The Need for a Portable Power Solution: My Experience with the Cobra Jump Pack CPP 8000
As someone who carries around a multitude of gadgets, I can attest to the importance of having a reliable and portable power solution. However, keeping all my devices charged at the same time can be a daunting task, often resulting in me leaving one device behind and forgetting to charge it. This has been a recurring problem for me, but recently, I had the opportunity to try out the Cobra Jump Pack CPP 8000, which promises to address this issue.
The Cobra Jump Pack CPP 8000 is a power pack that features a 6,000 mAh battery, powered by a 2.4 amp USB port. This allows for quick charging of my devices, including my iPhone 6 Plus, which I charged from 0 to 50% in approximately 40 minutes. The device also has an overcharge protector, which will cut off the charge when the battery is full, ensuring that my batteries remain healthy in the long run.
One of the most distinctive features of this power pack is its ability to jump start a variety of vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, and even boats. However, it's essential to note that not all vehicles are compatible with this feature. According to Cobra, the device can handle up to 200 amps for most vehicles but may not be suitable for those requiring more than that. In my own testing, I found that the power pack was able to jump start my car without any issues.
The design of the Cobra Jump Pack CPP 8000 is also noteworthy. It measures roughly the same width as my iPhone 6 Plus and has a slightly shorter length, making it easy to fit into a pocket or glove box. Additionally, it weighs about the same as two iPhone 6es on the front, giving it a substantial yet compact build quality.
The power pack features several user-friendly interfaces, including a central button that allows you to monitor the remaining charge of the device through LED indicators on the front. This button also doubles as a switch for the LED light located above and to the right of it. Furthermore, there are two USB ports: one that can be used to charge the power pack via my computer and another that is specifically designed for charging devices while driving.
One aspect that may deter some users from purchasing this power pack is its name, which may not accurately convey the device's capabilities. However, I would argue that the name "Jump Pack" does an adequate job of describing its primary function: providing a reliable source of power when it's needed most.
In conclusion, my experience with the Cobra Jump Pack CPP 8000 has been overwhelmingly positive. The device has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and versatility, making it an excellent choice for anyone seeking a portable power solution that can handle their daily needs. While its price may be slightly higher than some other power packs on the market, I believe the added convenience and peace of mind provided by this device make it well worth the investment.
Looking ahead to future articles from Cult of Mac, I am excited to see the unboxing of the new iPhone SE and 9.7 in iPad Pro, which promises to be an insightful look into these upcoming devices.

bit of a juggling act and more often than not I'll leave one to the side and forget about charging it I always meant to invest in a power pack or a power bank or whatever you'd like to call it the guys from Cobra sent over a jump pack that has a little extra trick up its sleeve there's a few different offerings from Cobra but the one we're looking at is the jump pack CPP 8,000 it's a catchy name I know but it features a 6,000 mAh battery which comes through a 2.4 amp USB port meaning it will quickly get that power to your phone or tablet or whatever device you're plugging in charging my iPhone 6 Plus from0 to 50% took around 40 minutes which I was pretty impressed with it's going to charge an iPhone 6s around three times before running out of juice and features an overcharge protector which will cut off the charge when full meaning it will protect your battery in the long run the jump pack is pretty much the same width as my iPhone 6 Plus slightly shorter and about double the thickness but it will fit into your pocket bag or glove box no problem and it weighs about the same as two iPhone 6es on the front you've got this Central button which allows you to see the remaining charge of the jump pack via the LED indicators on the front and it also doubles up as the switch for the LED light on top to the right of the LED you've got a micro USB input so you can charge the J jump pack via your computer and the 5vt 2.4 amp USB port that I mentioned earlier to the left is the 14 Volt input to charge the jump pack via the car charger provided which is nice to be able to charge this thing whilst driving about next to that is the extra feature I was hinting at earlier on top of being able to charge all of your devices this can actually jump start your car motorbike or even boat yes I said boat along with a lot of other vehicles multiple times with juice to spare just check your vehicle specs before buying if it needs more than 200 amps with a 400 amp to start this won't work for you for most Vehicles though the jump pack will be fine to jump start a car you first need to connect the included cables to your car's battery then plug them into the jump pack turn the jump pack on and then turn the key in your car the battery in my car was fine but I did take it to a local garage to try it out as I wanted to see it in action and it seemed to work a dream it's really nice to have an external battery pack that also has an extra feature which I'll now carry with me everywhere so no matter where I am if my car battery decides to die on me for whatever reason I don't have to rely on a pass a buy or breakdown service for just short of $120 although it's currently on sale on Amazon for $90 it's a little bit pricier than most power Banks but most power Banks can't jump start your boat it's a decent size sturdy build quality and it's got plenty of power I've got no real complaints about the jumpack CPP 8000 except maybe the the name well
