Reviewing the E3 Smart Wi-Fi Speaker from ggmm: A Compact and Feature-Rich Device
As I began reviewing the E3 Smart Wi-Fi speaker, I must admit that I had never heard of the company behind it. However, after getting my hands on this compact device, I was impressed by its sleek design, which comes in three colors: pale white, dark gray, and ice blue. The speaker's dimensions are relatively small, making it perfect for use in a bedroom or dining room to add ambient music and style to the space.
The E3 Smart Wi-Fi speaker boasts an alarm clock feature that allows users to wake up to their favorite predefined tracks. It also comes equipped with LED lights to indicate time and doubles as a volume indicator. Although setting the time using the buttons on top is required, rather than being linked to the phone via app, it's still a convenient feature. Unfortunately, when there is direct light shining on the clock face, it can be difficult to see.
The speaker's main party trick lies in its ability to continue streaming music from cloud services such as Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn, and Tidal even when the connected device has died or is outside of Wi-Fi range. To connect the speaker to your internet, simply turn it on and head over to the E3 companion app available for both iOS and Android devices. Once detected by the app, enter your Wi-Fi password, and you'll be connected. The app transforms into a hub for all supporting music streaming services once your phone is linked.
With the speaker's embedded Wi-Fi audio in place, users can store up to six presets of their favorite playlists. However, when playing at full volume and on best quality settings, the audio quality isn't quite as great as expected. The app allows you to reduce the quality based on your Wi-Fi speeds due to some distortion. Despite this, using the speaker for daily listening sessions without blasting music at maximum volumes still yields a pleasant sound with clear separation of instruments.
The E3 Smart Wi-Fi speaker's compact size and affordability make it an excellent choice. The price point is quite reasonable, especially considering its early bird offer of $79 during Kickstarter, which makes it more appealing compared to its full retail price of $150. While it won't be the center of attention like a larger boom box, the speaker fills a room nicely with volume and offers clear audio quality.
The addition of charging capabilities for both iPhones and iPads as well as any USB device through a charging port on the back allows users to keep their devices charged while listening to music. Furthermore, pairing multiple E3 speakers can be done to create multi-room playback experiences or even set up surround sound speakers by linking two units together for left and right audio channels.
In conclusion, this smart speaker offers an impressive array of features at a low price point. While it may not excel in every area, its compact design, clear audio quality, charging capabilities, and affordability make it a solid choice for anyone looking to add ambient music and style to their living space without breaking the bank.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey what's up guys I'm Steve with Cult of mac and today I have got something for you that is hot off the press it's only just been announced on Kickstarter a few days ago but I've got it here to review for you right now so let's get started so this is the E3 Smart Wi-Fi speaker from a company called ggmm I'm not going to lie I had never heard of them either but it's got a really nice compact design and comes in three colors pale white dark gray and this ice blue you see here they're calling this a smart speaker and it's got a a few features in there to hold the smart Title First it's an alarm SL clock so you can wake up to your favorite predefined tracks and it's got these little LED lights to indicate the time and doubles as a volume indicator which is a nice addition to have on a speaker although you have to set the time using the buttons on top it would have been nice if this was connected to the phone via the app to set the alarm on time but no you've got to do it the oldfashioned way also while I'm talking about the clock it's not the brightest so when there is a light pointing directly at the clock it's pretty hard to see the e3's main party trick though is that once it's connected to your phone it can continue streaming music from cloud services such as Pandora Spotify TuneIn and tidle even when your phone has died or gone outside of the Wi-Fi range as the speaker itself connects to your Wi-Fi connecting the speaker to your internet is super easy simply turn the speaker on and head over to the e3's free companion app which is available at both IOS and Android App Stores searching for Wi-Fi then once the app has detected the speaker all you do is enter your Wi-Fi password and you're done once connected the app turns into a hub of all the supportive music streaming services which you can stay connected to once your phone is connected to the speaker and its embedded Wi-Fi audio has picked up your streaming service you can then store up to six presets of your favorite playlists the audio quality is good but not quite great when on full volume and on best quality the app allows you to reduce the quality based on your Wi-Fi speeds there's some Distortion here and there it's not awful and the volume easily fills the room but every now and then on certain notes of certain songs it's just not quite meeting it that being said using the speaker on a daily basis not to blast your songs at full the audio is still very nice it's clean enough to hear every instrument separately instead of them all blending together like on some of the cheaper brand speakers I mean this is a pretty small speaker coming in at a pretty darn low price it's really clear and has tons of Base thanks to a 3-in passive Radiator on top of the streaming capabilities the E3 can also charge iPhones and iPads as well as any USB device for that matter thanks to the charging port on the back there's also the ability to pair it up to other E3 speakers for multi-room playback so you can have the same music playing in your living room and kitchen or even use them as surround sound speakers by pairing two speakers up for the left and right audio channels overall this is a great speaker with tons of functions for a great price for an early bear price of $79 it looks great sounds pretty great and has got enough about it to make it stand out in to say you have bluetooth speakers even after the kickstarter campaign when it's at its full price of $150 it's still a good speaker for the money although if you are interested in the speaker go and pick it up for the $79 on Kickstarter it's a no-brainer let's be honest here it's not going to be the boom box that everyone crowds around at a party but it's not meant to be it's for a bedroom or a dining room to add the ambient music and a bit of style to the room and it does that perfectly well that's it for this video but let me know in the comments down below if this speaker is something you're going to get behind on Kickstarter also let me know if you've actually ever backed anything on Kickstarter in the past if you enjoyed this video go ahead and smash that like button as
