Unboxing the New 9.7 in iPad Pro: A Closer Look at Apple's Latest Device
Here is the brand new 9.7 in iPad Pro, everything that is awesome about the 12.9 in iPad Pro but reduced down to the original 9.7 in size. Lift it carefully out of its packaging and you'll notice how beautiful it looks, even more so than a Kardashian gold iPhone, if we're being honest. I'm going to put this aside for just one moment while I pull off the Apple packaging.
Inside, we have designed by Apple in California, which is where all the magic happens when it comes to creating these incredible devices. The usual set of tips and tricks that just help you get started with your new 9.7 in iPad Pro is included, so you can dive right in and start exploring all its features.
On the front, we have the AC adapter and the USB2 Lightning cable, which are essentials for any new device. Next to them, you'll find the new 5 megapixel FaceTime camera, which also boasts a retina flash on the front - a feature that's sure to make your selfies stand out. The first generation Touch ID sensor is also present around the side of the device, and it supports Apple Pay for added convenience.
On the back, we have the beautiful anodized aluminum construction, which gives the 9.7 in iPad Pro its sleek and premium look. And then there's the new 12 megapixel 4K eyesight camera, which is very similar to the one found on the iPhone 6s - it's a real treat for photography enthusiasts. The first time a true tone flash has also been included, which will help you capture more accurate colors in your photos.
One of the standout features of the 9.7 in iPad Pro is its antenna line, which has been greatly minimized compared to previous models. This means that the device is thinner and lighter, making it even easier to carry around. We also have the volume rockers, SIM card tray, and Sleep awake button at the top of the device - all new features that add to its overall usability.
And then there's the sound - oh, the sound! The 9.7 in iPad Pro still has a jack, but we now have speakers on all four sides, which means you can enjoy great sound no matter how you hold it. Whether you're watching videos or listening to music, this device is sure to impress.
For comparison's sake, we have the 12.9 in iPad Pro right here, and as you can see, almost all of its power has been packed into a package that is nearly identical to the 9.7 in iPad Air. That's crazy when you think about it - Apple's A9x processor, new speakers, new radios, new cameras - it's all so close to being identical if it weren't for the antenna lines and a few subtle differences like the speakers.
So now you have your choice of 12.9 in and 9.7 in iPad Pro - both devices are available starting at $5.99 and will be available to order on March 24th, with availability in stores set for March 31st. You can choose from rose gold, gold space gray, and silver, as well as your desired size. And of course, it wouldn't be a 9.7 in iPad Pro without an Apple Pencil and a 9.7in SMART connector powered Smart Keyboard to go with it.
