The Realme Link App: A Review of the Upcoming Wireless Earbuds
I recently had the opportunity to try out the upcoming Realme wireless earbuds, and I was excited to see if they lived up to their promises. The earbuds are called the "Real Me" earbuds, and according to the manufacturer, they have an app for them that is the real deal. In fact, the company claims that this is the official Realme Link App.
However, when I went to check out the app, it was not immediately clear if it was the same as the one that comes with the earbuds. I decided to dig deeper and see what I could find. After some research, I discovered that the Realme Link App is indeed the official companion app for the earbuds. I went ahead and downloaded the app, but unfortunately, I couldn't test it out because it hadn't been officially released yet.
Despite this, I wanted to get a feel for what the earbuds were like, so I decided to try them out without the app. The first thing that struck me was the sound quality. In my opinion, the bass is definitely boosted, and many listeners will appreciate this trait. If you're looking for a more neutral sound signature, these earbuds may not be for you, but if you enjoy a bit of bass, you'll likely love them.
The mid tones were also impressive, with clear vocals that I could easily distinguish from one another. I would rate the mid tones an 8.5 out of 10. The higher frequency treble tones, on the other hand, fell slightly short. While they were not unpleasant to listen to, they lacked a bit of sparkle and clarity compared to some of my other earbuds. Overall, I would rate the treble tones about 7.5 out of 10.
One feature that set these earbuds apart from some of their competitors was active noise cancellation (ANC). According to the manufacturer, the ANC is designed to block a certain amount of sound, which it does. However, it's worth noting that this ANC is not as aggressive or effective as some of the higher-end earbuds on the market. It primarily blocks lower frequency sounds, such as the hum of an air conditioner or fan, but struggles with higher frequency sounds, like the creaking of a fan.
In terms of overall sound quality, I would say that these earbuds are well-suited for music listening, particularly if you enjoy bass-heavy tracks. The ANC is also a nice bonus, especially for those who tend to get distracted by ambient noise while listening to music. However, it's worth being realistic about what the ANC can do – it's not as effective as some of the more premium earbuds on the market.
In terms of pricing, I think that Realme has done a good job of keeping costs low without sacrificing too much quality. If they can price these earbuds below $3500 or around $3000, I would have no hesitation in recommending them to listeners who are looking for an affordable option with good sound quality and ANC.
Overall, my experience with the Realme wireless earbuds was positive, and I think that they offer a lot of value for their price. While they may not be perfect, they are certainly worth considering for anyone in the market for new earbuds.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys this is ranjit and in this video let's have a closer look at this realme buzz a2 these are new earphones from realme and they claim that this also has active noise cancellation so let's have a look and guys i'll divide this video into two parts the first part would be the unboxing and the second part uh would be the audio analysis what do i feel about the same again i'll leave the tab stamps below so here it comes inside the box guys and guys this is a review on it so i don't know exact pricing because i'm actually recording this part before the launch uh but from rumors what i'm hearing this should be priced around 3000 to 3500 so let's have a look at this and this says real me but a2 here this is in black maybe yes and back as you can see it gives us a few specs in fact it says that it has active noise cancellation i want to really judge how good is that because generally active noise cancellation in budget oriented gear but especially perfectly tws is not that great but let's see how this performs they say about 25 hours of battery life i'm pretty sure they're considering the case also and low latency for gaming and it has a 10 mm driver and also has the transparency mode that we here have in higher end what do you say headphones and earphones so that's nice so let's have a closer look let's just open this up now and guys again check the description for all the details uh pricing etc so it just opens up like this and here we have uh so it's like a pebble guys so definitely uh so it opens like this so this we have a led light green i'm uh it's denoting that means it's charged so again this is completely made up of plastic it says real me over here and bottom is this is what this is a uh usb type-c port so that's actually nice so entire hosing is actually uh oh what is this oh some okay to prevent charging and what just remove that so if you have that you know you've got a new one so so here we have stems and one thing to note is that the stems are actually quite long on this one we also have a microphone over here i think so it'll have multiple microphones yes for that active noise cancellation and stuff so here also it has a microphone so that'll be interesting let's see what else do we get in the box not expecting that much and yeah it just goes in like this and you can close it so this might be the okay so you get the pamphlet booklet so gives you a basic idea about how to pair and also it has a real me link app so that's interesting so maybe some customization is available and looks like here we'll have the extra ear tips yes so a one two and the third is pre-attached and this will be the usb cable uh that's a micro usb to type a cable that's in yellow color so that's what we are getting in the box not that much uh but yeah so let me do one thing guys let me set this up and i'll use it and in the later part of the video i'll let you guys know what do i feel about the same so guys now i've used this really earbuds too for a few days and as you can see i'm back in my our regular office so let me actually share my experience what do i feel and i tested it with two smartphones one is my samsung galaxy four two and another is a real me smartphone so let's get on with the details what did i feel about this one and the first thing that let's talk about is the battery life on this one again these are guys tws and uh just stand alone like this uh real me claims about five hours of battery life i couldn't test it completely for five hours but yeah the battery life is closer to that easily should give about four and a half four to four and a half hours on this one and uh they say that the with the combination of this one it should give about 25 hours so this should actually charge it about four times so that way battery life is good now if we talk about the next thing uh this actually has multiple microphones as i've told you they help in anc and also for taking calls which has actually become important and it take a lot of calls and i would say the call quality was good other parties never complained that i was sounding muffled or something but i feel uh in outdoor situations it tries to over do uh the noise cancellation so sometimes it feels a little bit robotic but still i would say uh the microphone quality was uh good but here is a quick sample that i recorded outdoors guys this audio is directly from the smartphone's microphone as you can see i'm in outdoor conditions now what we'll do is we'll connect this real me baths and i'll use that microphone so that you can get an idea how's the audio quality now i'm recording uh with the real piece uh microphone and do let me know if you feel the audio is better this is the audio pickup that you would expect in outdoor sort of conditions so do let me know if you feel the microphone is actually good or not so in terms of microphones i would say i would rate these as 6.5 out of 10. now another thing that is very important for tws is how comfortable they are and actually they have a year tip over here and i would just say these are extremely comfortable i did not expect this at the budget oriented price hopefully they price it around three thousand or less than three thousand five hundred uh these are extremely extremely comfortable for hours and hours also if you wear them you don't feel fatigued and after some time after about 20 minutes you hardly feel the weight so in that area i would say these actually impressed me and i would rate it 9 out of 10 in terms of comfort super comfortable and next if we talk about bluetooth range these are bluetooth 5.2 and the bluetooth range is good guys uh in the same room i never had any disconnection even the second room it went but up from moving forward to that yes it disconnected so the range is good enough i have to rate them uh i would rate the range as 8 out of 4 10. now uh if we also talk about another thing is that they also say that they have an app for this one in fact they say that's it's the real me app that they have and in fact if i go to that real me link it is called i did install this realme link app and guys if i go over here and if i go over to the audio this but j2 is simply not listed maybe because i'm making this video before the launch it's not listed so as of now i could not test the app but i think so after it's released officially they'll update it and thereby you can actually pair it with that app and do a little bit of customization so what i'm using is without the app and now let's also talk about the sound quality because i feel that's the most important thing and but before that let's also talk about active noise cancellation that's the big buzzword that they have with this one and guys yes active noise cancellation is there whenever you just wear it it blocks a certain amount of sound it does not block everything guys i feel it only blocks lower frequency for example right now ac is running in the studio but when i wear it that little hum that we have with the ac is simply gone but again it simply does not block higher frequencies for example i was testing in another area where i had a fan that makes a creaking noise that it could not remove so in terms of noise cancellation low frequency sounds it removes i would say removes about 40 of the sound but when you playback soundtracks then it becomes a lot more effective so for this price point yes there is anc but don't expect miracles like anc we have on airpods pro or even the new samsung galaxy but pro again they have way better active noise cancellation okay so that was regarding active noise cancellation yes it's there i thought it would be a total gimmick no it's there but again be realistic guys now let's also talk about the sound quality and i'll divide it between three the bass the mid tones and the treble and what do i feel about them and here i have to say guys i was surprised first let's talk about the bass the bass is definitely boosted in fact it's boosted quite a bit and many of you will actually like it i enjoyed a lot of music on this one you get that bass effect so the bass is done very well on this one in fact for the price i would say the bass has been done very well on this certainly not neutral guys so if you enjoy a little bit of bass it's not bass head types so that get overpowering or booming but the bass has been done very well and if i have to rate it in terms of bass for the price guys i'm considering it to be less than 3500 i would rate it as high as 9 out of 10. certainly much better than the oneplus tws that i had reviewed a couple of uh months back in that i felt the base was lacking quite a bit that's not the case with this one so i would say the base is done very well but again it's not neutral it's definitely boosted and it's if we talk about the mid tones where we have a lot of vocals and stuff here also i feel it's done very well the vocals were clear uh i could distinguish between it and uh i would rate them about 8.5 out of 10. now moving to the higher frequency the treble tones it's not good guys but again i feel it misses slight sparkle but again i'm not expecting that considering the price point of this one uh so in terms of treble tones i would uh rate them uh about 7.5 it's not like we don't have the treble tones but they are slightly on the softer side i would say so that way it's actually good for people who don't like harsher treble tones but overall i would say considering the price point i did enjoy listening to music on this one i enjoyed a lot of music and in fact i would say i don't know the exact pricing if they can price it below 3500 or around 3000 then i feel these are very good in terms of the sound signature that they produce and also yes we have that bonus of active noise cancellation on this yes it's not that super aggressive active noise cancellation that we find on very high in tws but yes when you wear it that is there but again guys have realistic expectations so overall i would say i actually enjoyed them and let's see how do they price it if uh real me can price this below 3500 or close to about 3 000 then i can certainly recommend that anyways guys that's it for now for this review if you guys are still not subscribed to the youtube channel hit that subscribe button this is ranjit and i hope to see you in my next video take care guyshi guys this is ranjit and in this video let's have a closer look at this realme buzz a2 these are new earphones from realme
