**The i18 TWs AirPods Review: A Comprehensive Analysis**
**Packaging and Design Score: 13**
The packaging of the i18 TWs AirPods is similar to that of the Apple AirPods, which raises some questions about the brand's attention to detail. Upon opening the case, we find a lid that takes up a fourth of the space on the front, with a small indent that makes it easier to open the case. The case itself fits nicely in the palm of your hand and also in pockets. On the bottom of the case, there is a lightning charging port, which is similar to that of the Apple AirPods. Above this, there is a chrome button used for enabling the charging of the headphones. Additionally, there is a small LED that indicates when the headphones are charging. The chrome hinge on the latch of the case stays down via magnets, giving it a decent feel.
**Design Score: 14**
The design of the i18 TWs AirPods is also similar to that of the Apple AirPods, with the infamous stem being a notable feature. There are three grilles on the headphones - one large one in the deepest part of your ear, and two smaller ones above it on the outer side of the stem. The plastic has a small hole containing the touch functions, while there is also a dot printed on the outer part of the headphones that lacks a sensor. Two contact points are present for charging the headphones in the case.
**Connectivity Score: 11**
The i18 TWs AirPods have the W1 chip in them, which means they automatically connect to your iPhone once paired. To test their connectivity, I tested how far the headphones could get from my phone before disconnecting or experiencing any lag. Thankfully, I found that there was no Bluetooth lag when using both earbuds at the same time, and even less lag when just one earbud was in use. The headphones also support auto turn-on and auto pairing features.
**Battery Life Score: 10**
The i18 TWs AirPods have a battery life of two to three hours with one earbud being used, but four hours total playback if both are used simultaneously. With the case, an additional 18 hours of playback can be achieved. This is a decent range for wireless earbuds.
**Features and Cool Things Score: 12**
The i18 TWs AirPods have several features that make them stand out from other wireless earbuds. They support Bluetooth 5.0, with a frequency of 2.6 gigahertz. The headphones also have a 60-hour standby time and touch functions that can be accessed by tapping either side once to answer calls, twice to summon Siri, or three times to recall the last person you called. Additionally, there is a button on the back of the case used for enabling charging.
**Audio Quality Score: 11**
The audio quality of the i18 TWs AirPods is decent overall. They produce good highs and lows, with balanced sound. However, my only issue was that the music sounds almost distant. Despite this, the headphones are clear and loud when needed.
**Mic Quality Score: 11**
When testing the mic quality of the headphones, I found them to be satisfactory but not exceptional. The audio is clear and decent when on a phone call or recording. Overall, these wireless earbuds sound good and have a solid microphone for its price.
**Testing and Conclusion**
The i18 TWs AirPods may not offer anything groundbreaking in terms of features or design, but they are an affordable option that gets the job done. With their decent audio quality, clear microphone, and seamless connectivity, these earbuds are worth considering for those looking to upgrade from older wireless earbuds or those on a budget.
