Amazon's latest event has brought to light some exciting new announcements from the tech giant. One of the most notable additions is the launch of Luna Plus, Amazon's gaming streaming service. The Luna Plus channel will feature curated games, including the action thriller Control, which was showcased as one of the big titles. Amazon has partnered with game publishers such as Ubisoft, and it's expected that they'll have their own channels for exclusive content. This partnership is a significant move in the gaming space, and fans are eagerly awaiting more information on the lineup of games and pricing.
The Luna Plus service will cost $4.99 per month, which is relatively affordable compared to similar services from Google Stadia and Microsoft xCloud. However, Amazon hasn't released much pricing information for these other channels yet, so it's unclear how they'll compare in terms of content and features. The upcoming Assassins Creed Valhalla game will be available on the Luna Plus service, as well as other titles that haven't been announced yet.
In addition to gaming news, Amazon has also announced a new smart display called the Echo Show 10. This device will cost $249.99 and boasts a refined video calling experience. The Echo Show 10 features advanced motorized pan and tilt capabilities, allowing it to follow users as they make video calls and keep them in frame. This feature is designed to reduce eye strain and provide a more immersive viewing experience.
The Echo Show 10 also includes a 13-megapixel camera, smart home controls, and a built-in Zigbee hub for connecting low-power devices. The device has a sleek and modern design, which should appeal to those looking for a stylish smart display. Support for multi-party video calls is also being rolled out with the Echo Show 10, making it easier to connect with friends and family remotely.
The Wi-Fi company owned by Amazon, Whole-Home Wi-Fi, is also launching new mesh routers that support Wi-Fi 6. These devices will be able to connect to 75+ devices simultaneously, providing a robust smart home experience. The mesh system allows users to set up points throughout their home to maintain signal strength and coverage in different areas.
Finally, Amazon has upgraded its Guard program, called the Word Guard, to Word Guard Plus. This feature allows smart speakers to detect sounds like glass breaking, footsteps, or doors opening and closing, sending alerts to users. The Word Guard Plus system will also enable hands-free calling to emergency services for those who need assistance quickly.
In conclusion, Amazon's latest event has brought a plethora of exciting new announcements that promise to revolutionize the world of gaming, smart displays, and home automation. From Luna Plus to Echo Show 10, Whole-Home Wi-Fi, and Word Guard Plus, there's no shortage of innovative technology on the horizon. As we move forward, it will be essential to monitor these developments and provide in-depth reviews and analysis to help users make informed decisions about their purchases.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enamazon just announced so many things they usually do this in a fall event and this year was no different they were just rattling off new features and new devices there's an all-new echo that's a sphere now and there's the ring always home camera which is a security camera and a drone that's gonna fly around your place i'm serious that's a device that they announced so we're gonna go over those two and everything else right now so let's start with the ring always home camera which feels like it's almost an april fool's joke but it's real it's a security camera and a drone that's meant to fly through your house on preset paths but amazon is saying the right things that when it's docked it's not recording and it's not going to be spying on anybody because while it's flying it's going to be making a little buzzing sound it's 249.99 so it's 250 bucks it's coming out in 2021 1080p and it's a really cool concept that i am flabbergasted by usually we have some idea of what they're going to announce but my goodness drone camera so in addition to the drone camera that flies through your house ring is announcing three different car products the car alarm the car cam and the car connect the car cam is fairly robust it's meant to shoot both ways simultaneously so it's able to see out the front of your windshield and back to record the cabin of your car and then it'll automatically start recording if it senses an accident or if you give a command that you're being pulled over it responds and uses amazon's assistant and so it can help you capture these events to the cloud without needing a whole lot of input on your part and it is going to require an lte subscription the ring car alarm won't it's just going to be able to attach to a port in your car and then if it detects someone trying to break in like there's movement when there shouldn't be it's going to be able to sound your car's alarms the connect is going to bring these devices into an aftermarket device that's going to plug into the mechanics of your car rig's partnering with tesla on the first version of this but basically it's going to use the car's own systems to do similar functionality of the car alarm and the car cam and amazon's goal here is to work with car manufacturers to have all this stuff built in moving forward to start it's an aftermarket device all right all right enough about ring stuff let's talk the actual amazon stuff and the amazon echo this is not one of the new devices it's the amazon echo dot that i just had sitting around here but they did announce three new echo products the flagship amazon echo is getting a complete design revamp it's spherical it's gonna come in three different colors it looks like a brand new device and they're keeping the price point at a reasonable 100 while integrating some of that adaptive audio they were doing on some of their higher end smart speakers there's going to be a zigbee hub built in so your smart devices will be able to talk directly with your smart speaker so it looks like they're bringing the higher end of their lineup and compacting it into this one device and it's still going to be affordable so the new amazon echo seems like a pretty good deal there's also the new echo dot and the echo dot with clock there aren't a whole lot of details about these yet we know that the dot is 50 the dot with clock is 60 and it looks like they're gonna for the most part have the functions of the existing dot the existing dot with clock except that they're spheres now amazon's moving into the land of spheres for sci-fi reasons i guess i don't know they'd look good and the new design choice could help mix things up there's also a kids edition coming out and those look adorable with some like tiger skins in addition to the devices amazon's rolling out a whole bunch of new functionality for the assistant i'm avoiding saying her name so i don't wake your devices and speaking of the kids edition amazon is going to allow kids profiles now so if it recognizes the voice of your child it will respond with friendly kid-friendly responses so a revamp of amazon's assistant to make it smarter in addition to a whole new echo lineup with spheres neat rolling right along amazon's got the fire tv stick they've had this before it's a very popular product it's now more powerful with a price which is kind of cool it's bringing hdr dolby atmos processing speeds blah blah blah it seems cool but they're also debuting a fire tv stick light which is only 30 bucks still has all the same streaming capabilities and that's a pretty good price point for a streamer and supposedly along with these new devices and the revamped tv stick they're rolling out controls for the assistant to make everything more streamlined and easily understandable and they're rolling out a gaming service to compete with xcloud and stadia it's called luna and how it works is you're going to subscribe to channels like the luna plus channel is one with games curated by amazon one of the big titles they showed off was the action thriller control and they're partnering with game publishers the one they announced was ubisoft and they'll have their own channels so you'll be able to play the upcoming assassins creed valhalla and all of these things on the streaming service and we know that the luna plus is going to cost 4.99 a month which is pretty affordable and they're also debuting a controller for it instead of connecting to a device like the fire tv stick or your phone or wherever you're playing your game the controller is going to connect directly to amazon's cloud services and what they claim is that this will drastically reduce latency which could be really cool if you're playing a competitive multiplayer game and a shooter a latency can make all the difference in getting that headshot and it does seem priced reasonably well to compete with the similar services from google which is stadia and microsoft which is xcloud so it's brand new and it was just announced today and so it's all gonna come down to the lineup of actual games and the performance and we need some more pricing info in terms of those other channels and other game partnerships but the competition in this space can only be a good thing if you're interested in widely available video games amazon has a new smart display called the echo show 10 it's going to cost 249.99 it's going to cost 250 bucks and the big thing is refined video calls because it's gonna sit on a little platform it kind of looks like a facebook portal only with less facebook baggage so good and it's gonna pan and tilt to follow you as you make your video calls so it can keep you in frame and apparently it's not using any facial recognition which is sort of a subtle shot at the nest hub max similar feature facial recognition this one's gonna pan and tilt to follow you along keep you in frame and supposedly they've really done a lot of work on the motor to make that action super silent we'll see we didn't actually get to see it too much in action but it would be cool it would be weird if you're hearing a humming sound when it's trying to do that anyway it's going to have a 13 megapixel camera and it's gonna have a lot of the other stuff that makes the echo show cool and appealing smart home controls it's going to have a built-in zigbee hub so you can connect your low power smart home devices and new smart display kind of a cool refreshed design that should make video calls more interactive and it's going to be rolling out along with support for multi-party video calls all the more important while we're all stuck at home obviously all right bringing it home the wi-fi company that amazon owns is rolling out new mesh routers that work with wi-fi six that means they'll be able to connect to 75 plus devices simultaneously so more robust smart home stuff able to stream on a bunch of devices that's the premise and with mesh you're going to be able to set up the points throughout a large home to keep signal flowing into all different corners and all different rooms this one has a zigbee hub built in so you'll be able to connect your smart home devices it's powered by a usbc port frustration free setup it has auto sensing gigabit ports the devices sound pretty cool if you're looking for that router upgrade and you want that combination of spread mesh signal with the newer innovations of wi-fi six and finally amazon is upgrading the guard program called a word guard to be a word guard plus so what that means is now your smart speaker can detect the sound of say glass breaking and send you an alert now it's going to be in tune for more types of sounds like footsteps when it thinks everybody is sleeping or doors opening and closing and you'll be able to sign up for a monitoring service and be able to make hands-free calls to emergency services and we know this is actually going to roll out to some of amazon's smart home partnerships like abode is upgrading their system with the guard plus so a more advanced home security system built right into your smart speakers seems like a pretty good idea and that will do it that is everything that amazon just announced in their events i am 90 sure i didn't miss a dang thing out of their 18 million various announcements so it was a big event it's exciting it's a little scary having cameras chasing you through the house and spheres i don't know why spheres are scary but follow me along here anyway lots of devices and we're going to be finding out more about them in the coming days and weeks so stay tuned to the channel and look for the reviews once the devices are available thank you for watching if you enjoyed
