The Transcription of a Video: A Look at the iPod Touch and iPhone Keyboard for 3.0 Firmware

Before we begin, I'd like to take a moment to mention that the person who made this video is also an Apple iHelp expert, doing Mac application reviews, iPhone iPod application reviews, giveaways, and has recently started up a new site. Hey guys, how's it going? It's Brandon here, BB's iPod touch up, and today I'll be making a video regarding the iPod touch and iPhone keyboard for the 3.0 firmware. Now, I know that in all previous versions of firmwares, starting from 1.1.3 maybe even 1.1.1, we were able to customize the color and looks of our keyboard. And let me tell you, it was a really cool mod - everybody loved it! Everyone wanted the option to customize their keyboard because, obviously, it looked cool.

I also recall back in 2.2.1 when I had this thing called Blue Glass Keys; when you clicked on it, made like a big blue um like a um kind of a zoomed-in up top, when you clicked on it, it showed a big picture of it up top. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then that's fine, don't worry about it. The main point is just having pretty much color keyboards, like any color besides what the regular comes with. Unfortunately, this does not work with the 3.0 firmware.

I've got the only reason I'm making this video is because I've gotten at least 100 people ask me I've gotten 100 emails or messages on YouTube asking me U how to change the color of the keyboard how to mod the uh keyboard how to customize keyboard on 3.0 um, and unfortunately, it does not work for the 3.0. Now they said it wasn't going to work for the 3.0 because there was a u some kind of problem or U error in the reading for the 3.0 firmware where you couldn't jailbreak it and obviously customized doesn't work anymore but there is other features you could change like your slider text and all that stuff, but an option that's not in there is keyboard so that's a big um that's a big downfall to that.

I believe that in 3.1 they said that they're going to come about the keyboards and try to fix that because obviously there's a lot more than just people on YouTube that are wanting the keyboards, a lot of mods and every a lot of not mods what am I thinking um a lot of people from websites and stuff and obviously the makers of the keyboards want them to work on 3.0 because there is 3.0 keyboards or not 3.0 but there is keyboards in Cydia but they just don't work for 3.0 uh firmware unfortunately.

So, I Believe by 3.1 firmware which should be releasing um probably within the next month I would say um definitely look for those they will be coming out with new keyboards new mods for the keyboards and everything um this was regards to all those people that were asking me I've gotten hundreds of emails and stuff about it so um there's your video for you guys expected in 3.1 it does not work for 3.0 U as of now and I don't see it being fixed but three but be prepared when 3.1 and 3.1 jailbreak comes out be prepared for there to be keyboards so you can mod the keyboard up on your iPod Touch or iPhone that's it guys thanks for watching I'll catch you guys later see you
