**Quick Toggles and Settings**
The first step in setting up your new smartphone is to familiarize yourself with the quick toggles. These are customizable buttons that allow you to quickly switch between different settings on your phone. The quick toggles include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, Flashlight, Auto Rotate, Battery Saver, Cellular Data, and Airplane Mode.
**Network and Internet Settings**
Let's start from the top of the settings menu and work our way down. Under Network and Internet, you'll find Mobile Data, VPN, Airplane Mode, and Wi-Fi Calling. These settings allow you to customize your phone's network connections and ensure that you have the best possible experience.
**Connected Devices**
Next up are Connected Devices. This section allows you to connect other devices to your phone via Bluetooth or Wireless Print. You can also use USB to connect your phone to a computer or other device. Additionally, this section includes apps and notifications, which we'll cover in more detail later.
**Battery Settings**
Moving on to Battery Settings, you'll find information about the battery's capacity, cycle count, and last charge time. The battery is 42% full with 3,000mAh capacity and has been charged for 21 minutes since the last full charge. This indicates that your phone is well-charged and ready for use.
**Power Saving Manager**
The Power Saving Manager is a feature that helps extend the life of your phone's battery by limiting power consumption when it's not in use. This manager can be customized to suit your needs, allowing you to adjust settings such as screen brightness, auto-lock time, and more.
**Display Settings**
Under Display Settings, you'll find options for customizing the display on your phone. These include Max Brightness, Viewing Angles, Adaptive Brightness, Sleep Timer, and Screen Saver. The Display Settings also allow you to adjust font size, display size, and add a screen saver with a clock.
**Sound Settings**
The Sound Settings are where you'll customize the sound experience on your phone. This includes options for adjusting alarm volume, ring tone, and speaker settings. You can also enable Sound Enhancement and add bass to the speaker for a more immersive audio experience.
**Storage Settings**
Under Storage Settings, you'll find information about the available storage capacity on your phone. In this case, we have 32GB of storage with only 9GB in use. This section also provides a readout of how much storage is being used and offers tips for managing storage space.
**Security and Location Settings**
The Security and Location Settings are designed to protect your personal data and provide peace of mind when using your phone. These settings include Find My Device, Security Updates, Screen Lock, Face Key, Fingerprint Sensor, Android Smart Lock, User Accounts, Accessibility Features, Google Services, and Systems.
**Gesture Control**
If you're interested in trying out gesture control, now is the time to do it. This feature allows you to interact with your phone using hand gestures, such as jumping to the camera or switching between apps.
**Operating System**
The final setting we'll cover is the operating system. In this case, our phone runs on Android 8.1. We can test out some of the features by opening up YouTube and pulling up a video. This will give us an idea of how the display looks and how the speaker sounds.
**Additional Features**
Finally, let's take a look at some additional features that are available to us as Cricket Wireless subscribers. In this case, we have access to listings for Cricket Wireless authorized retailers within 2 miles. We can select one of these retailers to visit in person or purchase our new phone online.
