My Every Day Apple Carry

As I sat at my desk, rummaging through my pockets, I realized that my trusty old wallet had been replaced by a sleek new gadget from Bell Roy - a compact and stylish accessory that's perfect for everyday carry. This 45-dollar gem is available on Amazon and has quickly become one of my favorite purchases in recent months. The Ridge Wallet is made of titanium, making it incredibly durable and resistant to scratches and dents. Not only does it block RFID signals, preventing wireless theft, but it also features a money clip and comes with a lifetime warranty.

One of the standout features of this wallet is its design thinking. Unlike traditional wallets that simply slap two pieces of metal together, the Ridge Wallet has a cleverly designed edge that allows for easy card insertion. The rounded edges make it simple to slide your cards in and out, eliminating the frustration of dealing with stiff or uneven metal. This attention to detail is what sets this wallet apart from its competitors.

As I continued to rummage through my pockets, I pulled out an old favorite - a jacket that's been with me for years. It's the Patagonia Houdini Jacket, and it's a game-changer for anyone who wants a versatile and practical piece of outdoor gear. The name "Houdini" comes from the fact that the jacket folds up into its own pocket, essentially disappearing when not in use. This makes it perfect for casual outings or as a windbreaker on chilly days.

The Houdini Jacket is also incredibly lightweight - Patagonia calls it a "featherweight" due to its exceptional weightlessness. And with a hood and adjustable cuffs, this jacket provides excellent protection from the elements. At 99 dollars, it's an affordable option for anyone looking to upgrade their wardrobe.

As a videographer, I often find myself carrying a few essential tools around with me. One of my go-to gadgets is the Summit Knife - a high-quality pocketknife that's perfect for any situation. Whether I'm needing to cut through something or simply having a utility knife on hand, this thing never disappoints. It's available from The Ridge for 160 dollars.

Another tool that often gets mentioned in EDC circles is the Small Rig Folding Tool Set. This tiny set of multi-tools weighs in at just 20 bucks and includes a few essential tools like pliers, scissors, and a knife blade. While it may not be as flashy as some other options, I find that these small tools are incredibly useful in unexpected situations.

When it comes to bags, I have a bit of a system - depending on the occasion and the gear I'm carrying, I'll switch between two different backpacks. For everyday use, I prefer the Peak Everyday Sling - this tiny bag is perfect for slinging over my shoulder and is barely noticeable in crowded areas. At 80 bucks, it's an affordable option that won't break the bank.

However, when I need to bring more gear or equipment, I switch to the Peak Everyday Backpack - a sturdy and reliable piece of kit that's available on Amazon for 260 dollars. Keep in mind that this is a premium product with a higher price tag, but it's worth every penny if you're looking for a reliable and practical bag.

Throughout my career as a videographer, I've noticed a trend among my peers - everyone seems to be obsessed with EDC (Everyday Carry) accessories. And while some of these products may seem frivolous at first glance, they often prove themselves to be incredibly useful in unexpected situations.

One of the most common questions I get is about my favorite gear and accessories - so I thought I'd take a moment to share some of my favorites with you. From gadgets like the Summit Knife and Small Rig Folding Tool Set, to practical items like the Peak Everyday Sling and Backpack, there's something on this list for everyone.

As an Apple user, I've had the chance to try out a few different accessories over the years - from cases to charging docks, there are plenty of options available. But what sets these products apart is their attention to detail and commitment to quality. Whether it's a sleek new case or a practical tool like the Ridge Wallet, these items all share one thing in common: they're designed to make your life easier.

iPad pro when I'm just going to the coffee shop or somewhere around town or to a meeting and I'm just gonna be doing some writing or light productivity stuff and then the MacBook Pro if not the MacBook Pro and the iPad pro go with me when I head out on a trip and I have to have Final Cut Pro with me my iPhone case of choice is the totally ultra thin case no that's the name totally and it's an ultra thin case and I can't tell you how many people comment in videos saying what case is that right now I'm using the black version but sometimes want to get bored when I switch it up I switch over to the white cuz yeah I bought two this case looks insanely good plus it adds zero bulk and protects against scratches pretty much perfect you pick one up for just 30 bucks on Amazon I'll link all these up down below now as somebody who loves the Apple watch and who literally has somewhere between 30 and 50 third-party bands laying around the companies have sent oh we're trying to get on the channel I can tell you that my favorite my go-to the one that I pick out personally he's the official Apple black leather loop band I know it's not new or anything but when you look up close the design is absolutely killer and I also love the magnetic clasp it's the clasp that's ruined all of their clasps because it's so unique you can pick one up for 99 bucks over at Amazon I got some new sunglasses lately and I really like them actually my wife surprised me with these because I was like this time I want some really nice ones and this is what she got so these are the electric Knoxville's and the color is black but they actually refer to it as Vader which is perfect for me because you guys know I really like Star Wars now the frames here are a little bit bigger than my last pair but that's cool cuz then you end up getting more Sun coverage that way but yet you still get that really clean classic look 150 over at Amazon now one of my absolute favorite items in my EDC is my key wallet it's not a keychain it's actually a leather wallet for my keys now I actually can't take credit for discovering this I got the heads-up from Peter McKinnon but I will say it's really a conversation starter now only holds like two to four keys so you might have to pare down your key selection just a little bit I know I did but I absolutely love how my keys aren't clanking around in my pocket anymore this one is from Bell Roy and it's 45 bucks if you check it out on Amazon now as for my actual wallet I wanted something that was super compact that's what I was after I didn't want a wallet that needed its own passport and what I ended up with was the ridge wallet which may be the coolest wallet on the planet and look how much smaller its overall footprint is versus my old wallet it's titanium so it's pretty much indestructible it blocks RFID signals to prevent wireless theft it's got a money clip and it has a lifetime warranty what I love is the design thinking that went into this thing because it's not just two pieces of titanium smashing your cards together there's a really cool edge that's slightly rounded that lets you really easily slide your cards into the wallet this one's 105 on Amazon I have a favorite jacket and I've actually had it for years and it goes with me everywhere no matter what season it is it comes from Patagonia and they call it the Houdini jacket and they call it that because it folds up into its own pocket like this and basically disappears this seems great obviously for a light jacket or just being a windbreaker I like that it has a hood on it and they call it a featherweight jacket which is not an exaggeration because this thing basically weighs nothing this one's 99 bucks over on patagonia site although if you don't get the black you can snag a different color for like half off you know what else you can carry around with you wherever you go that's really useful the daily tech after-party that's our podcast where we need a pocketknife it's really hard to beat the quality and the look of the summit knife which is a hundred and sixty bucks from the ridge I also always carry the small rig folding tool set which is only 20 bucks over on Amazon I've seen a million EDC videos like this and people talk about the tool but I'll say why well for me it's all about being prepared because there have been times when I couldn't get a certain shot because I couldn't get the tripod plate off or there's times when you need to open something and you don't have a knife around convenience preparation that's why I bring these tools but to be honest they're usually in one of my bags speaking of bags I use two different ones most of the time depending on what it is that I'm hauling around and where I'm going if I'm just out around town on a video shoot then I'll just bring with me the peek three liter everyday sling it's so small and compact it's not bulky at all and yet if it's just enough camera gear and it sings only 80 bucks slings got really popular lately there's a lot from her shawl or moment or you name it but this one is perfect for anyone who does camera stuff now if I'm going on an actual trip
