**Hands-On Setup and Overview with the Nokia Lumia 525**
As I began setting up my new Nokia Lumia 525, I was excited to explore its features and capabilities. The process itself is not too long, but it does take some time to complete. The Wi-Fi setup is one of the first things I had to configure, which took a couple of seconds or minutes to finish. Once the Wi-Fi was set up, I could start signing in to my account, which added an extra layer of security and convenience.
The setup process of Windows Phone is still a bit long, but I decided to skip it for now. As you can see, it's almost done, and I can now use the phone without any issues. One of the features that caught my attention was the ability to automatically save pictures to SkyDrive. This feature can also sync text messages, which is a convenient option for those who like to keep their messaging in one place.
As I progressed with the setup, I reached the settings section, where I could explore more about the phone's hardware and software. Out of the box, the Lumia 525 comes with 8GB of internal storage, but due to the operating system taking up a significant amount of space, only 4.48GB is available for use. However, the phone does support an SD card, which can be used for storing pictures, videos, and other files.
One of the notable features of the Lumia 525 is its compatibility with Windows Phone 8 OS's "Black" update. This ensures that the phone stays up-to-date with the latest software security patches and features. Another feature worth mentioning is the auto-brightness sensor, which can adjust the screen brightness based on the surrounding light conditions. This feature can be turned off or adjusted manually for different preferences.
I decided to test the phone's browser by visiting a few websites, including Nokia.com and Star.com. The browsing experience was smooth, with responsive pinch-to-zoom functionality. I also played a YouTube video using the built-in app, which handled it seamlessly.
**Gaming Capabilities**
One of the notable features of the Lumia 525 is its gaming capabilities. With 1GB of RAM, many games that were not compatible with earlier models are now available on this device. This is a significant upgrade and will provide users with a wide range of game options to choose from.
**Camera and Other Features**
The camera app was another feature I wanted to explore. The phone comes with touch-to-focus functionality, which allows for quick and easy focusing before taking the snap. Unfortunately, there is no flash on this device, which may limit its performance in low-light conditions. However, the initial results were promising, and I'm excited to test the camera further.

This in-depth review will cover all aspects of the phone's performance, including its gaming capabilities, camera features, and overall user experience.

unboxing video links will be in the show notes so the first thing is this is the Lumia 525 and the first thing is that you need to open it and to open it you need to press uh this camera button and then pry this open it's a little bit difficult to take it out but that's the way you open it up and it should come out like this and as you can see right away let me just zoom in a little bit we can add our micro SD card up to 64 GB is supported and uh we'll do that first and we can also add our SIM card and this uh alumia 525 uh is the successor to the popular fight Lumia 520 and this one has 1 GB of RAM and this is how you'll insert your micro SIM do note it accepts a micro SIM and let me just put this in like this and you just slide it in completely like this and now you can just put in the battery the battery on this is a 1,430 mamp battery and it will go in like this and you can just close the back cover now and this will be the first Bo food for this device this middle button is the power button so let's power on this Lumia 525 it just gave me a haptic feedback uh and it is booting and in looks Department it's very similar to the Lumia 520 and if you look at both the 520 and 525 it'll be difficult to distinguish between them because they're very similar uh one thing is a little bit regarding the pricing is this Lumia 525 is almost about 20 2,000 Rupees more than the Lumia 520 and the biggest advantage of this Lumia 525 is that extra 52 MV of ram it has 1 gig of RAM so it'll be ideal for gamers so if you're are a person who does not do a lot of gaming even and you are on a very tight budget I would say even the Nokia Lumia 520 would suffice you fine because it's available currently at a very attractive price uh I'm it's a little bit sad to see that as this Lumia 525 is the successor to the 520 Nokia did not add a LED flash FL or even a front facing camera the rear facing camera is still a 5 megap camera and it can record video up to 720P HD so as you can see the first boot can take a little bit of time so I'll just skip this portion and move to the next screens and uh as you can see it is started now and uh we'll just select our language that's English and we need to accept it uh we just hit the recommended uh settings and as you can see it specifies us uh uh the country Etc and the time zone you can set on uh and uh let's hit next and it's searching and we'll just quickly configure a Wi-Fi network and it's advisable that you connect to a Wi-Fi network otherwise it will use your cellular data and also uh if you have already a Windows account you can sign in or create one I already have one so let me just quick LLY sign in and I'll be back and as you can see actually did use my 3G data uh I don't know why because the Wi-Fi was configured and it's now signing in to my uh account and again this can take a couple of uh seconds or minutes actually the setup process of Windows phone is still a little bit long so I'll just skip this and as you can see uh it is done and actually I can if you have already used a Windows phone you can restore it but I don't want to do that so I'll say don't restore and we'll hit next and it also says that it can automatically save whenever you take a picture to the sky drive and it can also uh sync your text messages uh but I don't want to do that so I'll just hit now and uh the setup is almost done now and again this might take a minute or so so you need to be patient I'll just skip this portion and move to the next and Adas also is there so let's quickly just look at the settings let's go to the settings and uh let's first look at the uh internal storage uh out of the box we get 8GB but again you won't get that fully because uh the OS Windows Phone os does take quite a bit so let's look at the storage first and uh we are on the storage and out of that 8 GB of internal storage you do get just 4.48 GB again do note that we have added SD card but you cannot install the apps on the SD card the SD card will be used just for storing pictures videos Etc and as you can see we can specify to store new music videos Etc and pictures on the SD card so let's look at about actually this version of uh uh Lumia 525 uh does come with the latest version of Windows phone 8os that's the black update actually so let's look at it and let's look at extra info and again it's loading and as you can see it does come with Lumia black so that's a good thing and let me just go back again and let's look at the brightness we do have the auto brightness sensor as it can see and it's doing a good job we can switch it off and go manually to low medium or high if you want so this is the interface uh and we are connected to our uh Wi-Fi network so let's quickly just fire up this uh web browser and we'll use the recommended settings and it's going to Nokia page let's go to our website this is the standard keyboard that we get let's go to tas.com and this is the first time that we are going to our website that's star.com uh again you see these lines this is not the fault of the phone uh it's my camera uh so just don't worry about Ed again as you can see pinch to zoom is responsive again it's SP by the uh qualcom based Snapdragon 1 GHz dual Cod processor and let's open up one of this uh uh page and it has a YouTube video so let's see how it handles it let me increase the volume let's make it 25 out of 30 and uh this is a YouTube video so let's see how it handles it and it's opening it in its own app a few of you have asked me to make a mobile buying guide for this Diwali season again the speaker is pretty loud and decent so that's nice and uh before I end this again uh biggest thing with this Lumia 525 is that now as it has uh 1 GB of RAM a lot of games are now compatible with this one the earlier Lumia 520 they were not not compatible so I'll be actually making a dedicated gaming uh video with this Lumia 520 very soon and before I end this let's also look at the camera you can just hit this button to invoke the camera app and again it says uh no I don't want to share my location and we do get this uh touch to focus functionality and actually it takes the snap if after focusing automatically for example you just tap in and it takes the snap and uh let's look at the pictures they will be in the gallery so let's look at it let's go to the photos camera roll and as you can see these are the pictures that we took right now this one and this one they came out to be decent again do note that this Lumia 525 also does not have any flash so if you
