manufacturer price is about $60 so we'll take a look and see what kind of merit these have are they good because I think they are the specs on paper this thing looks really really good for $60 you are getting so much and compared to the earpods it seems like these are overpriced well the real ones for the air pods today we're gonna take a look at this customer wrapped version of the air pods by slick rap they sent me these for free just thought you should know that's but their latest skins so I'll be using this as kind of a reference the real ear pods versus Sean these air dots just the name gets me I don't know air dots who thought of it I like it I like it but who thought of that and from what I know I did some research on this bad boy basically we've got bluetooth 4.2 a selling point that they use is that these are ultra light these weigh five point eight grams air pods the real deal one air pod is four grams so they're pretty close I mean that's not even 2 grams why can't I get this open so I don't like the packaging the packaging is a little fussy messy compared to the air pods they don't have that down but what do we got here I got to say without even touching them I appreciate that aluminum the bevel right there the bezel looks kind of cool something different so they're not trying to be ear pods completely in design the overall structure of its the casing it's very reminiscent of air pods but it's still its own thing which is something you can appreciate the true test will be if they sound good you know because everything else looks good on paper $60 what a steal okay so he's got a case with the lights now I didn't see if this has a wireless charging that would be something yeah so I don't think this has a wireless charging on it it does have a pairing button over here has all the FCC labeling or their local ones and it's just ugly whoever did that's not a good look you definitely use a wrap like this on one of these bad boys err pawns have nothing to hide okay you've got USB see on the bottom which is good nothing should be coming out with anything less than USB see in 2019 let's take a look at these bad boys so wow they are lights for the size they are very light I guess that stands true there are a little larger than air pods let's take a look size comparison here so the stem part is a little thicker as you can see Wow very big difference so you've got a microphone input right there it's not built into the grills I like the design I do like that like they're standing out in a way it's also an in-ear headphone this is a completely different technology they've actually got writing on this - how ugly is that I don't like the branding like the little tiny stuff like this why but I guess like legally they have to have it what else we got inherit cables and documentation which no one is probably gonna read all right so let's let's see how these look so the stem part is a little thick I don't like that they do have charging ports on the bottom and that's a bit unsightly honestly like the bottom of Apple's looks really nice it's designed well this is this almost seems like an afterthought like they didn't want to finish that it works it's the charging port you know they have to have that there I've personally never been a fan of these in-ear headphones but if they get the sound across you know that's all that matters really they're comfortable Wow we'll see we're gonna do the jump rope test today to see if these can stay in my ears like earbuds can oh yeah oh yeah baby so they've got the magnet down those are not going anywhere very very strong magnets I like that case case test ooh I could I could see that working like a yeah hey want some Xiaomi air dots Pro there you go I can't do that with my ear buds yeah no way so he's like fling up and almost cool I like that all right so we've got these and how do we connect this now bluetooth list longer than a CVS receipt but let's see if we can add these I'm assuming we're just gonna hold this button until it pops up over here they definitely do a much better job of noise isolation versus air pods so these in the way do not shield from noise at all and these like put you in a little bubble in your head I like that so these also have something they're calling adaptive pairing each one of these is its individual Bluetooth device and they work independently of each other so you can play music on both while taking them out which is a neat feature that they thought about that some Bluetooth headphones don't think about that so like you can see there's a lot of engineering that's went into these to make these like there's a lot of thought in the software and I appreciate that but it'd be nice if I can connect to it at first okay now we are connected they show up as me true wireless earphones alright they have some cool sound effects that uh that a Bozize new song is actually pretty good they're very atmospheric I'll tell you that like you can actually hear those little details that you miss with air pods let's go louder 80% Wow I'm genuinely very surprised and all the way yeah so listen in a way they remind me a lot of the Bose comfort quiets or quiet comforts they've got that atmospheric feeling down like I'm hearing those details that I usually wouldn't theropods sound quality alone I'm sold nothing to worry about there let's turn on something punchy we can get some bass in here but from just the details on this song I love it so you can always tell how good headphones are if you turn them all the way up and it's not necessarily that they're blasting loud in your ears so you can make out those little details those subtleties that you otherwise would have missed with an inferior headphone product and with this I can tell you like it's not blaringly loud but it's very detailed okay well this is charging let's mention a couple other things so in the box they have some other fitment tips if those stock ones that come on that don't fit well you can adjust those a couple other things that I appreciate it I haven't even got to you there's a lot this product has a lot of depth to it it's also water-resistant and I'm seeing waterproof being thrown around online but it's not true it's an IP x4 rating which from my understanding of looking it up that just means it can be splashed on all sides with no harming effect and nightcore completely independent company basically follows the same standard and their product they'd have to splash it for five minutes with ten liters per minute and the product would be okay so in a way this is almost the same rating as everyone this is almost the same rating as air pods these don't officially have a rating but they are water-resistant splash resistant to an extent so I feel like it'd be very similar but hey will will splash it to see if it works after I'll test that claim since they're using it as a marketing term lightweight and portable touch control active noise cancellation at Tru Wireless true Wireless this interesting thing about these pods or air dots dots Pro is that they have bluetooth 4.2 but not only that it's the chip they're running these are running Qualcomm official chip for audio and for Bluetooth connection it's a single chip audio platform basically an all-in-one chip that's a standard and that's a very cool thing to see in a way it's like Qualcomm is version of the w1 or w-2 chip in air pods and that's very cool to see so these have a lot of innovation a lot of things going for them which as $60 is a steal alright so check this out if you actually go on ebay where they're being resold right now these people are basically buying these at market value $60 and reselling them because these are a genuinely product for a very good price and the scalping it's a bit ridiculous double the price basically but I would say 70 to 80 dollars for these I would say that's not a bad deal at all for what you're getting still like half the price of air pods but a lot of value a lot of a lot of value for sure and at 100 1510 there's a 105 option I don't know maybe just wait out until the price comes down a little bit these are good things man I I can already tell made by a very big company you can tell the quality is very nice the case to an extent is snappy you can its just genuinely very good quality like that's all I'm gonna say I can tell there's almost no Distortion the very high volumes is very legible in a way the different audio layers you can literally almost discern all of them individually like that's the sign of a good well-made sound and the isolation is very good like I can barely hear anything outside so definitely sound quality a solid thumbs up let's uh let's take this further and just see everything else so for me it's very important to be able to exert physical activity and not have these fall out of my ears so I guess we're gonna make a new standard and that's the jump roping test see if these will stay in your ear during okay so casual joking I'm gonna try it and like move my body more right ones coming out hanging on for dear life there it goes so I'd say holds decently and I'm sure with the attachments you can get a better fit but you know I'm moving I could see during running not bad it works definitely better than that Louie Vuitton ones that I tested there goes that one again all right well it stays not bad so and it's always hard to talk after that but it's good I would say they're not terrible with a proper fit if I actually took the time to open this up I'm just too lazy battery life is not too bad so we have about 10 hours in the case as opposed to apples which are 24 hours on the case and the individual time of the air dots is 4 hours these are five hours on apples and these have a rapid charge feature where they'll charge up in 15 minutes you'll get several hours I don't know if these have it but it doesn't seem like it because they're dying I repeatedly have to keep charging them to keep this review going and check this out something I didn't even realize but the air dots have a little LED on the individual air dots it's very subtle hit it in the plastic I like these so much more now because of that that's so neat anyways let me explain this in the left ear I have the air dots in the Wrights the air pod I'm gonna play the same song and we're gonna walk the same distance from the from the iPhones here actually let me try something first so I'm gonna play this song at the same time on both that's so weird different types of qualities in both ears but definitely this one is more immersive this one is a little sharper and louder but this one is more immersive definitely definitely would choose this one
