AMD RAVEN RIDGE Ryzen 5 And Ryzen 3 With Vega Graphics UNBOXING

Unboxing AMD's Ryzen 5000 Series Processors with Radeon Vega Graphics

Hello everyone, Marco Chiappetta here for Hot Hardware, and I'm excited to give you a quick look at an interesting box from AMD. As you can see, it has a big rise in logo and up top, we have the Radeon Vega graphic. It's no secret what's inside this box, but let's take a closer look.

First, let's pop it open and lift up the lid. Inside, we find some promotional materials from AMD, which is telling us what's inside the box. We have two Ryzen 5000 series processors: the Ryzen 9 5200G and the Ryzen 5 3200G. The packaging looks nice, with plenty of details about each processor.

Let's take a closer look at the Ryzen 5 3200G first. As you can see, there's some rice inside, which seems to be a typo or a clever marketing move by AMD. Moving on, we find that this must be the Ryzen 9 5900X, also known as the Rison processor. It comes with a Radeon Vega graphics card onboard, which is a nice bonus.

In addition to the processors, we also have some other goodies inside the box. We have drivers and a press kit, along with an AMD-branded flash drive. There's also a 16GB G.Skill Flare X memory kit that's been qualified to work well with these processors. And if that's not enough, we also have a Gigabyte A350N Gaming Wi-Fi Mini ITX motherboard.

This motherboard is actually the one we saw demoed at AMD's tech day back at CES. It was one of the first boards to showcase the Ryzen 5000 series processors and Radeon Vega graphics. We haven't set it up yet, but let me show you what's inside these little boxes. Hold on for a moment while I switch camera angles.

Okay, so I've popped open a few boxes here, and this is one of the Rison 5900X processors I left the Ryzen 5 3200G in the box because it would look exactly the same on camera. It's an AM4 processor that fits into existing AM4 motherboards, just like its predecessor. Alongside the processor, you have the Radeon Vega graphics card onboard, which is a great bonus.

We also find a cool little case badge included with each processor, and some heat sinks come in the box. These aren't the lighted Wraith coolers we've seen before; instead, they're standard aluminum heatsinks with thermal interface material provided. The screws for the motherboard are right on top of it, making installation easy.

Speaking of the motherboard, here's the Gigabyte A350N Gaming Wi-Fi Mini ITX board that we saw demoed at CES. It has a nice metal-reinforced graphics slot and an Intel Wi-Fi controller, plenty of I/O options in general. However, we haven't fired it up yet; I've just opened the boxes to give you a quick unboxing and tour of the hardware.

Don't worry, though - we'll be getting this stuff installed and set up soon. Be sure to stop by Hot Hardware next week for the full scoop, including benchmarks and overclocking results. In the meantime, I hope you've enjoyed this quick unboxing of AMD's Ryzen 5000 series processors with Radeon Vega graphics.
