The Review of Silent Base 600 Windowed Edition Case
I've had the opportunity to take a closer look at the Silent Base 600 Windowed Edition case, and I must say it's quite impressive. The first thing that caught my attention was the sound dampening system, which is designed to eliminate any sound transmission through the window. It features a buffer zone in the middle, making it extra thick and rigid, ensuring that it adds to the structural integrity of the frame. This innovative design feature takes care of the noise issue that's often associated with cases having windows, making it a great option for those who value quiet operation.
As I took a closer look at the case, I noticed the thickness and rigidity of the panel, which is a result of the added bends in the frame. This structural integrity is essential for keeping the dust and debris out, ensuring that your components remain safe and protected. The use of plastic on the CU (which I'll get to later) was a nice touch, as it provides an extra layer of protection and durability.
Moving on to the main chamber of the case, I was pleased to see the drive cages, which are removable for easy access and additional airflow. This is perfect for those who like to mod their cases or add more fans to enhance cooling. The motherboard tray has a nice lip to keep it in place, while the power supply area has plenty of space for air to flow through. I also appreciated the use of honeycomb filters and vents to improve airflow.
One of the standout features of this case is its ability to accommodate long graphics cards, thanks to the lack of a secondary cage. This means that users can install their longest graphics card they desire without any issues. The power supply area has plenty of space for most of the cables, which is always a welcome sight. However, I did notice some color inconsistencies, particularly with the American flag-like design on some of the USB headers.
Looking underneath the case, I was impressed by the substantial feet that elevate it and provide excellent airflow. These feet are designed to breathe, allowing cool air to flow through while keeping dust and debris out. If you decide to add fans or a secondary fan, there's plenty of room to do so, which can help enhance cooling.
In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed testing the Silent Base 600 Windowed Edition case. Its sound dampening system, added structural integrity, and excellent airflow make it an excellent choice for those who value quiet operation and effective cooling. While I did notice a few minor issues with color consistency and ventilation, these are easily overlooked in light of the case's overall quality.
If you're looking for a new case that checks all the right boxes, I highly recommend considering the Silent Base 600 Windowed Edition. Its features, design, and build quality make it an excellent option for builders and enthusiasts alike. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enall righty guys so a lot of you have praised Bai for their first entrance to the case market with the silent base 8800 here we have the second interation of that which a lot of you have already heard about so much a silent base 600 window Edition so let's go ahead and check it out looking at the case guys the overall aesthetic is very similar if not identical to the 800 uh similar front similar lines a few changes here and there but mostly it's been slimmed down from not so much of a full tower size to more midsize Tower and they've improved a bit as far as Silence has a lot of the same uh you know sound dampening features which we'll get to so let's go ahead and uh check her out so looking at the front guys very similar aesthetic as I said uh you open up your little door here you have some sound dampening sound dampening all within the front you have a bit of an intake here with yes an intake filter there you go I believe you have a 140 mm pure Wings two fan there in the front 5 and 1/4 in Baye door closes just like that kind of a faux brushed aluminum very nice to see that a lot of case manufacturers are jumping on that uh aesthetic and it looks good you know you get that nice clean modern look without the chance of fingerprints or just also cutting down on cost and the side facing me very clean the Finish overall in the case guys isn't overly glossy it's got a slight like eggshell kind of Sheen as a matter of fact that's exactly what I would call it I would call it totally eggshell which I'm sure that's not a term they use that's more for paint but that's why would compare it to it's not fully matte but it's very very nice not a huge finger PR pregnant finger pregnant magnet let's go with that so not a huge fingerprint magnet good Lord and uh yeah see very similar aesthetic here this would normally be a vent I don't believe this is removable besides it's the side panel that you're not going to be removing anything from but it does have a plethora of let's go ahead and remove it sound dampening look at that very nice to see so we got this side panel off let's just go ahead and check out the rear this would not be quite the rear but the side uh that you would normally face away from you they have uh pre-tied down a lot of your cables here very nice to see Drive cage area 5 and 1/ inch Bay Area about a good inch or so of uh Cable Management uh room space here very nice uh SSD bracket mounts whatever you'd like to call them huge cutout very nice to see and just yeah very all overall pretty rigid the grommets here very nice I like these kind of little flappy rectangle ones versus what I guess the little triangly ones I guess it doesn't really matter as long as the quality of the rubber is good cuz if not then they'll just be brittle over time and break or just be so flimsy that it just pops out I hate it when these things pop out when you're doing your cable management it's like what's the point but it's uh yeah it's good to see that they are of good quality and you have plenty of them as well looking at the top here really quick guys huge power button which feels okay it's good enough it's not the most Pleasant feeling power button in the world but it's all right uh lots of iio you have USB 3.0 I believe two of those and two 2.0 and your headphone microphone Jack now up here I believe this does uh hold up to a 280 mm rat at the top but regardless of what it holds I'm not sure if I like or dislike or just you know love or hate the whole vent here the I think the 800 had even more minimal venting here in the front in the top rather the case so they've improved it a little bit but it's so minimal that even if you have this as exhaust I'd probably just put fans I don't know maybe it wouldn't be impeded so much by it but it does have back here in the back this is totally upside down now this is really smart but the uh top rear has a bit of a vented area here so you still have extra venting here of the back and from the top just not sure I mean testing only testing is going to prove that and I'm sure some have already tested that but if I ever get a nice big 240 or 280 something mm uh Rat rad then I'll surely uh look into it so looking at the rear guys pure Wings two fanan 140 mm as exhaust typical fair with your expansion slots 1 2 3 4 5 67 little bit of a vented area here let's see that lot in a lot of cases bottom mountain power supply with a included filter would have been nice to see that coming out from the side I don't know I mean so many people have already hinted on that for many cases in the past that's not not a big deal but if it bothers you to have to move your you're going to have to if you have it tucked up against a wall something you're you're not going to probably have this super open in the back you're going to have enough to reach you know enough of an open area here by a wall to reach and put your IO in and whatever else you need but not so much as to pull this all the way out but whatever I don't know if they can do that without maybe ruining some aesthetic here on the side perhaps then yeah they should do it any case manufacturer should so now for time for the P the rezy stal the side panel which I thankfully already have the screws off no flubs this time now I think I didn't even show the flex of the other one but not much Flex in these panels however the other side panel has a minimal amount of flex no big deal nothing for me to complain about it's like expected this you would think that with this huge cutout of a window it would have more Flex it has less if not any like I can't bend and I'm not going to force it cuz I certainly don't want to break it however the reasoning for that is it's a thick window but for more than one reason it's double ply dual ply it's got a buffer zone in the middle bit of air think of a studio the control room on one side with all your recording equipment mixer stuff you know the guy your producer and the other side of the studio past that big glass with it's poly composite you know or glass whatever you want to use uh but you have buffer zones of air in between so it absorbs sound then no sound passes through it's a lot of sound dampening so that is eliminating even though it's got a window it doesn't have any sound actually doesn't have any sound dampening I thought maybe there was some around it but being that a lot of cases with Windows sacrifice noise you know sound dampening to have that window because you it may resonate with a bit of the noise a bit more things like that but this is taking care of that with a buffer zone in the middle so it's extra thick and I think that's also adding to the rigidity of this Frame of this panel if not it would just be Flex City yeah but yeah this is great to see it's thick it's got a lot of bends here to add to the structural Integrity so that is awesome and yeah it still has the uh CU I'm OCD deal with it still has a plastic on it I'll take it off temporarily you guys want me to take it off yeah that's all I'm going to do sorry that's it you got to get the case to find out all right fine I'll do it oh I can feel the static building up in my hands ouch all righty so now that we finally on the main chamber of the case you got your drive cages none of these excuse me the 5 and a/4 inch Bay doesn't know not removable the drive cage down here seems to be yes this is removable you want to get more air flow just more space you want to mod I don't know whatever you'd like to do it is removable you have all your vented area honeycomb stuff down here thanks to that filter motherboard area power supply a little bit of a lip here to hold it in place and yeah just very spacious guys and look at all this room you don't even need to remove a cage cuz it has no cage here the absence of a secondary cage here allows you to put basically the longest graphics card you can think of you want to put a Titan X XL which it's never going to exist but it'll fit in here all your cables which is nice most of them are black but again a few atrocities again be quiet you know you have your top tier power supplies lot of them still have mustard and ketchup in them I would remedy that but I believe you guys already are I've heard something from the Great Vine but uh yeah USB you got some ketchup mustard you know American flag thing going on there still with some colors but no big deal you're USB 3.0 and most of the little headers and whatnot they're all pretty much black so you're not going to have much of a conflict there now looking underneath not a huge story to uh you know talk about here but I want to look at the feet the feet are pretty substantial they're very rigid they have some nice firm soft kind of an in between uh Rubber and I thought I turned off my audio which I was about to break something if I did the feet they're pretty tall going to give you lot nice of uh lots of air flow rather down here so yeah the underneath you have uh pretty substantial feet to really Elevate the case and help with the air flow underneath here if you decide to put some fans well for one the power supply to breathe but if you decide to put a secondary fan here probably another you know pure wings it looks like yeah 120 or 140 you can probably situate right there it looks like yep and you can suck in some wire from the bottom cooler air for the rest of the case to enjoy so yeah there you go guys the silent base 600 windowed Edition all blacked out in this case it's not the one of the accented versions but you guys do have options there if you'd like a little bit more flare to your case and yeah so that has been a look at that I love the case the overall I give it a you know I gets an Ami book but a few things that uh again I'd still like to test like the ventilation up here not sure how much that's going to be hindered as far as the how the vents have been made but uh overall I love the 800 never personally had one but just overall looking at its features and whatnot it's everyone really praise that the 600 I think is passing with flying colors as well in my book but uh yeah let let us know in the comments Below guys what you think but also first off you know visit the website tech.com talk Us in the Forum let us know what you think of this if you already
