Apple is Already Here: What We Can Expect from iOS 18
It's hard to believe that September has already arrived, and with it comes the news that Apple will soon be releasing iOS 18 to the general public. As we wait for the official release, it's time to dive into what we can expect from this upcoming operating system update.
Apple's Event: A Look at What's Coming
We all know that Apple will be holding their event on September 9th at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Big things are expected, and we can expect the iPhone 16, 16 Pro, and Apple Watch 10 to make an appearance. Additionally, there may be new AirPods in the mix as well. At these events, Apple typically launches the first RC (release candidate) for the next major operating system, so it's likely that iOS 18 RC will be announced during or after this event, along with release to developers and public beta testers.
When Can We Expect the RC?
According to our source, we can expect to see the RC for iOS 18 on September 9th, just seven days from today. This means that the final bug fixes are likely to happen around this time, before the official release a few days later. Our source has always said that it could be sometime in September, with September 16th being a potential date for Apple's iPhone event and the official release of iOS 18.
Latest Bugs and Issues
There have been some reports of bugs and issues within the latest iOS 18 developer beta. One issue is where apps are suddenly disappearing from the home screen for some iPhone users. Our source hasn't encountered this issue, but it seems that some users on Reddit are reporting similar problems. Another issue is with FaceTime when calling family members - facetimes are choppy, and airpods keep disconnecting. There's also an issue with Bluetooth when in a call on FaceTime.
Experiences on Older Devices
When running the latest iOS 18 beta on one of the oldest iPhones to support it, our source has had a smooth experience so far. However, some users are reporting issues with the control center on older devices - some report glitchy control centers and overall choppy experiences.
Will There Be Another Beta?
With only two days left until Apple's event, there's still a chance that we might see another beta release this week. Our source doesn't think it's likely, but anything can happen when it comes to software releases. If another beta does come out, it will probably be released around the same time as the RC.
What Do You Think?
Are you excited about iOS 18? There are definitely some features that users are looking forward to, but there are also some concerns about the stability and performance of the new operating system. Some users are choosing to stick with their current operating system, iOS 17, while others are eager to try out the latest updates. What do you think about iOS 18? about what we can expect moving forward will Apple release another beta when will Apple release the RC SLR candidate and what are some of the latest bugs being reported by you guys on the latest IOS 18 developer beta 8 so let's go ahead and Dive Right In so we already know that Apple will be holding their event on September the 9th at 10:00 a.m. Pacific big time and at this event Apple will be unveiling the iPhone 16 16 Pro most likely the Apple watch 10 the Apple watch Ultra third generation and perhaps new airpods as well now at these events Apple typically also launches the first rc for the next major operating system so iOS 18 RC this year will most likely be announced during or after this event in release to developers and public beta testers so on September the 9th 7 days from today we'll most likely see the RC for iOS 18 before the official release now I want to talk about some of the latest bugs within iOS 18 developer beta 8 now some users over on Reddit are reporting issues where apps are suddenly disappearing from the home screen for some iPhone users now I haven't encounter this issue myself but it looks like some users are encountering issues where some apps just completely disappear from their home screen now an issue that I have been encountering on the latest beta is issues with FaceTime when FaceTiming with family members facetimes are choppy I'm having issues even airpods are constantly disconnecting when I'm on a FaceTime call which is kind of annoying I'm not sure if this has anything to do with Bluetooth issues or FaceTime itself but there's some issues with FaceTime and airpods and Bluetooth when in a call on FaceTime on the latest beta now some users also report issues on older devices in the control center so I've been running the latest beta on this iPhone 11 one of the oldest iPhones to support iOS 18 and I have to say my experience with iOS 18 on older devices has been buttery smooth at least over the past two betas things are looking pretty good but some users report glitchy control center I can't say that I'm having any glitches here as you can see everything is buttery smooth on this iPhone so I'm happy to report that at least on my end things are looking pretty good on older devices but some users are reporting a choppy Control Center and a choppy experience overall with the latest IOS 18 developer B beta 8 now will we see another beta before the official release and or the RC well today is September the 2nd so we're about 7 days away from Apple's event and therefore perhaps the first rc for iOS 18 and if Apple was to release another beta obviously it would be this week iOS 18 developer beta 9 although I don't see that happening Anything Could Happen perhaps Apple may need to fix something before the RC we'll have to wait and see but I think if they were going to release something it will most likely happen on September the 9th right after the iPhone event of the RC with final bug fixes and then the official release I've always said that it could be sometime in September mid to late September so I've always said September the 16th Apple's iPhone event is going to be on September the 9th I think 7 days later on September the 16th is when Apple will officially release iOS 18 to everyone worldwide so just keep in mind that if we do see another beta which I don't see happening it will happen obviously this week RC most likely during or after the iPhone event on September the 9th and the official release a few days later I'm guessing September the 16th and those are some of the latest bugs and issues with the latest IOS 18 developer beta AIDS what to expect moving forward let me know if you're excited in regards to iOS 18 because I know a lot of users are looking forward to
