Samyang Buldalk MINIš„12,000 SHU HOTTEST Extreme Fire Noodle CHALLENGE -- 7th year anniversary flavor
Welcome to Another Spicy Challenge: Tasting the Samyang Mini Noodle
Greetings my beautiful lovelies, it's Emmy. Welcome back to another spicy challenge. Today, I'm going to be tasting another Samyang noodle. And this one is reportedly the spiciest one yet. Now, this was very kindly sent to me by Kyudo all the way from Korea, thank you so much for sending this to me! I have not seen this here in the US as of yet-- and this is the Samyang Mini.
Now, for my understanding, the noodles are actually smaller, but they are still the spiciest one yet. So, from my understanding, this was issued as a 7th anniversary to the Samyang spicy noodles-- it's Hochi's birthday-- Yay! Happy birthday Hochi! And here's the back. I've got some water going here. Turn on my flame.... So as my water's coming up to a boil, let's go ahead and open one of these up.
So indeed, the noodles are smaller. Whoa, I would say about 2/3 the size of a normal pack of noodles; but they look nice and fat. I am a huge fan of the Samyang-style noodles. There are two packets-- this looks like a little seaweed sesame pack, and this is got the bomb spicy sauce in there. I'm gonna bring these up to a boil, and then we're gonna cook these for about five minutes-- a little less for me because I like my noodles extra bouncy-- and then we're gonna reserve some of that water because that's gonna help make our sauce.
So, what about you? Have you tried the Samyang noodles? Do you have a favorite? They have so many different flavors now. I've tried them all except this one, which is the hottest one. I would have to say the original is way at the very very top for me-- love the original! I like the level of heat as well. It's enough to give it a nice little punchy kick, but not so hot that it's intolerable and then you can't taste anything.
I am also a huge fan of the curry-- I like that one. And what other one do I like? Oh, I also like the carbo! Carbo was delicious! Carbo is short for carbonara. That one was really great, kind of creamy yet spicy, sweet. Okay now got myself craving noodles, okay... So if you're into that and love to see people suffer, you should definitely check out my Spicy Challenge playlist which includes all the Samyang tastings and a couple others including a Tabasco taste test, the Spicy Japanese Curry taste test.
Oh my gosh. That was horrendous. That was one of the few times I actually got sick from one of my cooking show videos. Yes, I have since learned that if I'm gonna taste something spicy that I should not have an empty stomach. Yes, you should have something in there and I also shouldn't drink a lot of whole fat milk. Since I don't drink a lot of milk in the first place and I am a little bit lactose intolerant, that's probably not a good idea.
Yeah... So if you're lactose intolerant, even if you take a lactose enzyme, don't drink a lot of milk because you could have problems. Also, don't eat a ghost pepper chili Japanese curry... You know? That just may be not a good idea... Right.
Now, is this really boiling? This really needs.... I think I might need a new canister of heat here, because it's not really as vigorous as it should be, like.... Also, I'm curious, how you handle heat? Do you like it? Do you find pleasure in it? Do you just like it till your mouth burns, or are you really heat-shy?
Your thoughts on this are totally welcome, and let me know in the comments below if you have any favorite spicy foods.

Do you find pleasure in it?Do you just like it till your mouth burns, or are you really heat-shy?You're just like \"no, black pepper is even just too much.\" Let me know down in the comments below.I like heat.I am NOT one to like suffering, but I do like a good amount of heat. I like cayenne --I have a nice selection of hot sauces in our refrigerator including sriracha, TapatĆo,Lagama,Crystal,One Drop...What else do I got? Yucateco....This is dying. My flame.... is....dyyyying.Alright, it looks like I am almost out of fuel here. My flame is like:*flame turning off sound*It's because I used this canister to cook rosin potatoes, if you haven't seen that video,I'll put the link down below and up above. Alright, I'll finish this on the stovetop.Yes, natural gas is good. You got to see a little bit of that, so.... Ooh, I love how the can gets all cold --that is an endothermic reaction -- quite like that.So I'm gonna drain most of that out of there. I'm gonna leave a little bit....Now I'm gonna add my bomb-diggity sauce here.Look at that -- it comes out like a syrup.Alright every little drop of that out. And that says also to fry this up a little bit.So I just put this over the stove for just about 30 seconds to a minute -- just concentrate the sauce a bit.Oh, it smells so good. Those kind of oniony, chili, sweet.Oh yes! Look how beautiful that is!Okay, so let's eat these while they're hot. They look absolutely beautiful, look how thick the noodles are, look at the sauce.Alright, Samyang mini. Here we go. Itadakimasu!Mmmmmm.Oh! Thatwas good!I would say that's very much like the originalSame kind of chewy noodles, nice and spicyNot as sweet. This seems a little bit more garlic here. Just a tiny bit, but definitely hotter.Delicious!Scrumptious!I think I should have taken these out a little bit earlier. I'd forgotten that this packet was smaller.Alright camera two just turned off and I almost tripped over my step stool. Lovely.I'm definitely feeling like heat -- it's significantly hotter than the original.I wish I'd cook these a little less longer. I overcooked my noodles, which is just a bummer. All righty, here we go.So delicious, though. So, so delicious! Oh boy!Mm-hmm. I'm glad it's a smaller helping becausethat's the hard part. It's like getting through it all.Delicious! It's actually kind of similar to the two times hot NuclearSpicy noodles. It's still hotter though.Do you know it's been said that if you eat spicy things during warm weatherIt makes it feel cooler. Oh now it's getting really hot. It's on my throat, my edge of my lips, the corners of my mouth. My eyes are starting to water.Mm-hmm.I'm gonna grab a spoon.I'm gonna get a spoon so I can get these little pieces. My Camera 2 overheated.....It's too very hot. Oh, my vision is starting to blur because I'm wearing contact lenses, and I am starting to tear up in the corners of my eyes. Oh, yeah, it's not because I'm sad -- it's because this is hot!Yep, that's hot!Okay,I'm going to get a separatenapkin because people seem to be grossed out for whatever reason -- me using my nose --Gotta blow that!to wipe my face, but you know, it's all my goodness so who cares? Anyways, let's keep going, I have like three more bites.Hmm.Whew!And there we have it!Ooh!I'm gonna turn it over and get my eyes now. Oh!As always, this is the same eyeliner as I always wear:it's the Kat Von D. I like it. It doesn't shmear. iI works for my eyes. And yeah, that was a Samyang mini!Definitely the hottest one yet.Don't let the petite size fool you -- it is definitely the spiciest, but delicious!Kyudo, thank you once again for sending this to me all the way from KoreaThis is absolutely delicious.
