The Dell Inspiron 7567: A Gaming Laptop That Doesn't Break the Bank

Hey guys, this is Austin, and I'm here to show you that sometimes, you don't have to break the bank to get a great gaming laptop. When it comes to laptops designed for gaming, they're usually in one of two camps: either really cheap with mediocre graphics or incredibly expensive, huge, and heavy. But I think this Dell Inspiron 7567 is a nice blend of both.

This is not a bad-looking laptop, by the way. If red is a bit too much for you, you can actually get it in black, but that's a standout feature. When you open it up, you'll see that it's a little bigger than expected, rocking a 15.6-inch 1080p display. However, what's special inside is where this laptop really shines. Not only does it have a Kaby Lake Core i5 quad-core processor, but it also comes with dedicated GTX 1050Ti graphics.

Before we dive into the specs, let's take a look at what else you get in the box. To be honest, it's not a whole lot. You'll just get a power cable, which isn't a big deal since this laptop has pretty much everything you need built-in. Unlike most laptops today, this one comes with full-sized USB ports, HDMI, and even ethernet. This is absolutely a gaming laptop.

Now, I know what you're thinking: it's a little bit big and a little bit heavy. But considering what you get inside, it's not crazy. Let's take a closer look at the screen, which is, to be honest, not great. It's 1080p, but the colors are mediocre, and the issue is that the viewing angle is very narrow. If you sit in just the right spot, it looks fine, but if you move it even slightly farther away, the entire thing washes out. Reminding me of a much cheaper laptop.

But while this might not be the best-looking laptop, I do think it's a solid choice for gaming. The keyboard is decent, with a layout that's nice and full-numbered on the side. It's also backlit, which is always a plus. And while the webcam isn't too special – just 720p with dual microphones – the trackpad is completely fine, supporting multi-touch and tracking reasonably accurately.

What really separates this Inspiron from most other laptops in its price category is the performance. Inside, it's rocking a quad-core Intel Core i5-7300HQ processor, NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti graphics, 8 gigabytes of memory, and a 256-gigabyte SSD. This might be a slightly older title, but GTA V still looks amazing on this laptop. And with the right configuration, you can upgrade it to even more powerful components – like I'll show you later.

The mid-spec model starts at around $850, which is an incredible price for what you get. Of course, if you want to save a little bit of money, you can drop down to GTX 1050 graphics and a one terabyte hard drive. Or, if you want to upgrade it, you can throw in some extra components like a Core i7 processor or more memory.

One of the things that really impressed me about this laptop is how easy it was to open up and upgrade. With just one screw, we could take off the bottom panel and see what's inside. There's actually a lot of room for upgrades – you can easily bump up the memory from 8 gigs to 16 or even 32. And there's a completely open 2.5-inch drive bay, so you can swap out your hard drive for an SSD or whatever else you need.

Over here, we have the M.2 SATA drive, which might not be any faster than a normal SSD but is still nice and small. It also takes up more room than I expected, but that's just because it's so big inside. And of course, there are the dual fans with the heat pipe between the CPU and GPU – always a good sign.

But what really stood out to me was how easy it was to work on this laptop. The battery is super easy to remove, and everything feels nice and clean in here. It's not often that I get to open up a laptop like this, so I have to say, it's been a while since I've seen hardware that's this accessible.

All things considered, the Dell Inspiron 7567 makes a solid gaming or editing laptop for $850. The screen might not be perfect, but there's really not much to complain about. What do you guys think? Definitely be sure to let me know in the comments below!

completely usable.The webcam isn't too special.So it's 720p, and while itdoes have dual microphones,the video quality just isn't that great,fine for a quick video call,but not for much more than 1080p ultra settings,we're getting anywhere between40 to 50 frames per second.Next we have Overwatch,and I think this is a good exampleof a game that runs reallywell on the Inspiron.So the 1050Ti might not beable to handle 4K gaming,but at 1080p ultra we'regetting a really solid70 frames per second.This is the only model of the Inspironthat comes with pure SSD storage,in this case 256 gigabytes.So it's a SATA drive,so you shouldn't expectany kind of crazy speeds,but here we're getting about 400 on the readand about 330 megabytes on the write.It might not be thefastest thing in the world,but it's gonna be a lot betterthan any of the hard drive models.So there are multipleconfigurations of this guy.So this is the mid spec model,but if you want to savea little bit of money,you can drop it down to GTX 1050 graphicsand a one terabyte hard drive,or if you want to upgrade ityou can throw somethings in like a Core i7,but really I feel like thisis the sort of sweet spot,as the other models get well over $1,000and you're really not gonna be gettinga lot more performance.So with a single screw we can take offthe bottom of the laptop.There is actually a lotof room for upgrades here.So as far memory goes, we haveeight gigs in here right now,but you can easily bumpthat up to 16 or 32 gigs.There's a completely open2.5 inch drive bay,so here if you want you could put innot only
