Ferrari GTC4 Lusso - The perfect Ferrari for my life with Ferrari Approved - Part 1 _ 4K

The Mountain Road: A Ferrari GTC4Lusso Driver's Perspective

As I set off on the winding roads of Italy, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The Ferrari GTC4Lusso was waiting for me, its V12 engine humming softly beneath the bonnet. The car's controls on the steering wheel were a major plus in my book - all proper buttons, including a start-stop button that I particularly appreciated.

In contrast to the Roma, which has an often confusing array of switches and levers, the GTC4Lusso's layout is straightforward and intuitive. This was especially welcome as I navigated the twisting roads, where visibility was limited by the trees and hillsides. The four-wheel drive system gave me plenty of confidence, and I reveled in the power and agility of the car.

One of the joys of driving a Ferrari in Italy is the opportunity to experience some of the country's most scenic and challenging roads. The road we were on today was particularly stunning - with its hairpin bends and steep inclines, it was the perfect test bed for the GTC4Lusso's capabilities. As I accelerated out of each corner, the car surged forward with ease, its rear end hugging the road as I pushed it to its limits.

I have always been a fan of the Ferrari's design, particularly when compared to some of their newer models like the Roma. The GTC4Lusso has a certain understated elegance that sets it apart from its more exotic siblings. And yet, despite this subtlety, the car is undeniably a supercar - with its V12 engine producing over 600 horsepower.

One of the things that I find particularly interesting about Ferrari's approach to cars is their inclusive servicing package. Introduced several years ago, this comprehensive warranty and maintenance plan has had a profound impact on the company's sales figures and customer satisfaction ratings. By providing customers with a level of confidence and security that they might not have otherwise experienced, Ferrari has been able to build a loyal following among enthusiasts who are willing to pay a premium for the privilege of owning one of their cars.

Of course, this approach is not unique to Ferrari - other manufacturers like McLaren have also responded to market demand by introducing similar packages. However, I believe that Ferrari's approach is particularly clever, given the company's history and reputation. By providing customers with a guarantee of mechanical excellence, Ferrari has been able to create a level of desirability around their cars that is hard to match.

As I continued to drive through the winding roads, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience the GTC4Lusso in action. Despite the weather conditions - which were gradually deteriorating as I drove - the car performed flawlessly, its V12 engine singing a sweet melody of power and precision. Whether on the road or on track, this is a car that is sure to deliver.

However, for now, it's time to head back to Verano and take delivery of my next Ferrari - the SF90 Stradale, which I'll be taking out on track with an instructor from Ferrari's Corsa Pilota program. It promises to be an exciting experience, and one that will give me a unique insight into the company's approach to performance and driving dynamics. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to sharing my adventures in the world of Ferrari with you - so stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes stories from the world of supercars.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwho standing water scary Road sonus V12 hey guys and welcome to petrop ped and welcome to Italy sadly it's raining today but I'm here with Ferrari to explore their approved program where you can get your hands on a pre-owned Ferrari but with all of the confidence of buying new and I'm out here experiencing these beautiful roads in this quite ridiculously beautiful DTC 4 loo now then well welcome to the verono Circuit in Italy very near Palmer I'm here today with Ferrari to learn more about their approved program a really busy day of driving both on the road I'm going to be driving a GTC for lusso on the road I'm going to be learning all about the Ferrari approve program and the checks that they put pre-owned cars through to make you as confident as possible to buy your first Ferrari or certainly your first pre-owned Ferrari maybe and then this afternoon we're going to be driving the sf90 the th horsepower hybrid Supercar from Ferrari around the circuit here at Verano it's very wet so I'm sure that's going to be quite interesting but for now let's head over into one of the pit garages and jump into the driver's seat of a GTC for lusso and take it for a spin in the wet mountains around Palmer okay first up a drive in the pouring rain in a GTC for Luso now I've never driven one of these before um but I think we should do a cold start of the V12 let's turn the stereo um for a start this is maybe the perfect car for today because it's horrible weather out there let me just get the steering wheel in the best position possible we're in wet mode on the Mantino I think that sounds good to me okay so we are heading out that way I think I've got I've got a tail driver behind me so the idea of this press route is just to showcase the car I need to remember I'm in Italy so I've got to drive on the right hand side of the road um and one of the things I found really interesting about the briefing that we had this morning was GTC for lusso is of all Ferraris the one that they experience if you like the most um mileage that is the car that they expect people to do the most mileage in it's the most likely car to be daed that kind of makes sense because it's a big format car it's got four seats ample seating in the back and it's got a big boot you know it's a it's a a very practical car so I'm starting off in wet mode on the Mantino in Auto change gearbox now this particular car they've chosen all the cars that are on the test routes today because they are from the Ferrari approved program this car has just over 15,000 km on the clock so it's been well used and well loved um and it's gone through the over 200 100 Point check to make it the best possible version of itself and they were the guys were saying look you know the these cars mechanically should be really great they should drive beautifully it's interesting having spent um some time in the Roma just a couple of weeks ago that car tick lots of boxes for my lifestyle um it's that fly under the radar a little bit of space in the back for the pups um practical enough to go away for a long weekend you know enough luggage space for the two of us this car this car is very dangerous because it's well it's four seats it's got a big boot in the back it's four-wheel drive W could be the perfect family car for me and te and the puppies I'm now going to go to the paddles because I want to cuz I've got a V12 under my right foot and it sounds incredible it's one of those very frustrating days today though because the road look at it it's wet there's standing water there's mud on this side of the road and all you really want on a lovely day like today is to be able to open the Taps and listen to that glorious Ferrari V12 but the thing I find interesting about the approved program and listening to the briefing this morning is there's a lot of there's a lot of things that Ferrari have done in the last 10 years or so that for me sets them aside from other Supercar high-end car manufacturers and one of those is the fact that when you buy a new Ferrari they come with 7 years free servicing and in the UK a 4year warranty I'm not being funny but you only really get warranties like that on some of the Korean manufacturers like Kia and Hyundai you get a 4-year warranty in the UK on a Ferrari and free servicing for 7 years and that means that your cost of ownership is really predictable but what's cool about the approved program is that 7 years free servicing is transferable to the next owner irrespective of whether e you buy it from a Ferrari dealer or from a specialist independent specialist you still get your free servicing for 7 years the warranty you can extend that warranty up to 7 years and then from 7 years to 15 years there's a another warranty it's a slightly lower level of coverage predominantly mechanical stuff like engine gearbox and so on but you can have uh Factory cover on on your warranty up to 15 years of ownership and then you pass the car into the classic program which you know it starts to become a classic car so actually if you are financially able to consider buying a Ferrari then it starts to make the decision process just that little bit easier because the worries the big bills the horrible expenses that can come with having a secondhand Ferrari start to disappear that's really cool okay 690 horsepower from a Ferrari V12 in the pouring rain in Italy in what world did I ever think that would happen Honestly though um there's a part of me that's terrified at the moment because the weather's so foul and I'm in a very expensive very powerful Ferrari super cars super wagon but with this four-wheel drive it seems to be quite planted I'm being very careful I'm in wet mode for a start so that will back the thr throttle mapping off a little bit and just make even if I'm over aggressive on the throttle it will just dampen that down dampen that power as I put it on into the tarmac but I think for me when you when you start to be lucky enough to experience Ferrari and I grew up as a kid and I think I said in my Roma video Ferrari has always been a mark that I I lust after I think they make beautiful cars I love the history of the brand the ethos I've been lucky enough to have been around Marinello and see their cars being made and especially the V12 in this GTC 4 Luca these are one man one engine so when you go to the engine plant they are hand built by one guy um well one guy and there's girls working there as well so just to put that one out there but you have this one man one engine ethos and I love that and there's a little plaque on the top of the engine that says who it was that handbuilt this engine but for many people Ferrari is an ultimate dream a goal an aspiration something that they they may well plan for and work towards for many many years and maybe they save money maybe they're lucky enough to I don't know do well in business or inherit some money or whatever it might be and they get to the point where they can own a Ferrari and that might be that they're able to buy a brand new Ferrari and spec the car as they wish and and and have all of the things that they want but for a lot of people that that isn't going to be an option they'll want to look at a used one for a number of reasons it might be that they're a little bit cheaper and more affordable more more attainable it might be that they want a car that's no longer made um maybe you want to buy I know F430 or uh something like that and what the Ferrari approved program does is it allows them to do that with the full backing of the factory effectively and you get that peace of mind you know you're buying a car that's been mechanically checked in detail you know you've got the like I've mentioned already about the warranty um and uh in the you know the 7 years servicing which is transferable so as long as the car's less than 7 years old obviously now while I'm enjoying this lovely twisty Road let's cut back to Verano and have a chat about some of the work that goes into getting one of these cars ready for the Ferrari approved program so we are now in one of the garages here at Verano and it's now a workshop and I wanted to talk to you about the approved program and just how a car like the Pino behind me would go through that process so what it gives is a buyer the confidence that this car has been checked and approved by Ferrari and fundamental to that in this folder here is a 202 Point checklist that the technicians at Ferrari would go go through and if we come over to this Pino everything is checked on the outside we're checking the condition of things like the Bodywork the first thing they do actually is check the specification of the car they lift the in this case underneath the boot is a plaque with the specification listed on it check the body color all of the things are present any modifications that aren't Ferrari genuine parts a novitech exhaust or other accoutrements would invalidate this process so there's no modifications allowed at all but actually this is for us today we've got a nice handwritten one for the technicians they'd actually be using an iPad so you got a this is linked to Mello so as soon as the car comes in it goes onto the system so they work through all the different checks and know anything that needs to be fixed or modified in this particular car for example if we go inside um I'm not sure whether we're going to be able to show that but there are there's some wear on the seats that would be um notified and actually there's a slight bit of damage on the seat so they would fix that um before it went into the the process the other really important thing is they use this de system here so this tough book um links to the car to its diagnostic systems and all the different ecus and the computers on the car and gives up a full Diagnostics display anything to be wary of any faults on the car any issues and this is something that you wouldn't typically see an independent Ferrari specialist it would only be main dealers have this tool and it gives a much more in-depth view of the car so then you end up with a car that has this um this big tick that says it's approved by Ferrari in terms of warranties and so on I've mentioned in the car already that uh a new Ferrari comes with a 7-year servicing package 3year warranty in most countries in the UK we actually get a 4-year warrranty but once you've gone through the approved program you can actually extend that warranty so all Ferrari approved cars come with a 2-year warranty and their 7year or up to 7year servicing package and then the last thing we can look at here is you're buying a new Ferrari to you it might not be brand new but you might want to make it your own and there's a whole range of different parts it might be you've got these little um exhaust uh tips you can change those to make them look nice you've got carbon fiber wheel center caps some really lovely things these are all Ferrari approved parts some nice wheels so you can really go to town and make the Ferrari your own and you never know although it's a pre-owned Ferrari it might not be your last one they want you to buy it and make it special and Ferrari is forever and keep that Ferrari um in your um in your ownership but it's still raining outside let's see how I'm getting on with that gtc4 Luso up on the Mountain Road shall we let's put this car to the test and just talk about what it's like to drive first thing I really love about it especially compared to the Roma is the controls on the steering wheel are all proper buttons and I much prefer that proper start stop button the Mantino just looks a little bit more I don't know special than the haptic that you get on the newer Ferrari steering wheels so that's that's a big plus for me in terms of the car to drive I'm clearly massively compromised just by the weather today but it is a a big weighty V12 but it's so nicely balanced on the road four-wheel drive is giving me lots of confidence and I'm on the most fantastic bit of Italian Road and when I get a straight you can just open the Taps and he's just got so much go this car and as I said I'm in wet mode so I can imagine in sport or track mode it's going to be a magnificent thing but look at this road a to drive a Ferrari in Italy is one of life's great Pleasures I don't think it gets much better to be honest okay just going to have a going have a little play in sport and just be careful with the application of the throttle just use my right foot as the measure of how much power to be applied rather than a bit of software and a throttle mapping cuz when you're driving on one of these press routes you never know what's coming but you look on the satnav and you see the road twisting like it is right now and you're like oh hello this looks good fun oh there we go see the difference now just up in sport mode is even on third throttle you can just feel the back just rotating a little bit just need to be a little bit more careful now one of the things I find super interesting about Ferrari and the way that they really shook up the Supercar industry with their 7year inclusive servicing which did Mega things for Ferrari residuals because you've got that confidence that you're you're going to have a car that's looked after from a main dealer I think the only thing that's not covered is tires and some fluids you know oils and so on but they didn't just decide to do that it was done in conjunction with the design and build of the cars from California onwards they had a chassis and a body that were built separately and then they joined them together in the marriage I've seen it at the Marinello Factory it's a fantastic thing to see happen and then also the construction of the cars being predominantly uh alloy so there's you know there's no huge amounts of like carbon fiber monor cages and those types of things so what that means is if the car has um any kind of impact or or a crash they're generally more fixable um and are you know easier to keep on the road so that that that warranty package that allinclusive servicing package is just an easy thing to deliver the only thing I would say about this particular car is he got a squeaky driver's seat I'll be feeding that back to the guys they said that they were mechanically perfect um but they are used cars so there's bound to be the little bits of character that you find in pre-owned cars and this one its character is a squeaky Driver's Seat but for me you you know I look at the likes of McLaren I know McLaren are now offering 5 years of servicing but I'm surprised that the other super car manufact haven't followed suit because you look at what it's done for Ferrari as a brand and the um desirability of their vehicles not just for new but for used very clever strategy oh this Road's great but the weather is closing in so I'm going to head back to Verano where I get to drive the th000 horsepower sf90 on track now stay tuned to the channel if you want to see how I get on with that one cuz I'll put that in a separate video because we're going to be taking out with an instructor from the Corsa pilotti which is Ferrari's program if you want to start racing a Ferrari or if you buy one of their uh FXX cars or Corsa cleen cars you can do the corser p LTI and you get taught to be a racing driver by Ferrari's own and that's what's going to happen to me this afternoon so I'll do that as a separate video so for now from the driver's seat of this absolutely beautiful gtc4 Luso I hope you've enjoyed that guys if you have done please give me a thumbs up just change down into third comments below are always welcome and if you haven't done so already please subscribe to petrop ped for plenty more content to come concentrating really hard here but I'll see you on the next film guys you
