Racing at Bandimere: A Day to Remember
So, you just raced at Bandimere today, yep, won three rounds and lost. I was in seventh place, so six was Podium, so I had to leave that. Yeah, let's see until then. Drove from Bandimere tires off put him in the back came here changed tires back on and just made one pass. Nice, so you got any more racing to do or is it just race week from here on out? Uh, no, uh tomorrow we got our top performer for a Wally abandonment that's an Invitational that me my dad are in really. So, tonight we're gonna drive the van Damme and I'm gonna sleep in my car and then uh come back to Pueblo in the morning get on Route and drive through the night and hopefully end up in Kearney at nine o'clock in the morning. So, you're going to Denver coming back here to start the route because I we're pretty I'm guessing it's going to be East hopefully we can we can like do some other route but it's probably not. We'll see so we'll do that and then come back. We're on a race week and then Saturday Sunday next week we got fall series abandonment this is our last season so we're just why not yeah.
Testing at Bandimere: A Launch Control Challenge
Oh, yeah, all right testing two abandonment on Wednesday if we got time you're not so what you gonna do this in manual keep it out of manual okay no it's in drive I'm kidding I'm gonna push the gas pedal and you can see make the car go straight. Okay, we'll see if Matt does launch control maybe not. No burnout this time so we'll see what he does. He was finished and his launch was pretty soft really yeah oh he's out of the groove what's happened you know the groove yeah I can't see the groove in the dark okay ducky all right well that sucked. All right, it's your time to shine what are you gonna do? I think I'm gonna do a burnout this time and just floor it all right yeah I think I'm gonna do that cool foreign that puts him in third place right ahead of witty we just we just gotta do a little bit quicker here he's a last now plot twist taking over third. Yeah, nothing wrong with bronze it took like two tenths off your time yeah I was I I I heard it over there he's like 12 31. Let's go hell yeah now Whitney's got to do some work here how was the burnout was it it was great it sounded amazing okay good I almost like heard my car do a burnout yet oh oh there you go I was like I think it's good to do a little burnout I think it helps yeah it helps for sure.
The Finish: A New Order
All right, witty's last up we'll let her cool down for a few minutes and then uh see how the places shake out here all right let's see what Woody does. No burnout all right Kyle's gonna line him up so it is in the groove this time because he was out of the group last night that was the issue for him that's why he ran a 13-25 let's see what he can do this time 1264. You locked in your third place I think it's the burnout I think you burnout helps because he spun a couple times right off the line yeah exactly it was a little stickier I think it would be better it felt like it hooked up a lot better than the other one but I didn't put it in B mode or anything I just all right yeah you gotta go turn in your slip now all right so everybody can fast pass you turn your time slip so you get a bonus pass one of the days you get to choose so like if we all get three passes and you're not happy to go you just have to get a board okay you get to go turn in your first ever race week slip first ever slip or anything and we're all within just a little over two tenths which is pretty awesome yeah uh 38 no 22. but I'm the 30th 15 22 34 38.
Post-Racing Activities: Drive Day Tomorrow

I'm running this year uh just just got the Mali Pistons put in it okay uh they're running right at 9.8 to one with these heads gotcha are you running N8 okay yeah what kind of power are we looking at out of the 454 n a uh Ena was uh to the wheel about 500. okay what are we hoping for et this week this week at this air hoping to dip into the mid 11s with it okay well Jesse it's great to see you up we got something a little bit different in Rocky Mountain race week because our crew killed themselves last week at the ice cream Cruise literally I run the event our crew and about 100 other friends helped run the ice cream cruise we usually don't do anything for the weekend afterwards but we're here at race week we're bringing this bass coverage what I'm going to do is all four of our crew including myself have a racer number here and my brand new 23 ct5 black wig so we're all gonna make a pass in the 12-0 class each day hopefully two we're gonna compete to see who's gonna be the highest in the rankings closest to 12-0 this is over at 11-6 stock 668 horsepower 10-speed automatic and we're gonna see who's gonna get take home the money 250 to whoever is the closest at the end of four days and anybody hits a perfect light reaction time I don't think it's gonna happen I'll give 100 to that I have one more challenge let me go find my friend cam all right so our friend cam here came all the way back up from Houston again he was here for with us on Race week 1.0 he's got this 2023 ZL1 it's the exact same car as my ct5e black Wing just in a Camaro body same weight same power lt4 from the C7 Corvette same thing so whoever's closest each run we're gonna run each other every time I run and whoever's the closest 12-0 is going to win if we break out whatever breaks out the worst it's gonna lose sounds good let's do it and I'll extend the the perfect reaction time to you too you get a perfect extra time 100 steal sounds awesome sweet all right we're gonna have a lot of fun with this our goal is to relax a little bit more on this event and just enjoy it because this is one of my favorite events every year and we're going to be bringing plenty of race with coverage so traction no trash oh yeah it was all over the place uh I got really close to the right Edge um yeah eight 850 at 152. it was pretty good to the eighth but after the eighth yeah I just wouldn't stick gotcha so pull some power out of it see what it'll do well or wait for the sun to go down a little bit I mean the sun wasn't out though that was the thing I thought it'd be clean but either there's a lot of them run eight to nine so it should be pretty competitive and uh Chad will be way out there in front as long as he doesn't break which he can break everybody can break you have to finish the race to win the race so that's the number one thing you have to finish so let's see what they can do Canadian Chuck Norris how are we doing great Fred how about you not bad you're the crazy guy that drives this car to race week every year how many miles you got on it so far bad it was just short it was like 1200 miles oh that's not bad at all for you six weeks like 3 600 miles for years remind us to set up on the car we'll be looking at the G2 521 cubic inch Pontiac with a 90 94 millimeter turbo it's got a adjustable clutch from black magic and uh G4 six-speed manual transmission gotcha what's the best DT in the car 875 165. in Florida it only likes to go fast really far from home so this is sort of far hopefully it'll do better but what uh what power is it making then because this thing still weighs what four thousand yeah it's 4 100 pounds okay so what kind of power are we making with it so it's like 14.85 at the tire but I always am a little afraid of breaking it so slowly bring it in the Boost but right now it's probably like 1300 to the tires that's where it's set right now try to solve that problem over there do we have a goal for an ET for the GTL this week I don't want to of all you came from Florida thanks for coming out thank you and what is under the hood of this thing so we got a k24a2 uh Rob pistons and a built head so what transmission do you run on this thing double 09 c009 rear diff just stop Chevy Temple gotcha so that's a that's Problem Child we might find so that's it so what kind of ETS do you run with them we first time we had out my buddy built it in two days the motor uh we built it up in Wyoming uh scheduled a Dyno session with Brent brand tuned it on Tuesday and we're here hell yeah yeah what kind of powers it made so we made we made 460 460 no more passes tonight let's see what it can do all right so every race week portable car hoist hauls a hoist around to every track so the racers it was making qualifier passes or like uh indexing passes something like that hasn't made a pass I don't think like in competition yet he's already on the list Let's uh let's see what's going on hey good day bad day lost all the bearings all the bearings yep uh it's got to be progressing because I spent it right here quite a very short blood on that yeah just lost the oil pressure we didn't have no safety in there uh because we were only had this motor in like a week ago so no safeties in it left over here on in the log instead of 10 pounds on a launch by third year we had two pounds backed up it got hot and uh spun a few of the rod bearings and so Brian Tooley racing they hooked us up with bearings and everything we needed so awesome we're spinning them back in and were you guys making just qualifier passes earlier um I would actually run in for my license yeah licensing patch so another guy had said to me that possibly I might be able to turn in my license pass uh before tonight because if it's still a really fast pass yeah so there's a possibility it wasn't in competition but maybe they'd give me a grace period tomorrow so we're gonna at least try to go break a beam tonight being broke and see where we can go when you break the beams you can still finish yeah exactly there you go as long as the motor will make it you know we'll see all right well good luck to you sorry about the mishap so early in the week and since it's our first uh year doing this and uh we wouldn't want it any other way I think you know you can't do it the easy way I mean that does there's no story in doing it we just went and finished this truck up over 70 miles per hour now racing into the gaster blast well he breaks 70 miles per hour he will pretty cool little truck honestly I like the little ready little brighter look of it and uh I like that he's out here pushing it faster than he's ever pushed it before all right 12 hours back up which means the Cadillac is back up Kyle is first going to raise Cameron and then Matt's gonna take over then I'm going to take over let's see what we can do here uh Kyle was second fastest with a 12 34. about the launch I don't think you have to use launch control I think I'm either gonna do that or I'll just uh I haven't done a burnout yet maybe I'll do that I did do a burnout and launch control do there's your highlights we're gonna improve the third run here today hopefully hopefully we don't have any oil Downs or anything that that prevent that from happening but like it's a good thing I didn't get the manual we would have hell all the time with that all right third round coming up after a few more cars here track what's that it was spinning for like not the truck it was like you were out of the groove they said really yeah yeah you're just way too far to the right okay because it left really good and on the second gear switch it was like dude and then I just felt it going like crew including myself have a racer number here and my brand new 23 ct5 black wig so we're all gonna make a pass in the 12-0 class each day hopefully two we're gonna compete to see who's gonna be the highest in the rankings closest to 12-0 this is over at 11-6 stock 668 horsepower 10-speed automatic and we're gonna see who's gonna get take home the money 250 to whoever is the closest at the end of four days and anybody hits a perfect light reaction time I don't think it's gonna happen I'll give 100 to that I have one more challenge let me go find my friend cam all right so our friend cam here the best DT in the car 875 165. in Florida it only likes to go fast really far from home so this is sort of far hopefully it'll do better but what uh what power is it making then because this thing still weighs what four thousand yeah it's 4 100 pounds okay so what kind of power are we making with it so it's like 14.85 at the tire but I always am a little afraid of breaking it so slowly bring it in the Boost but right now it's probably like 1300 to the tires that's where it's set right now try to solve that problem over there do we have a goal for an ET for the GTL this week I don't want to in two days the motor uh we built it up in Wyoming uh scheduled a Dyno session with Brent brand tuned it on Tuesday and we're here hell yeah yeah what kind of powers it made so we made we made 460 460 bearings and so Brian Tooley racing they hooked us up with bearings and everything we needed so awesome we're spinning them back in and were you guys making just qualifier passes earlier um I would actually run in for my license yeah licensing patch so another guy had said to me that possibly I might be able to turn in my license pass uh before tonight because if it's still a really fast pass yeah so there's a possibility it wasn't in competition but maybe they'd give me a grace period tomorrow so we're gonna at least try to go break a beam tonight being broke and see where we can go when highest in the rankings closest to 12-0 this is over at 11-6 stock 668 horsepower 10-speed automatic and we're gonna see who's gonna get take home the money 250 to whoever is the closest at the end of four days and anybody hits a perfect light reaction time I don't think it's gonna happen I'll give 100 to that I have one more challenge let me go find my friend cam all right so our friend cam here the best DT in the car 875 165. in Florida it only likes to go fast really far from home so this is sort of far hopefully it'll do better but what uh what power is it making then because this thing still weighs what four thousand yeah it's 4 100 pounds okay so what kind of power are we making with it so it's like 14.85 at the tire but I always am a little afraid of breaking it so slowly bring it in the Boost but right now it's probably like 1300 to the tires that's where it's set right now try to solve that problem over there do we have a goal for an ET for the GTL this week I don't want to bearings and so Brian Tooley racing they hooked us up with bearings and everything we needed so awesome we're spinning them back in and were you guys making just qualifier passes earlier um I would actually run in for my license yeah licensing patch so another guy had said to me that possibly I might be able to turn in my license pass uh before tonight because if it's still a really fast pass yeah so there's a possibility it wasn't in competition but maybe they'd give me a grace period tomorrow so we're gonna at least try to go break a beam tonight being broke and see where we can go when don't know I was more than more than a 10 slower yeah and then witty was just a little bit out of the groove so he spun right on the second gear shift right in the third gear shift around the 13-2 so there's your highlights we're gonna improve the third run here today hopefully hopefully we don't have any oil Downs or anything that that prevent that from happening but like it's a good thing I didn't get the manual we would have hell all the time with that all right third round coming up after a few more cars here track what's that it was spinning for like not the truck it was like you were out of the groove they said really yeah yeah you're just way too far to the right okay because it left really good and on the second gear switch it was like dude and then I just felt it going like this like for at least half the track okay yeah at least I didn't get the slowest pass yeah no and then this thing died when I was getting off the track yeah oh my God I was spitting a pun all right this was a show second round we're all gonna improve on the third 30 rounds but we're still where we sat after the first round it's been such a horrible day we're still all within two tenths of each pass nice so you got any more racing to do or is it just race week from here on out uh no uh tomorrow we got our top performer for a Wally abandonment that's an Invitational that me my dad are in really so tonight we're gonna drive the van Damme and I'm gonna sleep in my car and then uh come back to Pueblo in the morning get on Route and drive through the night and hopefully end up in Kearney at nine o'clock in the morning so you're going to Denver coming back here to start the route because I we're pretty I'm guessing it's going to be East hopefully we can we can like do some other route but it's probably not we'll see so we'll do that and then come back we're on a race week and then Saturday Sunday next week we got fall series abandonment this is our last season so we're just why not
