**A Private Tour of Medium Format Cameras**
As we walked through the gallery, we were greeted by an impressive collection of medium format cameras. The owner, who was also the curator, offered us a private tour of the selection, showcasing some truly stunning pieces from renowned manufacturers like Kodak and Hasselblad. We oohed and ahhed as he revealed a beautiful wide-angle lens that was part of the Kodak 60 series, which although not a folder, had a similar feel to a 35mm film camera. The owner noted that this particular camera was priced at around $650, whereas others in the collection ranged from $500 to over $1000.
**A Personal Story of Camera Ownership**
The owner shared with us his own personal story of owning and eventually selling cameras. He had once owned a Pentax Mina, which he wanted to pass on to a friend from Texas. However, his friend's wife happened to unpack the camera case at some point, causing it to become "unavailable" for him to use again. The owner laughed about how this experience taught him to be more careful with his belongings in the future. He also mentioned that he had owned several other cameras over the years, including a Leica M6, which he had sold to Lee Freedlander, only to have Bruce Davidson express interest in purchasing it but ultimately not being able to afford it at the time.
**Vintage Camera Selection**
The gallery offered an impressive selection of vintage cameras, each with its own unique story and history. The owner told us that he had acquired a few cameras through his travels and personal connections. One such camera was a Hasselblad 503 CW, which he had recently acquired. He noted that this camera still came with all three lenses, making it a rare find for collectors. Another camera on display was a Kodak 500 503, which the owner said looked like new despite being over 50 years old.
**Ground Zero Reflections**
As we left the gallery, we made our way to Ground Zero, where we reflected on the significance of visiting this location on the eve of the 9/11 anniversary. Many of us have a personal story associated with that fateful day, and it was moving to be surrounded by others who shared similar experiences. The owner noted that he had always been fascinated by the impact of major events like 9/11 on individuals and society as a whole.
**Meetups and Community**
To wrap up our trip, we attended a Meetup organized by the owner, which brought together around 10 passionate photography enthusiasts. For the owner, this was a highlight of the event, as he loves to connect with people who share his passion for photography. He emphasized that events like this are essential to building a sense of community and shared purpose among photographers.
**The Art of Photography Show**
As we concluded our trip, the owner reflected on the importance of sharing his passion with others through the Art of Photography show. Despite using cameras as a tool for documentation, he realizes that there's something inherently impersonal about uploading content to the internet without human interaction. By attending events like this Meetup, he hopes to create meaningful connections with fellow photographers and share his knowledge with a wider audience.
**The Future Ahead**
As we bid farewell to our trip, the owner expressed his enthusiasm for returning to The Regular Show schedule, which will resume in the coming week. He looks forward to sharing new content and insights with his audience, while also continuing to build relationships with like-minded individuals through events like this Meetup.

ground zero on the Eve before the anniversary of 911 was a particularly moving experience and I'm not going to go into the personal details why I think everybody has a 911 story we were all moved by that we all remember exactly where we were what we were doing and what kind of experience that was to go through that the fear the uncertainty the anger all the feelings that follow a major event like that and for me it was very special to be able to go down there 15 years later on the anniversary and realize all the wonderful things that I have I ended this trip by doing a Meetup and for such short notice we met up at a place on 23rd Street and we had about 10 people show up and you guys may not realize this but those are some of my favorite things to do as part of this show from my standpoint I'm talking into a camera and I upload this and I put it on the internet and I see that people watch it but that's a really impersonal experience and so to be able to do something where I get to meet people that we have something in common not just that they watch the show but they're as passionate about photography as I am that's what's really special to me anyway this was my last trip I hope for the Year this was the 10th trip that I've taken and I'm getting a little tired um I really am looking forward to getting back into the groove of The Regular Show schedule and uh that's hopefully what I'll be doing in the next week or so if you guys enjoyed this video please remember to like it share it and subscribe to the Art of Photography so you'll always be up to date on all the
