I'm back at it, combing through Home Goods for the perfect chairs for Patrick. I was really excited about these two chairs that caught my eye, but when I got to them, they weren't available. The sales associate told me that we don't have anything in stock and that I would have to order online with a minimum shipping time of a week. I'm starting to think that nobody has things in stock anymore.

On my way out, I decided to check out Target, which is like just a block away from Home Goods. I was hoping to find some mid-century chairs for Patrick, but they didn't have anything on the clearance rack that I liked. As I walked into West Elm, I realized that it's actually a showroom and you can't take anything home with you. They told me that everything has to be ordered online, which would take at least a week to arrive.

But then, I stumbled upon a vintage store that I've been driving by for years, and I finally decided to go in. And guess what? They had authentic Tulip chairs from the 1960s! Patrick's been searching for these chairs everywhere, and it was like fate brought me here. The chairs are swivel seats, and I'm so excited to get them home and set up for him.

I've also made a quick stop at one of my favorite artist and craft stores in LA. They have the most beautiful papers that I just love. I was browsing through their selection and found some gorgeous weight paper that I know Patrick will use for his art projects. I also picked up some colored paper to create a collage wall in frames that I had bought from a thrift store earlier. My plan is to do a combination of art made with makeup and shapes cut out of colored paper, inspired by the style of Picasso.

I decided to experiment with different techniques using loose sheets of color paper and liquid liner. I glued some loose sheets onto a glass surface to test how they would react when dried. It's fascinating to see how the colors transfer and blend together. I also tested out different shapes and cutouts, like rough face shapes and almond-shaped eyes.

As I was playing around with the art supplies, I got inspired by my own makeup collection. I started cutting out shapes from paper and gluing them onto a glass surface. It's amazing how quickly the colors transfer when you add lip liner or cream lipstick to it. The result is like a smudged, messy art piece that still looks cohesive.

I spent the rest of the day playing around with different techniques and materials. I ended up creating some rough-looking face cutouts in various colors, including plumy purple and pink triangles. It's so much fun experimenting with new ways to create art using makeup and paper.

The back room of my studio is where all the unpacking and organizing happens. Since both Patrick and Manny have empty rooms, we've been ordering lots of stuff online. Sopia made these hilarious lists of all the receipts, which helps us stay organized. We're getting a ton of shipments coming in, so it's essential to keep track of what we have.

Now that everything is finally unpacked, I'm hopeful that Patrick will love the design I've chosen for his room. It's been quite a journey getting this whole room pulled together, but I think it'll be worth it in the end. The day of installation has arrived, and I'm excited to see how everything comes together.

design today's Vlog is going to be about shopping for Patrick Star he is one of the most lovable humans I've ever met in my life and does amazing makeup tutorials so obviously we're doing an OMG we're coming over we're doing his Glam room which guys it's such a huge honor to do his glam clam room because it's where he's going to shoot all of his Beauty tutorials his collabs it's been very challenging because it's not that big in the scheme of all the stuff that he wants to do in there he has to store thousands of pieces of makeup and then he also has to shoot there so it's has to be like a convertible space the stuff I'm shopping in store is mostly accessories the jewelry of the room I like to experience those things in person but I like to shop for the larger items online let's go shopping or first Maybe check out the mood boards so let's first look at the mood board that I sent to Patrick for approval he personally created a Pinterest board and sent it to me with inspiration images so that I could get into his head and it's a little different from what he normally does there's a mix of styles he wants to use this room for three different purposes he wants to shoot tutorial videos he wants to shoot collab videos and he also wants to shoot like sit down talking videos we're going to bring in a couch we're going to bring in a coffee table we're going to bring in side tables now here's the deal deal guys everything needs to be convertible this coffee table I found on Overstock and it raises up to table height and lowers to coffee table height so that means he could use it with the conversation area with a couch and a couple chairs love this layout of gallery art definitely getting inspired by that to do something let me show you the floor plan we are needing to do a lot of stuff in a small room which is why we have the convertibility aspect of the different Furnitures there are two windows here it's a little bit odd in that they're just right into the corner but they're not symmetrical you can see this window is shorter than this window so I'm not going to make a huge moment I'm just going to do some simple like white curtain panel probably we've got the sofa here it's going to take up half wall half window super super important for this whole transformation is giving him Mega storage for his makeup so that is what is going on in this closet this is kind of the jumping off point of course things always change once you're in in the room measurements are really important to know what to buy Etc now let me show you my shopping board so these are things that I went online and shopped I actually shopped for him a lot online which is great because the selection is just way bigger than when you shop in stores I got him this yellow couch I love it so much it's petite bright it's happy it's streamlined I love the legs I'm obsessed with this rug you guys it is a Moroccan shag beautiful 100% wool which is great because it's easier to clean than a synthetic rug so then I can get away with playing with so many different colors because this rug is in the room this sideboard is literally like what dreams are made of it was a little bit more of an investment piece it is so worth it this could travel in every room ever it's got the brass accents it's beautiful other accent pillows here we've got the orange gold we've got a beautiful pink here that's so fun with the tassels you can see how well it plays with the rug we've got this convertible coffee table that raises up we've got some nesting tables here and I also for the side table rather than doing just like a regular side table I'm doing this tiered rolling table so it has the wheels you can roll it around and also be able to just store different things so this could be really helpful when you shooting videos last thing I want to show you guys is this closet now the closet is so so so important for this room because of the storage and doesn't need to store clothes in there he needs to store hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of makeup things so drawers are essential I went a little bit more of an economical route than getting like a custom closet is using this Ikea packs system which I built online they have on the Ikea website the ability to mock up what you want I want to paint the back of the closet a bright pink color and because these come with backings we're probably going to end up painting the back of these closet systems the same hot pink color so that it's uniform and then you can see see all these drawers they don't come with PS so that is what I'm going to get also labels like these which are actually from Amazon which I want to put on all the drawers and so you can see these labels have little tabs on them so those will be good for like the side smaller drawers and then these don't have them so those will go in the center of the longer drawers and then we'll do some fun PS on either side and also boxes up on top and more boxes and like a moment of like cute display area so that's the plan guys holy crap lots to do I am at the farmers market SLG grve area here in Los Angeles I'm going to head in to anthropology and see what kind of pretty poles they have for those Center drawers and it's really hot and I'm wearing jeans why did I wear jeans G okay chopping here we are yay knob knob knob knob knob knob goals right here ooh they're really pretty but I think I want something with a little bit of color in it oh wait here is the colorful knob l and these are so pretty ooh ooh I like these the labels that I'm getting for the drawers are like this kind of antique brass color these could be perfect I really like these okay so something that I always am telling you guys about these mood boards is like to save them on your phone for reference while you're out I'm now counting the large drawers in the center closet setup so obviously this is really helpful because now I will get the right amount of knobs and as much stuff as I wanted to so I'm going to have to hit up homec goods for some of those blinger items here we are in blingy lamp L these are the three lamps I'm going to get it's beautiful Square shade one with this amazing faceted glass Bas blingy like almost like pineapple looking it's like a super super pale pink and this really cool like cylinder lamp that looks like a diso ball kind of I'm obsessed with these boxes that have a little bit of black in them too cuz I also have a black side table more storage I'm in my beloved curtain section um I'm going to get Patrick some 96in panels I want to hang the curtain panels up pretty high so that they look nice and dramatic and elegant we could go super loud with these but then that's just too loud and not Glam and he's Glam so we're going to go these those are some colorful objects to place around the room like I'm very happy with what I got the only thing I have left to get are frames for Patrick's um artwork that I want to do I think I'm going to actually hit up a thrift store for that for those frames so we will see good morning guys I'm outside Patrick's apartment I'm about to go in he's actually out of town he's in Paris we're doing a prep day sometimes we do depending on the workload of the room design just so that we can ensure that when we actually shoot the episode of om G we coming over we can like get the entire come out and give us an estimate you can do that for free they come and they measure and they do a little sketch it was so expensive because we needed so many drawers and like the drawers cost a lot when you get a c custom closet it was just more budget friendly and also just kind of like a better tip for all you guys to go the modular route and do like an Ikea closet combo with some like anthropology knobs and also breaking apart the inside of the existing closet and painting it pink so yeah that's like the behind the behind the behind the scene some of them can actually take a day to do and some of them take a day and a little behind the scenes for anyways there's lots to do so let's get up in to Patrick's apartment and here is Peter hi what are you working on yay secret project con condoms on them this is the closet that is just not working I mean he really doesn't need a clothing rack in here so we're going to bust this out take out this shelf and then put in a whole new drawer system and this roll of paper we're actually going to hang a roll system here are you banging it you're punching it jesz oh my gosh Joey do that oh sorry Patrick sorry not sorry so we're going to paint the back of the closet and then we're also going to paint the backs of the Ikea like shelving units where the drawers are going to go in look at how freaking gorgeous obviously I'm excited about this pink color and now we have to see what family goes with it closer on the color wheel to Pink right CU it's kind of like an orangey Coral or we could go a little bit farther away on the color wheel even mind other colors that we're bringing in with the furniture and we have like a lemon yellow couch I'm leaning towards this family look how pretty that is two colors and debating between this is the lighter one which you can see how much once it's against white which it will be since we're doing just a horizontal line across but I think that'll be so pretty with the yellow couch against it this is it this is the winner getting frames for Patrick's art wall so I'm going to go to a vintage store you know I always say that there's things that go wrong no matter what the chairs that I ordered are back ordered for like the rest of my life we cancelled those and I have to go find two awesome chairs right now at the last minute oh chairs I feel you I feel your energy I'm coming to get you counil thft shop and donation center all right so there are thingss here but they a little pricey that one's awesome but it says $50 new so that was kind of a bust so I'm going to go hit up another thrift store I didn't want to spend $50 on just one frame when I need like four or six of them I'm going to go hit up BTS thrift store one of my trusty places to get awesome stuff okay so this is my thrift store Heaven it looks get this Frame section I think I'm good with these I'm going to see what kind of price they can give me because I'm a good customer six frames with math for $40 I love thrift store shopping so I'm going to go into HD Buttercup which is an amazing furniture store just see if there's some chairs here oh my God and right as I walk in andal Green Oh my god with these wood arms are you kidding me and the brass frames a Dunning oh my gosh of course there's a damn whole tag on these are you kidding kayn I'm going to hunt you down amazing amazing this table it's the work of art lamp goals I mean look at this light it's a freaking jellyfish shut up two pale pink club chairs with low backs they're 975 they're too big I think so I'm going to go see what they have at CB2 let's see what I can find all right these are the orange awesome pillows here this is like that really pale salmony orange and then this is like a darker orange how cute the lighting in here is hard but it's cute trust me I'm also getting this awesome marble base where you rest this vanity mirror like that how cool is that silver bag to store some stuff on one of the sunlight out a shape and in glue I don't want to do all of the artwork all but I really do want Patrick to be able to make his own art for his place so I'm going to try it out and let you know how it goes so like something like this framed in a matte like a super thick matte frame could look like super artsy and so I'm going to let these dry they're all like stay proof like lip pens and then these are liquid liners I use like a cream lipstick or something that doesn't dry I put the glass over it it could transfer onto the glass and look messy and smudged so that's just why I'm experimenting with these things like just really technically to just see how they react oh my God you guys I am obsessed with this cut out like a rough face shape cut out a sort of rough eyebrow shape cut out like a little almond shaped eye did this plumy purpley color cut out this triangle of like pink kind of symbolized like blush almost Picasso as there's literally obviously so many options oh my God I'm so he don't kid with these lights with the soft little con condoms on them this is the closet that is just not working I mean he really doesn't need a clothing rack in here so we're going to bust this out take out this shelf and then put in a whole new drawer system and this roll of paper we're actually going to hang a roll system here are you banging it you're punching it jesz oh my gosh Joey do that oh sorry Patrick sorry not sorry so we're going to paint the back of the closet and then we're also going to paint the backs of the Ikea like shelving units where the drawers are going to go in look at how freaking gorgeous obviously I'm excited about this pink color and now we have to see what family goes with it closer on the color wheel to Pink right CU it's kind of like an orangey Coral or we could go a little bit farther away on the color wheel even mind other colors that we're bringing in with the furniture and we have like a lemon yellow couch I'm leaning towards this family look how pretty that is two colors and debating between this is the lighter one which you can see how much once it's against white which it will be since we're doing just a horizontal line across but I think that'll be so pretty with the yellow couch against it this is it this is the winner getting frames for Patrick's art wall so I'm going to go to a vintage store you know I always say that there's things that go wrong no matter what the chairs that I ordered are back ordered for like the rest of my life we cancelled those and I have to go find two awesome chairs right now at the last minute oh chairs I feel you I feel your energy I'm coming to get you counil thft shop and donation center all right so there are thingss here but they a little pricey that one's awesome but it says $50 new so that was kind of a bust so I'm going to go hit up another thrift store I didn't want to spend $50 on just one frame when I need like four or six of them I'm going to go hit up BTS thrift store one of my trusty places to get awesome stuff okay so this is my thrift store Heaven it looks get this Frame section I think I'm good with these I'm going to see what kind of price they can give me because I'm a good customer six frames with math for $40 I love thrift store shopping so I'm going to go into HD Buttercup which is an amazing furniture store just see if there's some chairs here oh my God and right as I walk in andal Green Oh my god with these wood arms are you kidding me and the brass frames a Dunning oh my gosh of course there's a damn whole tag on these are you kidding kayn I'm going to hunt you down amazing amazing this table it's the work of art lamp goals I mean look at this light it's a freaking jellyfish shut up two pale pink club chairs with low backs they're 975 they're too big I think so I'm going to go see what they have at CB2 let's see what I can find all right these are the orange awesome pillows here this is like that really pale salmony orange and then this is like a darker orange how cute the lighting in here is hard but it's cute trust me I'm also getting this awesome marble base where you rest this vanity mirror like that how cool is that silver bag to store some stuff on one of the sunlight giving me a sun beard how you doing I'm back at it combing la for the perfect chairs for Patrick also shopping for some art supplies today so look how freaking cute only one of them I think and I need two matching chairs oh my God guys that is the first time I've left a homegood empty-handed I did get a sandwich though I'm starving there's another hom Goods like right nearby so I'm going to try that one now I'm at Target also called West Elm they're like oh no we're a showroom you can't leave with anything we don't have anything in stock you to order it it'll take a week minimum does nobody have things in store anymore let's see what target has okay guys here in the clearance section are two chairs way more midcentury I just worry that they're not like special enough I'm about to hit up this place that I've driven by a few times and I really want to go in there there shut up are you kidding me vintage you guys Patrick's chairs are here this is why I haven't got them yet cuz I was meant to come to this place it was meant to be I'm so excited they are authentic tulip chairs from the 1960s they swivel I'm so happy all right guys I'm making a quick stop at one of my favorite artist and craft stores here in La artist and crafts Supply I mean like look at this guys oh do you look how beautiful these are so great for like backgrounds of photos and I don't know you could even frame these and use these as art I am here getting some paper some really nice weight paper for Patrick's Mess by the way I'm getting some nice weight paper for Patrick's makeup art and then I also want to get some colored paper so I wanted do collage wall in those frames that I got from the thrift store and I want to do a combo of art made with makeup and then also art that's like shapes of faces with colored paper so basically take cutouts of faces maybe making them kind of look Picasso esque so that it's not going to influence Patrick's like actual makeup ideas but it's going to be indicative of his art I am just testing out the art art work I have just some random makeup here that I'm going to experiment with these loose sheets of the color paper just experiment with cutting out a shape and in glue I don't want to do all of the artwork all but I really do want Patrick to be able to make his own art for his place so I'm going to try it out and let you know how it goes so like something like this framed in a matte like a super thick matte frame could look like super artsy and so I'm going to let these dry they're all like stay proof like lip pens and then these are liquid liners I use like a cream lipstick or something that doesn't dry I put the glass over it it could transfer onto the glass and look messy and smudged so that's just why I'm experimenting with these things like just really technically to just see how they react oh my God you guys I am obsessed with this cut out like a rough face shape cut out a sort of rough eyebrow shape cut out like a little almond shaped eye did this plumy purpley color cut out this triangle of like pink kind of symbolized like blush almost Picasso as there's literally obviously so many options oh my God I'm so obsessed so I'm going to glue this down so into these oh my God look at our back room okay so this is both Patrick and Manny stuff mostly online shopping because they were two empty rooms so obviously I ordered a lot of stuff online sopia made these hilarious lists all of the receipts and everything here which is great cuz it helps us stay organized we're getting like a ton of shipments coming in and like anyone who's in the office can just like check in what we have so this is the Manny pile and this is the Patty pile both just play Life we've got to have fabulous rooms for two fabulous human beings it is the day of the install it's been quite a time getting this whole room pulled together I'm really hopeful that he will love the
