MID-WEEK 180 - My biggest adventure happens next week !

**A Day with F1 and Drifting**

As I sat down to write this piece, I couldn't help but think about what do when you might get to experience the thrill of driving a super car. For some, it's drifting, while others prefer the speed and agility of Formula One. Whatever your passion, there's no denying that driving high-performance vehicles is an exhilarating experience.

I've had the opportunity to attend a few racing events in the past, but nothing compares to the sheer adrenaline rush of qualifying for F1. The speed, the skill, and the strategy all come together in a way that's truly awe-inspiring. I was fortunate enough to watch a session at a renowned circuit, where drivers pushed their cars to the limit, taking corners with precision and finesse. It's no wonder why F1 is one of the most popular forms of motorsport.

But what really gets my heart racing is the idea of driving a Formula One car itself. The thought of navigating a 300-mile track at over 150 miles per hour is both thrilling and intimidating. I can only imagine the level of skill and concentration required to master such a high-performance vehicle. For now, though, it remains a dream for many enthusiasts.

**Working with Future Terrain**

On a completely different note, I've been approached by Future Terrain, an armed forces rehabilitation charity that does incredible work in training and qualifying individuals who have served in the military community. Their mission is to provide support and adventure activities to those who have sacrificed so much for their country. As someone who's passionate about using my platform to make a positive impact, I was immediately drawn to this cause.

Future Terrain has a range of programs and initiatives aimed at helping veterans readjust to civilian life after serving in the military. From off-roading and motorsport activities to engineering and driving-related projects, their goal is to provide individuals with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the modern world. I'm excited to be working with them on a project that's both challenging and rewarding.

**A Week of Off-Roading Adventures**

Unfortunately, our original plan to drive 1,000 kilometers over the Pyrenees in off-roaders was put on hold due to lockdown restrictions. Instead, we've rearranged our itinerary to take us to various military training facilities across the UK. Over the course of a week, we'll be engaging in all sorts of off-road driving activities, from zip-lining in Wales to navigating treacherous terrain in specially modified vehicles.

But it's not just about the driving; it's also about the people and stories behind this charity. We've got some incredible characters lined up, each with their own unique experiences and perspectives. From ex-soldiers to engineers and adventurers, our group is diverse and talented, making for a truly unforgettable experience.

**Content Creation and Upcoming Videos**

As I prepare to embark on this adventure, I'm also aware that it's an opportunity to create some amazing content for my channel. Over the next few days, I'll be filming behind-the-scenes footage, interviews with the charity team, and of course, plenty of driving action. Whether it's racing a McLaren 675LT or taking on a brand-new Jaguar, there's no shortage of excitement and adrenaline-fueled moments to capture.

If you're following me on Instagram, be sure to keep an eye out for daily updates from Future Terrain. I'll be sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses into our adventure, as well as some incredible stories from the people we meet along the way. It's going to be a wild ride, and I'm thrilled to have you all along for the journey.

**The Week Ahead**

So what can you expect from this week of content? Well, for starters, I'll be driving a Mclaren 675LT on Tuesday, followed by an incredible Mini on Wednesday. Thursday sees me behind the wheel of an Aston Martin DBX (or something even more amazing!), and Friday will bring another brand-new Jaguar to the table.

It's going to be a busy week, but that's exactly what makes it so exciting. With a mix of racing, off-roading, and charity work thrown into the equation, I know this is going to be one for the books. Stay tuned, folks – it's going to be an adventure you won't want to miss!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys and welcome to petrol ped and welcome to this week's midweek 180. now i have a very busy schedule this week it's currently tuesday evening i've been away all filming with a very cool car so i'm very very busy this week but i had to squeeze in my midweek 180. um if you've not seen one of these before this is my midweek update where i bring you my news views and information about upcoming reviews all filmed in one take i'm going to put 180 seconds in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen and that's it a very simple format so without further ado let's get cracking with this week's midweek 180 which is a little bit different from normal but all become clear very very soon so let's get the timer started shall we okay leader of the pack last week was ben higgins congratulations sir joined in the famous five by francois g russell g gingerberry and mark c so whoever puts the first comment this week you will be my leader of the pack next week and the first five comments you will be in my famous five now then where are you and what you're doing well that was marco jay who was actually getting married and basically sneaked out of the wedding dinner to watch the midweek 180 in the hall of the venue my friend you are a legend that is by far and away the best where are you and what you're doing we've ever had unlikely to ever be but wherever you are right now whatever you're doing put it in the comments below and i'll give you a shout out next week see if you can pee that one um anyway last week's question was very briefly about what mileage you did every year and did you declare that to things like your insurance and car finance i think it's safe to say most of us are doing an awful lot less miles than we would normally do but the two standout ones for me was matt from australia first of all with 45 000 kilometers a year and i thought that was a lot until andrew davis piped up with 40 000 miles a year i mean that is unbelievable but i think most of us are in that kind of 10 to 15 000 mile bracket this week's question i want to know what the best petrol head experience you've ever paid to do is it might be a super car driving day or a drift day or whatever it might be i'd love to know what you think the best kind of money for experience ratio that kind of bang for buck i'd love to know um f1 this week well mijello miguello however you say it what a circuit for a formula one car my goodness me uh i thought qualifying was just incredible to watch and the race clearly massive amounts of carnage but i really hope they take f1 back there because i thought it was one of the best circuits to see a formula one car going around uh there is incredible now then this is the different bit so next week i am um working with a charity called future terrain now i've been talking with future terrain since the back end of last year they are an armed forces rehabilitation charity and they basically work with members of the ex-members of the armed forces community on training and qualification and adventures through motorsport and driving related engineering and i've been trying to get something done with them since well actually we'd plan to do a whole bunch of stuff that got kibosh through lockdown and then next week we were meant to be driving a thousand kilometers over the pyrenees in off-roaders where the the charity is sponsored by dacha so we're going to be driving dacha dusters over the pyrenees sadly as you can imagine that's not possible right now so instead we're basically going away for a week around the uk on a number of different military training facilities to do a whole range of different off-road driving activities including i think we're going on a big zip wire in wales i think you probably know where that is i'm going to try and take you behind the scenes get you to meet all the guys there's some incredible people i'm going to learn how to do off-roading uh and be taught by members of the special forces it's going to be incredible and you guys are going to have to come along and i'm going to run out of time but i knew i would run out of time um so yeah now i am going to be creating content for the channel that's the whole reason why i'm going along to take you behind the scenes of an amazing charity they do incredible work uh and kind of share their story um but i'm probably gonna be struggling to do that throughout the week so you need to make sure you follow me on instagram i'm gonna be doing instagram stories every day and trying to give you as much of the kind of feel for being on this expedition as possible we leave on saturday and i'm away all week and it's just going to be amazing as i said a really really cool bunch of guys going with some incredible stories and i really would want want you to meet some of the some of the characters and the personalities um on the expedition it's gonna be fantastic uh and hopefully this will be the first of a number of things i do with future terrain um and just it's one of the ways i want to try and um use the the audience and the profile that i have to just share with you different things um and that's why um when the guys approached me i was super super keen to get involved i am a little bit nervous though because we are doing some really crazy things um with some really crazy guys which is going to be very exciting um i am driving some mega cars this week i know massively over time but hey who cares um and they will be coming to the channel soon so this friday's video at six i'm actually at this point in time not entirely sure which car that is going to be we've still got to see the aston martin dbx video um which hopefully that it will be that if it's not that i'm driving so this video i'm filming on tuesday wednesday so today or earlier today i will have driven a mclaren 675lt for the first time i'm very excited about that and i have an incredible mini on thursday and then a brand new jaguar on friday so there's some really great cars coming so if it's not the aston martin it will be one of them but yeah it's a really busy week this week which is fantastic and amazing but honestly you haven't got enough time to kind of to think at the moment but anyway i hope you enjoyed that one if you have done so please give me a thumbs up comments below are always welcome and if you haven't done so already please subscribe to petra pedro plenty more content to come and as i said make sure you follow me on instagram because next week with future terrain is gonna
