Unboxing the Amazon Fire TV Stick: A Closer Look at the Latest Addition to the Amazon Family
As we take a closer look at the box for the Fire TV stick, it's clear that this device comes with access to over 200,000 movies and TV episodes. This is undoubtedly going to be a major selling point for the Fire TV stick, as users will have a vast selection of content to choose from.
Upon opening the box, we find that Amazon has made an effort to make the unboxing process easy and straightforward. They've included all the necessary components, including the Fire TV stick itself, a remote with voice control, a wall adapter, a micro USB cord, two AAA batteries for powering the remote, and an extension cable for HDMI.
The Fire TV stick is indeed small, measuring like that of an old school thumb drive from 2006. This sizeable aspect of the device is likely intentional, as Amazon has aimed to make this streaming stick super small in order to appeal to a wider audience. The remote with voice control is another feature that sets the Fire TV stick apart from its competitors.
When it comes to the specs of the device, it's clear that the Fire TV stick has been designed with performance and capacity in mind. With four times the storage and two times the memory of ChromeCast, this streaming stick is a force to be reckoned with. Additionally, it features a dual core processor and 1 gig of RAM, making it well-equipped to handle demanding tasks.
The processor that powers the Fire TV stick is none other than the Broadcom Capri 28 1555 core arm, commonly referred to as an A9 chip. This powerful component will undoubtedly provide users with a seamless streaming experience. Furthermore, the device comes equipped with support for voice search, making it easy for users to navigate their content without having to physically interact with the remote.
One of the standout features of the Fire TV stick is its selection of streaming services. With access to over 200,000 TV episodes and movies, as well as millions of songs and hundreds of games, this device has something for everyone. Additionally, it supports a vast array of popular streaming channels, including favorites like Netflix.
It's worth noting that one notable absence from the Fire TV stick is support for HBO Go. This lack of inclusion may be due to licensing agreements or other factors, but it does mean that users will have to look elsewhere for access to this content. However, it's clear that Amazon has put a great deal of effort into providing users with an extensive selection of streaming services.
The Fire TV stick is set to become available in shipping sometime in early January, although users who pre-ordered the device may be able to receive their copies sooner. This makes for an exciting time, as users will finally have access to this highly anticipated streaming stick.
In conclusion, the Amazon Fire TV stick has a lot to offer users looking for a reliable and feature-rich streaming solution. With its powerful processor, extensive storage capacity, and impressive selection of streaming services, it's clear that this device is designed to compete with other popular options on the market.
