Adam Savage Unboxes The Mandalorian 1_4 Scale Figure!

Unboxing Sideshow's Mandalorian Collectible Figure

Hey guys, Adam here at Tested, and I'm super excited to show you this amazing gift from Sideshow Collectibles. This is an unsponsored review, but they did give it to me, and I'm thrilled to share my thoughts on this incredible piece. As a nerd collector of all things Star Wars-related, I'm in for a treat.

The outer box of Sideshow's One Quarter Scale Mandalorian Figure is a work of art in itself. The packaging is sleek and modern, with a matte finish that showcases the intricate details of the figure. The lid opens to reveal the figure standing proudly on a pedestal, surrounded by a halo of light. As I lift the lid, I'm greeted by the sweet scent of polyurethane foam, which is sure to bring back memories of those early days of collecting.

As I carefully remove the figure from its packaging, I notice the level of detail that Sideshow has achieved. The Mandalorian's armor is intricately painted with a matte finish, giving it a realistic look that rivals any production model. The facial features are equally impressive, with a subtle expression that suggests a hint of mischief. I can already tell that this figure is going to be a real showstopper.

The first thing that strikes me about this figure is the weight and heft of it. It's substantial, which immediately tells me that Sideshow has not skimped on quality. The packaging materials are top-notch, with thick cardboard and bubble wrap protecting the figure during transit. I take a moment to appreciate the engineering that goes into creating these intricate pieces, marveling at the level of detail and craftsmanship that has gone into every aspect of this collectible.

As I examine the figure more closely, I notice the clever use of articulation points. The arms, legs, and torso are all highly poseable, allowing me to recreate some of my favorite scenes from the Mandalorian series. The helmet is also surprisingly flexible, with a subtle movement that suggests it's actually alive. I'm impressed by the level of thoughtfulness that Sideshow has put into designing this figure.

One of the standout features of this figure is the ambient rifle. It's a gorgeous piece in its own right, with intricate details and textures that make it look almost too real to handle. I remember building my own replica a couple of years ago, but Sideshow's version is on an entirely different level. The way the light catches the metal surface is simply stunning, casting a warm glow over the entire figure.

As I continue to explore the figure, I notice a little pin hidden in the cape. It's a clever touch that suggests there was some kind of design challenge or engineering puzzle that Sideshow had to overcome. Whatever the reason, it's clear that they've achieved something truly remarkable here. The paint job is flawless, with an oily burnt metal look that adds depth and dimensionality to the figure.

After removing the pram from its packaging, I'm struck by its sheer size and detail. It's a masterpiece of engineering, with intricate textures and patterns that make it feel almost alive. I love the way the light catches the surface, casting a warm glow over the entire piece. The receiver for the pram is cleverly designed, with a subtle curve that makes it fit seamlessly into the figure.

The Growoo head is another highlight of this collectible. It's a stunning piece in its own right, with soft, expressive features that bring the character to life. I'm particularly impressed by the way the facial expression changes depending on the angle – it's almost like the child is looking directly at me. The level of detail is incredible, from the furrowed brow to the glistening eyes.

As I continue to examine the figure, I notice a little something that caught my eye earlier on – a glyph hidden in the cape. It's a clever touch that suggests there was some kind of design challenge or engineering puzzle that Sideshow had to overcome. Whatever the reason, it's clear that they've achieved something truly remarkable here.

In conclusion, Sideshow's Mandalorian Collectible Figure is an absolute masterpiece. The level of detail and craftsmanship that has gone into every aspect of this piece is simply stunning. From the ambient rifle to the Growoo head, every part of this figure has been meticulously designed to capture the essence of the character. I'm deeply impressed by Sideshow's engineering prowess, not just from a technical standpoint but also from an aesthetic one.

As someone who's spent countless hours immersed in Mandalorian costuming, it's clear that Sideshow has truly outdone themselves here. The figure is not only beautifully crafted but also incredibly poseable, with clever articulation points that allow me to recreate some of my favorite scenes from the series. I'm already planning where this piece will be displayed – next to my Gentle Giant sculpture of the child in a chair.

To Sideshow Collectibles, I extend my sincerest gratitude for sharing this incredible piece with me. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality are truly inspiring, and I have no doubt that this figure will become an iconic piece in any Star Wars collection. May your company continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in collectible engineering, and may your passion for the craft never waver.

That's all for now – thanks for tuning in, and I'll see you next time!

go  and find out what the new cardboards are in the printing process i'm totally sure there is okaywhat is hey here's a question i have for the comments what is the industry term for  these little tab flaps because i hate them i know they're good and useful but i hate them  but what is the term for these what are they called let me know okay so uh tip this overwhen you're getting collectibles i throw out almost all of my boxes but i keep the  collectibles boxes because if you ever if you ever want to transfer ownership the boxes are by far  the best way to transport these large delicate objects because the people at sideshow have  already figured it out for you come on i'm working against both friction and air pressure okay whewhere's one for oddly satisfyingone of my favorite subredditsall rightall right we have about a half dozen parts here oh including the pram ohi love that smell of factory off-gassing pvc and styrofoam it's a real thing all right so i'm just  going to start pulling out parts and laying them out we've got a mandalorian arm there oh look  at that the detail in the gauntlet's gorgeous the paint is lovely okay the weathering on the gloves  gorgeous that hand pad seems just a tiny bit large to me all right let's  see oh oh we're going to save that for last those are the heads here comes another armbeautifulhere is the bodyoh gosh i really do love the smell of off-gassing plastic i shouldn't it's not survival oriented but  damn look at that is the gun removable it looks like it's almost removable okay i'm not going  to pull on it until i check um absolutely lovely every detail of the suit is here  oh yeah he's already used one of his um whatever you call those grenades the mag charge isn't that  what that's called um beautiful bottomuh gorgeous gorgeous colors beautiful layout number 2288 of 7 500.  all right let's see how this goes this guyis it that way it's definitely not that and it's definitely not that so it's either that  yeah that's what it is all right yeah look he's significantly turningooh magnetiche looks pretty armless mean that joke more than once on this channel uh all right now we've  got a cape good god they made a resin cape oh deuteronomy wow oh you can't even put the head on  until you put the cape on okay i'm i'm just gonna point out that from a manufacturing standpointthat's incrediblei'm not even sure what it's made of but they use it for engineering in this figure and you'll see  how it's absolutely gorgeous but i mean just that the flow of that and the fact  that it's totally rigid that's pretty amazing all right so that comes in herecome on cooperatethere we go nice oh look at that okay that right there watch theresomebody lost sleep over that my hat is off to themhe should have quit while he was aheadyeah i know it's only dad jokes that scroll through here now if you think  it's bad what i'm saying you should hear what i'm thinking um there we go  oh gorgeous a real gunslinger pose if i've ever seen one that is a purposeful stride this man has  now if you notice over here on the cape there's a little pin here and i believe it is specifically  for the pram oh yeah look at that okay this pram is magnificent i've got a little child in there  he's got his little environment and there's a receiver for that part on the cape this paint  job this this edging and masking absolutely lovely really nice oily burnt metal look  i'm going to pop this on herejust that just that like there are so many materials that would seem rigid and would  slowly creep over time the fact that they've found one that presumably won't is incredible like just  that engineering of that isn't is a real pain in the butt they've done an impressive thing okay uhthis is amazing i'm super into this piece i love the ambient rifle oh i built one a couple  of years ago a couple years ago or was it last year last year i built one of these last year um  okay so how does this attach to our dude ah i see it goes on before the cape so let's pull the pram  let's pull the head and we'll pull the cape there's this little glyph that this fits intolike that and then i can oh oh that goes there now i see so it all goes behind the capecome on come onthere we go oh yeahi mean i'm just going to say i'll wager whoever built this figure when they first  saw that there was going to be a relationship between the amben rifle and the cape  i'll wager that was um a bit of a design challenge all right pram goes back  we give him his head and now it's time for grogu to come to lifenope you're good okay dude the grow goo head is magnificent  that chin like soft chin that the child has the furrowed brow the glistening eyes there we gooh that's really nice they are both looking in the same direction they're looking towards you  oh i wish i could whistle the theme right now but i can't sideshow this is a pretty impressive  build from an engineering standpoint from an engineering standpoint alone i'm really impressed  with this piece from an aesthetic standpoint it's absolutely gorgeous i've been immersed in  mandalorian costuming for a while slowly gathering all the parts and um i've gathered enough parts  i think for almost two complete mandos but uh the goal is just one for right now and uh i can't see  a single thing out of place on this like every detail every paint detail is dead on the money  it's a lovely piece and i uh look i may display it next to my gentle giant sculpture of the child  in in the chair but i won't do that on camera that's crossing the streams  sideshow my hat is off to you guys what a beautiful piece thank you so  much for sending it over here i'm adam savage and i will see you next time\n"
