A Museum of PC Art: Curated by xpszero

The world of computer hardware has always been about pushing boundaries and innovating new designs. Recently, I had the chance to explore some truly unique and fascinating builds from around the web, curated by xpszero. From a system with a 3700X CPU to one that's a testament to poor design choices, this collection showcases both the creativity and the missteps of PC enthusiasts.

One of the first systems we came across was built by someone who appears to have been in a hurry. The build features a 3700X processor, which, as xpszero notes with some amusement, seems like it would only be used by "losers." However, despite this questionable choice, the system has also got a 16 GB of RAM at 3600 MHz and an EVGA i7-10700K. The real kicker, though, is the power supply - a whopping 1000 watt unit that seems like a waste given the rest of the build's relatively modest specs.

In another build, we find ourselves looking at a system that has taken some... interesting liberties with its design choices. A chocolate-themed case has been paired with heat-producing components in close proximity to one another, making it seem like an abomination. It's hard not to laugh when faced with this kind of carelessness. As for the specs, we see a 3700X again (though this time paired with 16 GB of RAM and an EVGA i7-10700K), but the real head-turner is the power supply - another unit that seems far too large for its needs.

Our next system has some... unusual components. A Core i7 8086k processor, rumored to be a special binned version of the 8700K, takes center stage. Alongside this sits an EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 for the Win edition and 16 GB of RAM. What's also noteworthy is the use of a power link, which seems like something that would have been seen in the past due to its ergonomic benefits. However, it brings forward power around the card itself. The motherboard here appears to be an EVGA board, adding another layer of "shilling" for the brand.

Another intriguing build has caught our eye. An A8 5600K processor from AMD sits alongside a large aftermarket cooler on the motherboard, something that's both interesting and concerning in terms of cooling efficiency. It's not every day you see an older APUs used in builds anymore. What also stands out is the presence of a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti card, which seems like it would bring somewhat respectable performance for its class.

Finally, we come across a system that has been... creatively styled to say the least. While this build does have a few commendable design choices, including solid cable management and an aftermarket cooler, some aspects make us wonder if our initial assessment was too harsh. A large power supply and what seems like minimal cable management elsewhere raise questions about the build's overall design philosophy.

Throughout these various builds, we've seen a wide range of choices in design, from truly innovative to downright questionable. One thing is for certain: there are those out there who have no fear when it comes to experimenting with their computer builds and pushing boundaries.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: entoday we're gonna roast some beautiful pieces from the darva does discord community now the reason that i'm doing this is because i often buy a bunch of old crappy cheap hardware and then make fun of it but then i thought to myself why does the old crappy hardware get all of the love let's make fun of some beautiful pieces like this one which i mean it just looks like the physical representation of epilepsy the channel in the darva does discord that we're looking at today is called the museum of pc art which there's a very specific format to how you list each pc to make it all nice and beautiful and easy to browse let's start off with this epilepsy build which clearly has misbehaved recently because it's being forced to run on a carpet which will kill it in the next couple of minutes if the internet is to be believed as far as the specs goes it's got a ryzen 5 3600x which as gamer's nexus will tell you is the wrong ryzen 5 cpu to buy because you're essentially just paying for that x letter over there which stands for extreme so you know it is it is worth a decent amount of money uh it's got 16 gigs of ddr4 3200 megahertz and a gtx 1080 ti with some other goodies in there next up we have this pc which um there's a bit of a cluster kerfuffle going on here that's a brave angle to have aio tubing going at although i have used this uh this corsair h100i in a that acer nitro 50 mod and the tubing is at a pretty brave angle in there as well so i think the aio can handle it that gpu is an rtx 2080 okay it's a strix variant which that's got a beefy ass cooler on it yeah then you've also got an i7 9700k which you're clearly shilling for intel here because you know the the amd alternative is better value bam roasted the next system is oh i don't actually recognize that case what case is that eurotech slayer rx220 pro okay that's one hell of a product name i like that um lots of ketchup and mustard again bit whit will be outraged by this but that cable management is hella impressive especially considering that that looks like a bit of a potato power supply that's got look at that i wouldn't be able to do that uh some real time and effort went into this one it's got an i5 9600 kf in it with 32 gigs of ram that's an interesting combination i mean it could be for like productivity use cases but then why do you have an i5 in there that's that's definitely intel shilling happening here it's also got an asus card in it that's so interesting there are so many of these ooh the power supply is called an enhance atx you you i give it what five months before it catches on fire let's move on to the next system which whoa so much of light oh and she's also got the rgb power cables it's so colorful i mean okay this system if rgb adds ten percent to the gaming performance of the system this pc this is at least five or six hundred percent gaming performance i feel like i feel like this is gonna get me demonetized so we may not look at that picture anymore but it's got two 20 80s in it in sli which is is pretty oh do you have multiple oh they've actually got multiple side panels so this is for when your parents come into your room and this is for when you're partying alone at night it's got a 9900k overclocked to 4.9 gigahertz uh it's got 16 gigs of ram two 20 80s in there are those founders edition cards they look like it oh that's pretty badass okay let's move on to the next one which oh this is also a badass system now you could make fun of the fact that you've got a vertically mounted gpu in here but the thing is there's a lot of space between it and the glass and it's the aorus um it's it's the aorus version of the card which means it's got a terrible heatsink on it anyway so it doesn't matter we've got a 3900x in here with 16 gigs of ddr4 3600 megahertz yeah this thing is a real beast we've actually got a video here oh yeah that's that's some rave action going on in there next up we've got this system which i mean i really like this case i don't think cooler master makes it anymore but what was it called again uh we'll have it here i can't remember oh master case pro 5. uh i like the way it looks inside i want them to make like a tempered glass side panel version of this because otherwise you have to have the like the like loser acrylic side panel bam roasted as far as system specs you've got a 3 900 x in here which you know you're shilling for amd here because the intel alternative is is worse value for money is that the shilling argument is that how that works uh you got 32 gigs of ram in here another 2080 ti but it's again the asus strix variant a lot of asus strix cards here they do have pretty beefy looking coolers on there uh 750 watt power supply you've got okay a lot of storage there's a lot of storage in here that's a pretty cool pc i mean loser pc i'm supposed to be roasting them here okay let's move on to the next pc which is um it's actually really beautiful uh this is gonna be pretty difficult to make fun of these systems maybe that's why i make fun of old crappy hardware because it's they're just easy to make fun of but um oh yeah okay here it's got mismatched pci express power cables going to the gpus so the top what is it uh the top gtx 1080 has nice sleeved cables and then underneath that you've got loser power supply cables go in there uh yeah that's that's kind of all i got for this one uh it's got two 1080s in it which is pretty cool i actually miss multi gpu setups there's something really badass about having two beefy chunky cards in your system uh yeah so this is this is a beautiful pc next up we have this build which there's quite a lot of ketchup and mustard going on there which would give bit with a heart attack but considering the case that it's built in it's actually the cable management's not terrible because as you can see there are a lot of drives and stuff and there's nowhere really to hide the cables so yeah it makes sense that there is a bit of cable mess on display what i find interesting about this build is that this aio looks very similar to the aio in the old alienware systems here it says it's a no-name brand aio so maybe it's just an unbranded asetek unit and that's why it looks so similar as far as specs we've got a 1080 in here another 1080 that's interesting this is the extreme gaming version uh it's got a 4790k in it which is also a beast yeah this is a this is a real beast of a system oh it's got an ibuypower logo on it so that means it's a pre-built and we're not allowed to enjoy the performance that it has to offer we have this system which is pretty retro it's got a q9650 in there overclocked at 3.6 gigahertz okay okay uh there's a gtx 1070 in here the second card in there is a zotac p106 oh it's a mining gpu i i hopefully it's being used for folding and not being put to work in the salt mines cooler wise it's got an ebay brand cooler on it that's interesting i've never seen one of those before i wonder how that performs because i think the q9650 is a reasonably hot cpu uh got eight gigs of ram and yeah yeah it's an interesting pc next up we've got a pc that okay they clearly blew their entire budget on rgb fans there's six of them in here that's that's pretty crazy well okay at least the case has a mesh front so it means those fans are doing something it's not just like tempered glass which is good it's got an i5 9600 kf in here overclocked to 4.2 gigahertz not the bravest overclock but that's fine 16 gigs of a data ram oh okay uh not rgb which is nice i actually prefer non-rgb ram uh it's got a 1660 super in there with a bit of an overclock a a gamex kamikaze pro that's interesting i don't know what that case is and then it's got a gay max iceberg as well that's interesting i think one of the earlier pcs had one of those on yeah yeah that's the same ai oh okay cool next up is a pc built by some idiot um who would who would build this who would put a just that's what is this abomination of a system the next system has okay this is just ridiculous you've got a bunch of chocolate next to heat producing components in your system that is just going to melt and it's going to get chocolate over all of your system it is it's just irresponsible quite frankly as far as the specs go we've got a 3700 x in there which i have it on good authority that only losers have those cpus in their system uh you got 16 gigs of 3600 megahertz okay you've got an evga i mean it's that's a well specced out system although we've got a glaring floor you have a thousand watt power supply you really spent too much money on your power supply i guess oh you've got a little easter egg in your system there's it looks like a very slowly pinched off poo it's kind of hanging out on the top of your cpu cooler there next up we've got a system with a core i7 8086k oh that's interesting it was like a special binned version of the 8700k i wonder how much more that cost than the stock version i can't remember what the price premium was on that but you've got uh 16 gigs of ram you've got an evga 1070 for the win edition which that's again a pretty beefy cooler oh you've got one of those power link things it's is that what it's called i've actually never seen one of these in a build before that's awesome evga launched it ages ago and it kind of brings power around to the front of the card which i think is pretty funny because back in the day all graphics cards had their eps power connectors on the front of the card and it was seen as like an ergonomic cable management upgrade moving into the side and then evga brings out that adapter i think that's funny but that's cool i've never seen one of those before is that motherboard also an evga oh yeah there's a lot of evga shilling going on here it looks a little bit like you removed the stock fans on the cooler and added your your own ones is that what's going on there it uh gp oh it's got it's got an aftermarket cooler on it so it's not the standard evga for the wind cooler on oh that makes sense that is a crazy huge cooler i wonder what the temperatures are on that and i mean again you've got a huge cpu cooler as well this pc has an old amd apu in it an a8 5600k that's interesting i haven't seen a build with one of those in for a while and then you've got a a pretty comparatively big cooler on here so your temps must be crazy good uh you've got a 1050 ti in there oh it'll be interesting to see what kind of performance this system gets although there's something pretty questionable about this photo because you've got pretty decent looking cable management for a non-modular power supply going on up there but then you've cut out a lot of the rest of the system so does that mean that this is the only good part of cable management and here you just have like a rat's nest going that's kind of what i'm thinking is going on here again you can't see the rest of the cable management over there and there's a dvd drive in there so you're definitely into pirating movies that's the only thing that that can mean and with that it brings me to the end of another video sorry if i missed your pc but i'm sure the video is already too long and if you like this kind of thing like the video and let me know in the comment section below and then maybe we'll do more of this kind of thing in the future thank you very much xpszero for curating that museum of pc art it really is very cool anyway with that thank you very much and until the next video bye-bye youtoday
