complemented as well or contrasting I should say from the traditional Nero leather I'm just going to grab this as well because having these samples gives you the best demonstration of what this looks like so we've got Nero and the Cara da zukaro and I want to show you what that looks like Insight so on the configurator if I just press the views button here we can jump straight to the inside of it and see what this car looks like pull that up and you can see what I have gone for so we've got this split there's a lot more going on to explain as well you can obviously see the headrest and the details as you point round towards the front so effectively I've gone for this two-tone split of Nero over the upper section so the upper dashboard the door rolls and up towards the rear section and then karta da zukaro for the seats the lower dash the steering wheel hand grips and the passenger side but in addition to those there are more details if I come all the way over here because there's there's just tons and tons of stuff like you all the carbon s samples and everything we also have the seat belts actually I'm going to bring this I'm going to bring the stitching samples as well to come and show you this because for the seat belts I have gone for look at this the blue again blue Sterling kind of matching with the theme and for the stitching to show you here it's actually this one which is giio kiaro so giio kiaro 326 is this light Almost White Stitch that we have on the car for the Cav rampante the pring horse on the headress of the front seats and the rear seats those are both options but also I've done this dream line that wraps around so you remember on that yellow car we saw or rather the red car with the yellow details that we saw outside it's exactly like that to give it this lightness to give it this extra feeling inside something I always really like yes you could argue that you might see a small reflection off the wind screen perhaps but I live in the United Kingdom we don't have a whole lot of sunshine so I don't foresee that being a problem there are other options as well for example the carbon fiber driver Zone on the steering wheel this is something I always really like having the carbon at the bottom and the carbon up at the top let me show you the view of that in fact to see exactly what the driver's eyeline is like in this car again we've got the hand grips and the contrast stitch on the steering wheel we've got the carbon fiber with the shift lights looking amazing especially when they get to about here in the rev counter absolutely epic display just feels like a proper super car so I've not gone for all of the carbon fiber on the out side obviously it's quite expensive as an option and I've got to be realistic about all of these cars do I spec extra options on the romor or go crazy on the sf90 XX which is going to follow in due course and I went for that in this case but back to the view up here you can spin it around you can look towards the sides you can take a look around the atellier literally where we are in here it's all very very very fun what you can do with this and even like I said let's try a different landscape let's put this car out at Fe we're back inside it still so we can go outside it a famous spot in fact the exact same spot where I actually first revealed my sf90 St Al which was the first time I had speced a new Ferrari from literally brand new to my own specification and choices let's open the roof oh you can actually open the doors and everything have a proper look around it's amazing to be able to play with this and see all the details of the car let's go into the free roam mode there we go look around it look at how nice that is I love that giio kiaro stripe detail that you have wrapping around the cabin wrapping around there that's not all though because in addition to those you have the tech options so I've gone for the Adas system the full Advanced Camera system in fact full surround view as well which obviously gives you your cameras on the mirrors being able to see around I have that on some of the other cars just makes life much easier I've gone for the Magna ride suspension system which again is something really nice to have to upgrade the Driving Experience to upgrade that side of it you have the connectivity for your phone so now the car can communicate with you exactly it state of charge any other details about it um we have inside the aluminium footrest so you can see literally right there and also for the passenger side that's an option as well that I've added for this we've got oh goodness me I'm sure there's some more things on here that I've added it's quite a long extensive list when you start going through it all we've got the colored safety belts we've got the equipment list we've got the driving options the Adaptive headlights that's something as well and we've got the passenger display of course we need to have that for the passenger side and we've also got the upgraded Hi-Fi system as well which is something very nice to have so if we go back to the interior let's take a look at these for the passenger you get that display over there which is nicely housed I really appreciate how well it's kind of embedded into the dashboard side um I've gone for leather throughout so you could have Alcantara as opposed to just just leather but for me it feels more suited this way and we've got the blue carpets so the blue carpets I don't know if we've got a sample around us somewhere in fact we do right here maybe these are the carpets these are the carpets so we've got the blue carpet that one which is obviously a dark um blue scuro carpet um nearly black but just to give a touch of that blue theme again coming through with all of the other colors that we have on the inside of this and obviously one of the fun things is that when you've completed your specification and the car arrives you have this complete check list on the back this specifications plaque that tells you exactly what you went for with every single option on it so of course you can do different painted liveries different Stripes different extra elements extra carbon fiber even more to it but I've got some big plans for other future cars and I felt like the RoR I wanted to be this kind of mix of a little bit sporty with a bright paint color like what we've chosen with blue Corsa but not completely in your face obnoxious it's this more daily darker color for the interior you know a color or a convertible always looks amazing if you have literally if you go really bright with Savia or with krer even the iconic Ferrari interior leather but then they get very dirty if you drive it with the roof down trust me the inside with a light color just constantly has dust and grime from the air especially if you drive you know down through Monaco and the south of France or something you can't keep it clean I've been there I've done that I've spent a lot of time having leather cleaned up afterwards maybe something slightly darker but this is where I'm thinking about the portfolio and the cars that I have in the garage right the 296 is rosadino over the top of the dual tone gray Pur sangu is blue Lamar over the top of the blue Sterling and the coyo and then we have the sf90 currently with blue Sterling and Savia and we'll also have other things in different colors so while it might feel like we've got a lot of blue right now if you know the full future plans and everything else that's coming and what I'm intending you're going to see quite a mix in the collection so I hope you like this as much as I do I can also from here actually ping up um different views we can even take it to the seaside in fact we can go and see what it looks like just wait for this to load out beside the SE get completely different perspectives of the car or really cool I can actually um just take a better look around it and go into the demo mode and we can see what the car looks like animated get a feel for walking around it a feel for taking in the car I love this wheel design I've always been a big fan of five twin spokes I think this really nice and the silver behind the silver just look at it it's like a classy car of course we're here in the United States my car will be right-and Drive it'll be a European spec car so it'll be different reflectors and that kind of thing I've gone with the silver tail pipes to match those silver Wheels the silver badges you could do them black but I've kept them silver the blue Grill I actually quite like this gives you such a feeling of that's the car that like I said has reached status 20 which means it's I'm going to guess about 6 weeks away takes a little longer if it's a car coming to the United States you've got the position for the key right in the center we've got these blue seats they do have the Alcantara inserts but basically blue leather kind of throughout this blue and black leather mix I love these new steering wheels I know there's a lot of buttons and people sometimes find a little bit harder to get used to but for me it's spot- on so we've got adaptive cruise control we've got all of the comfortable suspension settings you press the literally that the Mantino to go into bumpy road mode to soften up the ride we've got the curved digital display for the dashboard it's super fun so I was toying with different colors they're in different price points working out exactly what to choose what to go for and then I was like but blue corser blue corser is going to be perfect for it it's such a cool lovely blue a strong bright vibrant color and I think it's going to look really nice once you factor in all of this mix of colors together it's going to be a very very smart looking car obviously with the Blue Roof that we've got here as well matching with the interior and you'll have that same blue for the softt top deck lid on the back of the car oh look at that look at that I am very sure we'll get it down to the seaside at some point in the future it will be in a view really quite similar to that wonder where exactly that is maybe that's one to find out anyway that's the run through that's the specification of the future shamim mobile Roma spider coming back to the car here let me just run over a couple of things that make a little bit more sense now so firstly the forged wheels the five twin spoke wheels these have the dual tone whereas mine will be the full liquid silver I'm a big fan of silver Wheels it has to be that way and it'll be cool over the silver calipers behind and I'll have the Michelin tires like this does as well the interior the big thing is of course as you see here with the yellow detailing that wraps around the occupants mine will have the Nero leather for the upper surfaces no Reflections off the wind screen from that and then it will have the giio kiaro the light gray bands before you have the Kata da zukaro for the lower sections and for the front seats with Nero wrapping around towards the back so effectively everything above that line is Nero including the back and then everything inside it will be Carter do zukaro you can see in here when you don't have the aluminium foot rest for the driver and for the passenger you just have the standard one in its place one thing I didn't mention is that like these seats I will have the perforations for the ventilated electric seats so the full electric control I think that's pretty much a must but I really like adding the embroideries for the praning horses the fact you can see them from outside the car they always look super smart and then as I mentioned this will be in the blue on mine to go with the blue of the exterior kind of encompassing the cockpit for the driver's cabin no carbon fiber on the exterior but I do have some ideas and something fun that we've shown before on the channel which we might tease with regards to that as to how that's going to look and then around at the front we'll have the blue detailing down here for the front lip and the blue Grill like this but with those silver badges to match this particular example it's a very cool looking thing it really harks back to the cars of the 60s the elegant lines the swooping curves such simple body workor as opposed to being overly cluttered with all sorts of aerodynamic fins and veins and things that's the whole idea of the car to be a bit of a tour a bit of a GT a bit of a cruiser sitting in and amongst the other Ferraris in the collection and I've always loved this design the way the line wraps right around the back this is your active rear Wing there's no button to put it up to have it in a show mode it literally just lifts depending on your driving mode and speed to obviously help keep the car a little bit more planted down towards the back which considering you have 620 horsepower that 610 brick horsepower is obviously kind of beneficial given it will go to about 200 mph but that roof opened up driving through let's say the French Riviera sounds like a good time to me and I've had a lot of fun specking up one of these and I can't wait until it's actually here until it's going to be time to to head to collect it and to go and drive it for the first time I guess before that it will need to go to Topaz detailing to get some full paint protection film but we will resolve the bookings for all of that as on when the time comes and we have a better idea of when it is going to be here and be ready to collect look what I've just noticed here as well that's actually signed by charot cler how cool is that given that the Formula 1 takes place here in Austin at Circuit of the Americas for the United States Grand Prix sha has clearly been passed and signed the reception desk what a cool touch well I tell you what it is hot out here it's Texas it's the afternoon it's getting towards Summer but I've been really excited to share the spec of this car with you the next Ferrari to join the shme mobiles I can't believe this little collection of cars from Marinello that I'm assembling we've got the Puro with its four-wheel drive four seats four doors the sf90 with its hybrid V8 two-o coupe the 296 GTS the hybrid V6 twodo convertible and now the Roma spider as well another V8 but but this time without the hybrid just the combustion engine convertible engine up front like the V12 and the Puro four different cars four different uses four different types of experiences but all part of a collection a collection of cars a collection of in my mind beautifully specked cars I can't wait to see them all together and then of course the sf90 XX is going to arrive and I suspect that won't be all I suspect there'll be some movers and shakers down the line some will come some will go some things will stay permanently but it's part of the fun there's nothing like Ferrari when you think of supercars you think of the Ferrari and you think of red cars from Marinello yes I've never had a Rosso Corsa one but that will probably happen at some point too anyway I want to say a huge thanks today to the team here at Ferrari of Austin for hosting the visit for showing us around some cool things there's lots of exciting stuff in the works lots to come as well and a really friendly nice environment to just come by and go through some of these options to be able to share with you what the Roma spider is going to be looking like that's it for today though thank you very much for your support guys I really appreciate it I hope you like the spec that I've gone for just try to remember it's part of the whole picture I know it's not the craziest out there but if you aren't crazy stay tuned for the next one that's all I'm going to say at this stage stay tuned for the next one you'll see what I mean that's it for now though thanks for watching and I'll see you next time cheerstoday I'm here in Texas visiting Ferrari of Austin to finally reveal the spec of my next Ferrari we're here at the dealership who have very kindly invited me to come on by we're going to check out the showroom take a look around and head into the configuration Suite to go through and share with you exactly what I've chosen for a car that has now reached what Ferrari call status 20 that means it's nearly completed production and it won't be too long until it touches down and arrives at the Museum now there's a stunning 812 GTS outside of course these have now completed production but there might be more news down the line we shall get to that today I'm very excited to see what you think of this one welcome in we're here at the showroom there are some lovely cars to take a look at including not one but two stunning 488 pesters now like where I regularly go to do the specs for my cars hro and Ferrari in London we're going to be heading in to the atellier into the place where dreams come true lots of different color options different specification options Wheels leevers seat belts trim samples different options that you can go through different things that you can configure when building your dream Ferrari a process I love each and every time today for something really cool it is of course for a car that I actually revealed or announced last year and many of you have been asking me recently what's it going to look like and that is for the Ferrari Roma spider now this particular example here at Ferrari of Austin is in the stunning Roso IMA paintwork over the Nero interior now this is amazing mine is quite different and those of you who are familiar with the cars I've owned before the Ferraris I've owned before might be able to take a bit of a guess particularly because in recent months I've dropped a couple of teasers about which color it's going to be hi guys I'm shme hello and welcome back to the channel welcome to Ferrari of Austin and welcome to running through the spec that I've gone for on the Ferrari Roma spider first up let's have a walkthrough of the showroom there is nothing better for inspiration when you're looking at doing a new car spec than looking at other cars because you just see things different ideas with specs trims details and I want to talk about these as well the f8 spider along with its sibling the f8 tributo named as a tribute to the V8 engine these cars have become seriously desirable there weren't all that many of them that were actually made taking the 488 platform the GTB and spider updating them and giving it the engine effectively from the 488 Pista and they've become very collectible as a result because soon thereafter Along Came the 296 this is again in Roso IMA a color I think really suits the shape and as you know from my 296 GTS it's actually kind of become my daily driver recently it is the most fabulous thing to just drive and enjoy I have a lot of fun getting out there with it this Roma is in Roso Pino but what I want to draw your attention to here is the interior which has a stunning duel tone the light color contrasted with the red accent against the Nero Lots going on but that's one of the things with Ferraris the configurations and what you can do with them is amazing we've then got a 488 Pista right here in Roso Corsa the original launch specification for the car plus one here in our gento nurburging now the lighter Silvers actually really work when you start to add some other details whether it's painted liveries different colored calipers this is giio FOH on this 488 GTB but you know when it comes to these things I love talking specifications there are so many different color samples I just nerd out on this type of stuff being able to look at one point at it think about what car it could suit so over on this side the pre-owned side we've got a couple of other f8s here we've got two 296 gts's including a very bold out there color combination and opposite we've got a couple of Pinos couple of Ras and a Roma spider in fact as well but today is going to be about going into the atellier going through these different samples picking out the different options in fact blue electrico the color of my sf90 obviously we've got blue lont on the Puro sangu we've got Roso dinino on the 296 GTS and there are a few more that we're working on should we head in go have a look I've been distracted for a second over there is the workshop with the classic a department here at Ferrari of Austin but I want to talk about this for a moment the 812 GTS which as you know I'm a big fan of and has now been updated to the new dichi chind a car we will be talking much more about in the future effectively bringing this engine into to a new model inspired by the old 365 gtb4 but this particular GTS is in ver British over the gold wheels green and gold just works the interior I think is in chocolato the dark brown leather that this particular car has and it looks immense no denying that that is a stunning stunning stunning looking thing and a color scheme that green and gold that I also quite look to work on perhaps in the future anyway we're here let's head back in then and go get on with this I think we need to start with the car itself the Roma spider so that we can touch on what all of this is about what might work on it and also in a second explain a little bit more about why why a Roma spider and therefore how that dictates what I'm going to be going for in terms of the options now I drove one of these for the first time quite recently only a couple of months ago I went out to a location near to Rome in Italy to get behind the wheel for the first time to see what it was all about and I have to say that was a pretty fantastic experience it might be the entry Ferrari but it is a Ferrari through and through I mean up front you've got a 4 L twin turbocharged V8 that makes 620 horsepower things like carbon ceramic brakes are standard of course now the Roma has the open roof it takes about 13 and 1/2 seconds to fold away the fabric soft top which actually sits beneath this section and you can choose the different materials that you have here so the obvious is the paint color on a car the wheel options then you have calipers you have other details the exterior carbon fiber the exhaust tips and then of course the interior now this is a very different one we've got the full Nero leather but with the Gio detailing that wraps around these dual canopies and this is something I always really appreciated about the Roma's design how you have these very distinct zones you can have the passenger display over on the passenger's dashboard side of course in this case we've got the carbon fiber driver Zone on the steering wheel which is something I always talk about as an absolute must like the other models we've got the 8-speed DCT with this traditional hpad looking selector for your different driving modes different settings I remember when the car was originally introduced I did actually go out to Rome for launch event of it when it was originally presented what four or five years ago and it was this that was a big talking point The Grill at the front whether you could perhaps do that in black and have a contrast but it's interesting how over time this has evolved and people have become more accustomed to the start of design and I'm fascinated to see what happens with doich chinder cuz that's been the big talking point of the black stripe that runs between the lights but I suspect the designers know a little bit more than we do and we're going to normalize to it now down here you can have that contrast lip as well of course you can also have the sensors the Adas Systems Technology installed inserted right there at the front as well I don't want to go too much into the car itself because we have taken a full look around it but you have things like this rear deflector this whole back panel pops up to act as a wind deflector as I mentioned you can change the color that you choose for the roof and soft top mechanism and plenty of other details when it comes down to the stitching to the cavalino rampante the Prancing horse that you have in the headrest you can choose to have that embroidered in a contrast color for example there's a lot you can do with this a lot of different things but I have made up my mind and I think you're going to like what I've actually gone for with it so we shall start going through that now before we get to the color and figure out if you guys have guessed it correctly I want to talk a bit about why Roma spider why am I buying a Ferrari Roma spider and there are a couple of different things number one when I first drove a Roma the first time a couple of years ago the coupe I was blown away by that car it was seriously impressive number two it's great to have a car in the garage that I can lend to say my dad or to friends when they come to visit to have a car that while still very special I'm going to be slightly less worried about if I can say that about a Ferrari number three for daily driving whether it's myself or my girlfriend for just using for just enjoying and of course number four to be part of the Ferrari collection so back at the time with the original Roma I wasn't in a position like I am very fortunate to be now with a number of different Ferrari cars to be growing this collection and of course it's it's kind of part of that when you're familiar with a you love working with a brand specking a Ferrari is such a cool opportunity so to add the car to the collection it's something different to the others that I have a different type of engine different type of configuration a different type of Driving Experience and obviously along with that comes the support to the portfolio I want to say the same as if it was a Rolex watch or an MS handbag or something like that anyway moving to Colors there's been a pretty consistent theme with colors on the Ferraris I've owned to date all but one of them has been blue and I've owned well I had a gtc4 lusso in blue tdf I had a lusso as well in blue potsy the pur sangu blue uh Lamar of course my first FF was blue Lamar my sf90 is blue electrico which we've seen outside but I've gone with a color that I have actually spoken about quite a few times in the past a color that was launched at an event I remember going to what 6 seven8 years ago and a few times recently I've seen at different events and I have actually drawn extra attention to it is not aurodo which we have up there it's in fact one on the reverse of this door right here this is blue corser let me pull this sample off to come and show you blue corser was actually the color that I drove a Roma in a few years ago Roma Coupe second time I had driven one it's a color I saw very recently I think on a GTC for lusso that I pointed out at an event because it's a color that I think is really close to the Shi 150 theme but I never actually had it on a Ferrari that I've owned so I wanted to go with blue corser I've looked at Blue corser Cars on many occasions for example when I was out in Kuwait at adult's garage his Monza SP2 was in you guessed it blue corser hence why I spent so long looking at that color and that is what I chose for the Roma spider so the question now is what are we going to do to complement with this when it comes to things like the calipers things like the leathers and different interior samples and that's why we're going to run through on the configurator now so I can grab the different things show you in more detail because it kind of sounds quite simple but there are many different options with stitching and things that work with different things and how you have to think of them and how it's all going to come together and that's what I want to piece together bit by bit for you as we go through it now fast forward and we have built my car on the configurator to show you now there are a ton of different options but rather than being laborious over the process let's get straight to it on the screen this is the future shim mobile my blue corser Ferrari Roma spider now when you're doing this with your contact at Ferrari you have an extensive list of options that you can go through you have lots of different views on the configurator some of which I can pop up there are even different settings so this car is actually in one of the atellier in Marinello the exact same room where I spec my dream daytoner sp3 you never know one day but literally in this room which you'll see more of when we flip it around so let me talk you through what we've gone for here firstly paint color as I mentioned blue corser blue corser the color that I really wanted to do with this which you can complement with different colors for the soft top now this is quite interesting cuz you have different colors you also have different stitching so you've got the red you've got the blue you've got the light gray the dark gray and the nearly black at the bottom of course to go with the blue we're going tone on tone with a blue roof now you can have different stitching colors but I've decided to keep it simple in that respect so we're going to have the blue fabric soft top against the very vibrant blue paint work I felt like a stitch might be a little bit too complicated on the exterior of this particular car so in addition to those as you can see we've got the liquid silver forged wheels this is a wheel option with the yellow center caps we've also got the yellow scooter rear Shields you could do the painted Shields you could even have Aroma with no Shields remember that's how it was actually originally presented but for me a Ferrari is a Ferrari it needs that iconic yellow badge on the side the calipers against the silver Wheels I've actually gone with the alumino this silver aluminium or aluminum given where out here in the United States cuz I felt like that would be really quite an elegant classy look for a car of this type of nature now on here I can actually come to the uh software here and just swing it around towards a rear view quickly so you can see that I've also gone for the different tail pipes there so you have a few different options for the tail pipes and I've gone again with the aluminium look the sports tail pipes on the back of the car that's the outside of it which maybe actually check this out from here if you look on the screen I can actually swing this around and show you the room that we were in so over there is where I configured the sp3 sitting at that table which is kind of cool with all the different options so talking different options if we return this back to the front of the car in fact check this out look what I can do from here I can even fold the roof down so you can see what that looks like which is quite fun but we haven't yet dived into the interior which you catch a quick glimpse of right there so for the inside of this car we're going with the theme yes I I like blue Ferraris okay it's my my hook my addiction so we've got the blue paint the Blue Roof we are also doing a blue interior but a different blue interior for me on this particular car unlike the blue Sterling that I had with the contrast of the Savia and the sf90 and with the coyo in the per sangu we are going to do this color which is called Kart da zukaro which means literally sugar paper this leather that you can see which is a slightly off gray blue it's it's a funny color that's quite hard to describe so we're going to have that complemented as well or contrasting I should say from the traditional Nero leather I'm just going to grab this as well because having these samples gives you the best demonstration of what this looks like so we've got Nero and the Cara da zukaro and I want to show you what that looks like Insight so on the configurator if I just press the views button here we can jump straight to the inside of it and see what this car looks like pull that up and you can see what I have gone for so we've got this split there's a lot more going on to explain as well you can obviously see the headrest and the details as you point round towards the front so effectively I've gone for this two-tone split of Nero over the upper section so the upper dashboard the door rolls and up towards the rear section and then karta da zukaro for the seats the lower dash the steering wheel hand grips and the passenger side but in addition to those there are more details if I come all the way over here because there's there's just tons and tons of stuff like you all the carbon s samples and everything we also have the seat belts actually I'm going to bring this I'm going to bring the stitching samples as well to come and show you this because for the seat belts I have gone for look at this the blue again blue Sterling kind of matching with the theme and for the stitching to show you here it's actually this one which is giio kiaro so giio kiaro 326 is this light Almost White Stitch that we have on the car for the Cav rampante the pring horse on the headress of the front seats and the rear seats those are both options but also I've done this dream line that wraps around so you remember on that yellow car we saw or rather the red car with the yellow details that we saw outside it's exactly like that to give it this lightness to give it this extra feeling inside something I always really like yes you could argue that you might see a small reflection off the wind screen perhaps but I live in the United Kingdom we don't have a whole lot of sunshine so I don't foresee that being a problem there are other options as well for example the carbon fiber driver Zone on the steering wheel this is something I always really like having the carbon at the bottom and the carbon up at the top let me show you the view of that in fact to see exactly what the driver's eyeline is like in this car again we've got the hand grips and the contrast stitch on the steering wheel we've got the carbon fiber with the shift lights looking amazing especially when they get to about here in the rev counter absolutely epic display just feels like a proper super car so I've not gone for all of the carbon fiber on the out side obviously it's quite expensive as an option and I've got to be realistic about all of these cars do I spec extra options on the romor or go crazy on the sf90 XX which is going to follow in due course and I went for that in this case but back to the view up here you can spin it around you can look towards the sides you can take a look around the atellier literally where we are in here it's all very very very fun what you can do with this and even like I said let's try a different landscape let's put this car out at Fe we're back inside it still so we can go outside it a famous spot in fact the exact same spot where I actually first revealed my sf90 St Al which was the first time I had speced a new Ferrari from literally brand new to my own specification and choices let's open the roof oh you can actually open the doors and everything have a proper look around it's amazing to be able to play with this and see all the details of the car let's go into the free roam mode there we go look around it look at how nice that is I love that giio kiaro stripe detail that you have wrapping around the cabin wrapping around there that's not all though because in addition to those you have the tech options so I've gone for the Adas system the full Advanced Camera system in fact full surround view as well which obviously gives you your cameras on the mirrors being able to see around I have that on some of the other cars just makes life much easier I've gone for the Magna ride suspension system which again is something really nice to have to upgrade the Driving Experience to upgrade that side of it you have the connectivity for your phone so now the car can communicate with you exactly it state of charge any other details about it um we have inside the aluminium footrest so you can see literally right there and also for the passenger side that's an option as well that I've added for this we've got oh goodness me I'm sure there's some more things on here that I've added it's quite a long extensive list when you start going through it all we've got the colored safety belts we've got the equipment list we've got the driving options the Adaptive headlights that's something as well and we've got the passenger display of course we need to have that for the passenger side and we've also got the upgraded Hi-Fi system as well which is something very nice to have so if we go back to the interior let's take a look at these for the passenger you get that display over there which is nicely housed I really appreciate how well it's kind of embedded into the dashboard side um I've gone for leather throughout so you could have Alcantara as opposed to just just leather but for me it feels more suited this way and we've got the blue carpets so the blue carpets I don't know if we've got a sample around us somewhere in fact we do right here maybe these are the carpets these are the carpets so we've got the blue carpet that one which is obviously a dark um blue scuro carpet um nearly black but just to give a touch of that blue theme again coming through with all of the other colors that we have on the inside of this and obviously one of the fun things is that when you've completed your specification and the car arrives you have this complete check list on the back this specifications plaque that tells you exactly what you went for with every single option on it so of course you can do different painted liveries different Stripes different extra elements extra carbon fiber even more to it but I've got some big plans for other future cars and I felt like the RoR I wanted to be this kind of mix of a little bit sporty with a bright paint color like what we've chosen with blue Corsa but not completely in your face obnoxious it's this more daily darker color for the interior you know a color or a convertible always looks amazing if you have literally if you go really bright with Savia or with krer even the iconic Ferrari interior leather but then they get very dirty if you drive it with the roof down trust me the inside with a light color just constantly has dust and grime from the air especially if you drive you know down through Monaco and the south of France or something you can't keep it clean I've been there I've done that I've spent a lot of time having leather cleaned up afterwards maybe something slightly darker but this is where I'm thinking about the portfolio and the cars that I have in the garage right the 296 is rosadino over the top of the dual tone gray Pur sangu is blue Lamar over the top of the blue Sterling and the coyo and then we have the sf90 currently with blue Sterling and Savia and we'll also have other things in different colors so while it might feel like we've got a lot of blue right now if you know the full future plans and everything else that's coming and what I'm intending you're going to see quite a mix in the collection so I hope you like this as much as I do I can also from here actually ping up um different views we can even take it to the seaside in fact we can go and see what it looks like just wait for this to load out beside the SE get completely different perspectives of the car or really cool I can actually um just take a better look around it and go into the demo mode and we can see what the car looks like animated get a feel for walking around it a feel for taking in the car I love this wheel design I've always been a big fan of five twin spokes I think this really nice and the silver behind the silver just look at it it's like a classy car of course we're here in the United States my car will be right-and Drive it'll be a European spec car so it'll be different reflectors and that kind of thing I've gone with the silver tail pipes to match those silver Wheels the silver badges you could do them black but I've kept them silver the blue Grill I actually quite like this gives you such a feeling of that's the car that like I said has reached status 20 which means it's I'm going to guess about 6 weeks away takes a little longer if it's a car coming to the United States you've got the position for the key right in the center we've got these blue seats they do have the Alcantara inserts but basically blue leather kind of throughout this blue and black leather mix I love these new steering wheels I know there's a lot of buttons and people sometimes find a little bit harder to get used to but for me it's spot- on so we've got adaptive cruise control we've got all of the comfortable suspension settings you press the literally that the Mantino to go into bumpy road mode to soften up the ride we've got the curved digital display for the dashboard it's super fun so I was toying with different colors they're in different price points working out exactly what to choose what to go for and then I was like but blue corser blue corser is going to be perfect for it it's such a cool lovely blue a strong bright vibrant color and I think it's going to look really nice once you factor in all of this mix of colors together it's going to be a very very smart looking car obviously with the Blue Roof that we've got here as well matching with the interior and you'll have that same blue for the softt top deck lid on the back of the car oh look at that look at that I am very sure we'll get it down to the seaside at some point in the future it will be in a view really quite similar to that wonder where exactly that is maybe that's one to find out anyway that's the run through that's the specification of the future shamim mobile Roma spider coming back to the car here let me just run over a couple of things that make a little bit more sense now so firstly the forged wheels the five twin spoke wheels these have the dual tone whereas mine will be the full liquid silver I'm a big fan of silver Wheels it has to be that way and it'll be cool over the silver calipers behind and I'll have the Michelin tires like this does as well the interior the big thing is of course as you see here with the yellow detailing that wraps around the occupants mine will have the Nero leather for the upper surfaces no Reflections off the wind screen from that and then it will have the giio kiaro the light gray bands before you have the Kata da zukaro for the lower sections and for the front seats with Nero wrapping around towards the back so effectively everything above that line is Nero including the back and then everything inside it will be Carter do zukaro you can see in here when you don't have the aluminium foot rest for the driver and for the passenger you just have the standard one in its place one thing I didn't mention is that like these seats I will have the perforations for the ventilated electric seats so the full electric control I think that's pretty much a must but I really like adding the embroideries for the praning horses the fact you can see them from outside the car they always look super smart and then as I mentioned this will be in the blue on mine to go with the blue of the exterior kind of encompassing the cockpit for the driver's cabin no carbon fiber on the exterior but I do have some ideas and something fun that we've shown before on the channel which we might tease with regards to that as to how that's going to look and then around at the front we'll have the blue detailing down here for the front lip and the blue Grill like this but with those silver badges to match this particular example it's a very cool looking thing it really harks back to the cars of the 60s the elegant lines the swooping curves such simple body workor as opposed to being overly cluttered with all sorts of aerodynamic fins and veins and things that's the whole idea of the car to be a bit of a tour a bit of a GT a bit of a cruiser sitting in and amongst the other Ferraris in the collection and I've always loved this design the way the line wraps right around the back this is your active rear Wing there's no button to put it up to have it in a show mode it literally just lifts depending on your driving mode and speed to obviously help keep the car a little bit more planted down towards the back which considering you have 620 horsepower that 610 brick horsepower is obviously kind of beneficial given it will go to about 200 mph but that roof opened up driving through let's say the French Riviera sounds like a good time to me and I've had a lot of fun specking up one of these and I can't wait until it's actually here until it's going to be time to to head to collect it and to go and drive it for the first time I guess before that it will need to go to Topaz detailing to get some full paint protection film but we will resolve the bookings for all of that as on when the time comes and we have a better idea of when it is going to be here and be ready to collect look what I've just noticed here as well that's actually signed by charot cler how cool is that given that the Formula 1 takes place here in Austin at Circuit of the Americas for the United States Grand Prix sha has clearly been passed and signed the reception desk what a cool touch well I tell you what it is hot out here it's Texas it's the afternoon it's getting towards Summer but I've been really excited to share the spec of this car with you the next Ferrari to join the shme mobiles I can't believe this little collection of cars from Marinello that I'm assembling we've got the Puro with its four-wheel drive four seats four doors the sf90 with its hybrid V8 two-o coupe the 296 GTS the hybrid V6 twodo convertible and now the Roma spider as well another V8 but but this time without the hybrid just the combustion engine convertible engine up front like the V12 and the Puro four different cars four different uses four different types of experiences but all part of a collection a collection of cars a collection of in my mind beautifully specked cars I can't wait to see them all together and then of course the sf90 XX is going to arrive and I suspect that won't be all I suspect there'll be some movers and shakers down the line some will come some will go some things will stay permanently but it's part of the fun there's nothing like Ferrari when you think of supercars you think of the Ferrari and you think of red cars from Marinello yes I've never had a Rosso Corsa one but that will probably happen at some point too anyway I want to say a huge thanks today to the team here at Ferrari of Austin for hosting the visit for showing us around some cool things there's lots of exciting stuff in the works lots to come as well and a really friendly nice environment to just come by and go through some of these options to be able to share with you what the Roma spider is going to be looking like that's it for today though thank you very much for your support guys I really appreciate it I hope you like the spec that I've gone for just try to remember it's part of the whole picture I know it's not the craziest out there but if you aren't crazy stay tuned for the next one that's all I'm going to say at this stage stay tuned for the next one you'll see what I mean that's it for now though thanks for watching and I'll see you next time cheers\n"
