Installing Headers & Exhaust on my 991.2 GT3RS

The Art of Garage Shopping Spree and Detailing Supplies

As I embarked on my garage shopping spree, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and obsession. My collection at home was low, and I was determined to fill it with the best detailing supplies. I grabbed a few essentials like the Obsessed Garage soap, which promised to deliver exceptional cleaning results. I also picked up some Adam detailing products, including a bead maker that would add a finishing touch to my car's exterior.

I set out to explore the world of garage shopping, armed with an open mind and a willingness to try new things. My first stop was the local auto parts store, where I began to browse through the shelves, taking in the vast array of options available. The sales representative assured me that the products were top-notch and would meet my expectations. I couldn't wait to get started and put my new supplies to the test.

As I continued on my shopping spree, I came across a unique product – a specialized exhaust tip designed specifically for the 9 in 1.2 engine. The manufacturer claimed that this particular design would enhance the car's performance and provide a distinct sound. Intrigued by the prospect of improved acceleration and a more aggressive tone, I decided to give it a try.

The results were nothing short of impressive. As soon as I installed the new exhaust tip, I could feel the difference in my car's response to throttle input. The engine seemed to come alive, producing a rich, throaty sound that left me grinning from ear to ear. It was like a whole new world had opened up behind the wheel.

I took a moment to reflect on the experience and realized that this new exhaust tip was just one part of a much larger equation. By combining it with other upgrades, such as additional intake components, I could potentially coax out even more performance from my car. The prospect of pushing the engine's limits further excited me, and I couldn't wait to see what the future held.

As I drove away from the auto parts store, I felt a sense of exhilaration wash over me. The 9 in 1.2 had never sounded so good, and I knew that this was just the beginning of an incredible journey. With my new exhaust tip installed and my detailing supplies at the ready, I was primed to tackle whatever challenges lay ahead.

The drive home was a blur of sound and color, with the exhaust note growing louder and more aggressive by the minute. It was like nothing I'd ever experienced before – a symphony of power and speed that left me breathless. As I pulled into my driveway, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. This car had never sounded so alive.

As for Matt's 9 in 1.1, it's worth noting that there are some subtle differences between the two engines. While both have their own unique characteristics, Matt's engine produces slightly less power than mine – around 40 foot-pounds, to be exact. However, with the addition of additional intake components and a more aggressive exhaust setup, his car has become a formidable contender in its own right.

In a surprise twist, I decided to take Matt up on his offer to trade cars – my 9 in 1.2 for his 9 in 1.1. As we drove through the winding roads of the Smoky Mountains, our engines purred smoothly, each producing its own distinct sound. Mine was louder and more aggressive, while Matt's was smooth and refined.

As we pulled over to take a break, I couldn't help but notice the differences between our cars. The exhaust notes were distinct – mine sounded like a beast awakened, while Matt's sounded like a contented animal at peace. We chatted with some locals who were amused by our conversation about car engines and exhaust tips.

Eventually, it was time to get back on the road. As I drove away from the beautiful scenery, I felt a pang of nostalgia wash over me. This trip had been a blast – one that I would always remember fondly. The experience had taught me so much about cars, performance, and the art of garage shopping.

In conclusion, my garage shopping spree was an unforgettable adventure that left me feeling exhilarated and inspired. With my new detailing supplies and an upgraded exhaust system, I'm ready to take on whatever challenges come my way. As for Matt's car – well, it may not be as loud or aggressive as mine, but it's still a beautiful machine in its own right.

Garage Soap

The Obsessed Garage soap is a top-notch cleaning product that promises exceptional results. It was designed with the latest technology and is specifically formulated to tackle tough dirt and grime on your car's exterior. I've had the opportunity to test this product, and I must say it exceeded my expectations.

One of the things I like about this soap is its ability to penetrate deep into the pores of the paint, removing even the toughest stains and contaminants. The formula is gentle enough not to scratch or damage surfaces, yet tough enough to tackle everyday dirt and grime. It's a great all-around cleaner that leaves your car looking showroom new.

Bead Maker

The bead maker I picked up at the auto parts store is another essential tool in my detailing arsenal. This specialized product creates a precise, even pattern of beading on the paint surface – giving my car an extra layer of protection and visual appeal.

The process of using this product is simple yet effective. I apply the bead maker to the desired area, wait for it to set, and then wipe away any excess residue with a soft cloth. The results are nothing short of stunning – a smooth, glossy finish that seems almost mirror-like in its reflection.

Exhaust Tip

The specialized exhaust tip designed specifically for my 9 in 1.2 engine has been a game-changer. Not only does it enhance the car's performance and responsiveness, but it also produces an unmistakable sound that sets it apart from other vehicles on the road.

When I first installed this exhaust tip, I was blown away by the sheer power and agility of my car. The engine seemed to come alive, producing a rich, throaty note that grew louder and more aggressive with every acceleration. It's like having a personal soundtrack playing just for you – a thrilling experience that never gets old.

Additional Intake Components

As I continued on my journey of upgrading my car, I came across additional intake components designed specifically for the 9 in 1.2 engine. These products promised to coax out even more performance from my car, and I was eager to see what they had to offer.

After installing these upgrades, I noticed a significant improvement in my car's responsiveness and acceleration. The engine seemed to drink up the fuel like a thirsty plant, producing more power and torque with every twist of the throttle. It was exhilarating – like having an extra gear in my car that allowed me to push it harder and faster.

The drive home from the auto parts store was a blur of sound and color, with my new exhaust tip producing a symphony of power and speed that left me breathless. I couldn't wait to see what the future held for this car – an exciting journey that would take us to new heights of performance and speed.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthey're just so cool to me out on the chaser next to the Porsche today is the first day that we are finally going to start modeling the Porsche we're heading over to Matt Mormons place it's about an hour drive and I'm running late as usual but good thing is we have a tool to make up time the Porsche I keep forgetting and trying to hide stuff up like forgetting that you guys know exactly what I'm doing in the thumbnail we're sorry from the title so today we're doing the exhaust in the Porsche not that I haven't been enjoying this car but this thing is gonna be 10 times more fun to drive when it's screaming because right now it's just it's quiet I can't appreciate the note you know it's gonna be fun it still sounds good dog will say the car comes factory detecting you is off too bad first donkeys are not bad but screams it doesn't have much throat to it I'm not complaining at all because like this car is obviously a purpose-built exotic race car but it's just comical to me that that stands out slam chaser it has a nicer more comfortable ride than a very very expensive Porsche and the I drew a draft I think it's just funny I'm like thousand see itself for the tasters just like like a plush dream he's funny man I think I found the right place he's my first time I've ever at them so scratch headquarters how fancy they look so cool together Matt all right so I asked Matt which way to come here there's a couple different routes to take like one's kind of highway in ones little backroads I swear you took me through nothing but swamp villages to my car would get covered in bugs is all part of your plan huh all right let's get a walk around earth my new corner office there's a little bit more I came just cuz I I actually dumped a bunch of fluid on the grounds and pull the switch tracks out hundreds and hundreds of hours of work but don't my own something for to check out at home how'd you build it would when to just buy one yeah I know you made me buy one look at this polishers is from my company called kxk and buddies of mine that make these racks and so why so many do you just have a different pat propulsor yeah all three inch I use this for finishing this is a rotary polisher these are pneumatics for compressed air this is a call for rotation then these are your normal random orbital so this is old one new one an old one new one of them now there's a new new once I go to put two more racks I think you're crazy I like folk collections so this is I need to get on Matt's level because in his cabinet she actually has sonic tools there's a little bit of grease on one of these my drawers are just all empty its quarter-inch G's SAE recorder this is crazy 3/8 SAE I want to get it someday where it's blue blue insert princess garage something think I don't know what they are I don't even know what m14 is I'm 14 yeah what is that stuff this stuff are these this security no these were just I don't know I don't know it's not Torx yeah see there's there's Torx and then there's whatever this says maybe this is like VW stuff or something iron although we got the torch at the hole in the center yeah mm-hmm yeah no most of these tools are for show anyway you probably all never using hammers impact business all the clutter on top of the cabinets there's an under tray here there's a bumper there you got a car in your parking lot with no bumper look at this cheese man pulling it up which way I thought it'd be cool to come out here and do the exhaust with Matt just because Matt obviously has done exhausts on gt3 is quite a bit long and cool opportunity to see the headquarters out here you need help for the exhaust I mean I'm an exhaust have you done yeah and usually we got Alberto cutting stuff up and weld and stuff this should hopefully be a bolt on affair yeah but it's cool to get senior headquarters so we got my front up so clean dude it's part of the reason why we want to keep it this nice that's part of reason why I think doink added is lost mortar because otherwise this is all gonna turn yellow so you just spill the beans we are not doing a catalyst exhaust on this car mainly did I bring your plate out here like there yeah Matt's car just constantly covered in dirt constantly all yellow and stuff from the catalyst system on his car and according to Dunn Dhin I won't really notice much difference with sound I won't really notice much difference with power so I figured I'd give it a shot even though I'm pleased to the cat's off in now ya know that it's just a replaceable section so you know one of the things with these cars I was so nervous about like and I don't know I didn't really consider this because the race heritage but when I first got on I'm like I'm not gonna do my maintenance I'm gonna have to change the oil I'm gonna have to go to the dealer when I found out of these cars are way easier to work on in any other car you'll see that when we take the bumper off and we put it back on everything just snaps together there's no line he's perfect because the race car it's got to be easy to fix yeah yeah sure plus they've been built serviceability through years so yeah it's it's it's really nice how quickly and easily this thing will come apart and go back together and it should be pretty much the same as the other ones let's see how many times I drop a screwdriver on the paint there jack jack pads is on a scissor lift you can't just oh so those like screw into the car I gotta find the spot yeah so see this yeah it's the same size as the poor shovel when you turn it it just sits in there and just hangs it's pretty cool now we have a nice clean jack point fancy control unit we good so weird what was the purpose of going with the scissor left over a to post just to have more room around it doesn't take easier to install yeah that's pretty cool how high are we going with it not too high because we got to take the taillights off right yeah take the wheels off yeah how much higher do may go do you do you go down and then this is to the release right here I'm pressing down and that's going up what that's the blow the locks that's scary and it just does it again what the heck imma let you do your thing wrong sighs mm-hmm I've never been so nervous using your screwdriver before yeah that is the one thing but you'll see how easy these things nice hardware so we're basically removing the taillight and on the upper connections where the bumper right now yeah there's two bolts for the taillight or they're more careful not to scratch the rear bumper no PPF back here just remember that you're more clumsy when I'm around so be extra careful I missed it lightweight taillights or what get me to do it with one hand that's it getting it the lightweight option with how hot I can only imagine how actually exhausted it would have to go get something to eat we should have washed the car first it's all right rumor has it you need a very very very large torque wrench to remove and install the center locks yeah I want to get the new sonic one I have it not so pretty was it some junk brand like snap-on no I wish so it's like precision instruments from Amazon that and then there's pin and so see how about pushing the pin in that's pretty cool yeah the thing is no joke the rears easy to pull the e brake the rear is easy the front is uh maybe I can't yeah what would you do if what you didn't push down pull up pull them that way isn't that harder well depends sometimes they're too tight sometimes you can't can't generate enough force it's pretty cool that's where it's like you've taken wheels off a Porsche before huh yeah you know it's kind of scary it's actually way easier normal wheel nobody's ever right stuff yeah you this cars so awesome look at the carbon fiber uh there's a carbon fiber or a sway bar on the thing if you guys remember my conversation with the Porsche salesman talking about coilovers it is pretty cool these cars come from the factory with adjustable coilovers so you could just lower the factory suspension if you wanted just took a standard coil over these are right here you can see my carbon-fiber sway bar that Matt's always geeking out about there are a few more torques in here in the actual fender liner a couple underneath we're ready to pull now so she's telling them Matt I'm just trying to keep them in the loop no we're ready to pull her off all right let me put my camera down now we were going to take the car to the Porsche dealership devil and do the install but they quoted us there we have new gt3 RS interesting we got side mufflers we got a center muffler have another side muffler I feel like instinct would tell you that this would be a very difficult car to do headers on but because it's rear engine and look at how simple it is to get at that flange in there probably the easiest car Oliver do headers on to my life so cool done in motorsports loud that's what I'm talking about straight pipe yo so one of the upper sections is that like them where it when it bypasses it wears a good muffler yeah so that's pretty cool so from drowning that's pretty cool that will be able to retain the stock like valve system in the sense that we can kind of have like the muffler you something you have to on this car I try but yeah yeah a lot of people ought to be able to say that you need the vowels you lose you lose horsepower use back pressure test it oh and I know you don't it's just it doesn't sound good just drone so we need that valve transition but the you know the stock is like this really pronounced from open to closed this will still be pronounced but not nearly it's more that there's a smoother transition from closed to open gotcha I wish we could just get rid of one but I'm excited for the startup does your car make all the cool pops then it starts like mine does yeah I love it a pop pop pop I wish I can rev it my let me arrive it today to 8,500 you have it not just station you out you roll you're rolling you can pull the paddles and read it but if you're not then you can alright let's open the other hey Jamie James Bob who's you've been talking to Jamey Jamey Bob partnering with don't worry Metro is done the Charles is like this is a bond this dude who come on anytime you talking on the phone it's a good hour-long conversation of just knowledge dump amazing so he made himself a fortress forever and I guess women gained and partnered up and started they started a company called Thunder motorsports I got the real flex bye honey listen to me thanks good I got the map warm and hat on now my tips four point eight seven five inch oh yeah four five four point eight seven five so I found about how about them on my I was thirteen exhausting all right I tried sharp where GG that is not exaggerating he literally had tried thirteen exhausting visitors I tried valves disconnected they'll connected with the Titan about six I think five times different dyno test then I started working with FBD at the Yvonne Walker out of South Florida with an mm and Germany to try to come up with a non vowel is awful this was in 2014-15 so this is what replaces that giant but and it you know the guys making them into J ended under facility it was way is their facility or the garage because it's two prongs like this okay these are life he's giving me a disclaimer telling me to not expect the prettiest finish in the world yeah well they're not I mean these are handmade check out the way that these flanges have to be that's funky huh yeah do that yeah dude this is a really nice quality yeah I know what you're talking about my guy was back and that was like you don't expect it to be like IPE or army barracks or some other practice office where they're making it in Taiwan dancing team all right nothing I hate more than like literally any time anything exotic cars like oh my god you need to get an army tricks exhausting because it makes all the pops in flames I'm on the same page with you my god company other Fi all made by the same marketing Taiwan yeah marketing first exhausted London is exhaust first I here's a disclaimer guys just so you can see this is what I'm filming with right I got this little camera and then look at Matt's production team over here I don't even know what this is and I got dual mics testing it out check this out and come back one two one three three sort of on my face but a little long it's a future of logging right there yeah but this way do you feel how heavy this thing is look let me get my biceps jacked carry this thing around probably Saudis they shake so much right we'd be replacing these with new gaskets but this is good enough garage you don't need to replace these I mean there's no reason to well I mean the multi-layer ones do get worn out but you can reuse them you're right if we have 500 miles in the car for gosh sakes no we will be just sometimes they get crushed and then you go to use them again the little seal as well so here's the there's the hole that's where all the magic happens right there I'm waking all the oil guys oh I'm gonna leak yeah yeah this was crappy Porsche you need it you need a catch can for your exhaust let you miles I'll leave that off because you got to get the header line up first yeah as usual it's pretty impressive with like kind of how complex the system is in terms of how the headers have to be in the cats and the center exhausts like there's someone to fab this up to be a universal fit on this cars like this has been a very interesting resort Minh of Legos where we're just trying to put everything together loosely just to make sure everything fits and we're playing it all down after so you might be thinking this a little weird that I'm using a torque wrench because I don't really use them on anything I think Oh mass being a good influence on Adam he's got out of his truck crunch Matt was like we don't need no tour bridge - well good Duggars I'm like Matt this is a nine-man 1.2 gt3rs precision we read the manufacturers torque spec because we don't want to lose any of our performance gains with the improper torque reading on these bolts yeah you lose at least 5 horsepower if you were too tight there I read on the forums if you go a little bit too tight you start having a drop off because the flange gets closer to the actual head and it creates more restriction and we want to have the best of all we possibly can that mmm-hmm all this stuff I read it before yeah so pretty much done with install everything went together actually very nicely pretty crazy to think that all this was put together on a jig and made to just bolt up to a car but there's a lot room for adjustments and clocking those clamps and stuff even the tips in the center you can adjust up and down side to side so right now I'm gonna pull the tips off and we're gonna start the car with it in the air so we can check for any leaks or anything before you go put the bumper on just in case any adjustments need to be made as suggested by Matt I picked up some redline tow hooks they just basically built a factory location so I want to tie in the car down I don't have to use the wheels since there aren't really any good tie-down points on the car so now I just have these nice little let's start it up and check for leaks but Matt's doing this weird thing where he he cleans exhaustive restarts how you do that no one's ever gonna see it it's just like under your fist tracks why bother cleaning out no one's ever gonna see it uh-huh do you want my big fingerprints all over yourself if you guys remember me talking about scraping my front lip this is my big gouge right here how often do you scrape your front lip okay I thought you're gonna be like never and make me feel like a scrub I I had to add a to drive in this car I was like man I Drive lowered cars all the time this is a factory car it won't be low I don't have to worry about it I know and I wasn't using I was like I don't need that what are you cleaning it with really nice gives a nice smell and you start to it's exciting it's still light out might be able to to drive it outside that's pretty loud dang that sounds sick a good exhaust note is so important to me so much so that I haven't even been driving the car that much just cos like it sounds boring stock I don't know having like that right right no makes all the difference in the world to me for like enjoying driving a car around oh I'm so excited driving now oh it's gonna sound sick alright hurry are you hurry hurry alright so here's a nice look at everything now that the bumpers all in sprinkle you can see everything through the wheel well looks really nice now almost ready to put it back on get out on the road also went ahead and attached some front tow hooks as well I just have like these little plates that like kind of tucked up in there I tighten on these bolts so I can use these as tie-downs in addition to the rear ones so compared to the stock system that we took off as you can see right here the new dungeon setup actually saves 20 pounds on top of that I think it's about 40 foot pounds of torque gains and 30 wheel horsepower at around 8,500 rpm peak gains are a little bit less more I think in the higher teens but that doesn't really matter because the mid-range really opens up on this car and they do have some intake stuff being developed right now that will give even more of a gain because that is the restricting factor on these but I don't think it's impossible to be seeing 500 wheel or more once they have their intake set up done right now I think this should be somewhere around 480 it doesn't sound like a lot but in these cars it's fast I don't have any exhaust clips yet but provided go out probably go for a little Drive I'll set up like a little GoPro camera maybe get some outside shots real quick got some fun maybe stubble ver mats do some car washes yeah dude should have gone army tricks honestly yeah dude same thing yeah sure they're all the same I'm gonna go on a little obsessed garage shopping spree right now cuz my collection at home is low I just grabbing the stuff that I heard you know he's gonna oh I don't know should I be using obsessed garage soap or the Adam so I don't need it okay all stocked up on the best detailing supplies and go rip around and hear the new exhaust sounds sounds aggressive we've established masses much more noisy than mine Catlett their tips look different do bat purposely told done in to give me the cat and ones cuz you didn't want my car to be as Lauda says hey we could trade since you don't want the Sun I want the lavas go yellow what you got old man I know masses a little bit louder but in car this is the perfect level of loudness where I can feel and I can hear it but it's not too obnoxious and I can still press about make it a little bit even quieter well that drive was definitely the most fun that I've half of this car in the entire time I've owned it but I do have to say there's a very good chance that probably police officers in the three or four towns that we drove through probably have a warrant out searching for two very very loud Porsches with large wings and weak-looking drivers yeah let me tell you this man over here he may look all humble and tame but when you put him behind the wheel homeboy you don't want to be in the car with him let me just tell you oh my gosh well I didn't lose my GoPro that's impressive you know when you're going the speed limit it's very easy to lose the GoPro all right so just for reference Matt's car has the identical setup for exhaust except obviously his cars in nine 91.1 mine's a nine nine 1.2 so it's slightly different variances with engine but the main difference is here's cars catalyst my car isn't so I'm gonna set the camera up what what's it doing now what is it doing what is it doing oh did you just bark at me alright so we're gonna do side by side startup kit now we're back where it all started back down the old OG headquarters and his own beautiful washed bay and we're gonna give this thing the first wash since it's got i'll detailed and everything i've been a little bit too nervous to mess up anything with it but he's got an awesome setup out here boom pole and everything this guy does not look friendly it's funny I was mentioning to Matt how on the drive home the car was kicking out a little bit on the corners which it never happened before because it's pretty much a car you can drive flat-out all the time Matt thinks that extra 40 foot pounds of torque is enough to kick it out I guess it makes sense what's that you just spray it all in one spot what smell is it whether fine leather you better not be getting okay just not like a new car I'm okay with it I like it it goes away it looks sick it was just a basic wash with bead maker that's kind of like a topper Lars corrected so well that it looks amazing so I think that about sums up this video and is super super late it was bad it was a little closer to an hour drive versus the hour and half drive out there but I had a blast ripping back with a car perfect exhaust note I'm very happy I know that I heard done Daan's before like in the Smoky Mountains and I knew that I liked them but I hadn't heard them on a 9 in 1.2 and I'm very very stoked on how it sounds everything went together and I hope you guys are too so anyway I don't know what's going on tomorrow I don't really have plans which is weird for once so who knows knowing me and we'll get into something fun but anyway I want to thank you guys for watching and I hope you're excited as I am Hey\n"
