Setting Up Google Glass Version Two: A Step-by-Step Guide

We are going to set up Google Glass version two for the first time now I do have the glasses in front of me actually right here and this is the power button so let's push and hold this a little light comes on and glass will begin to boot up and you'll see it in that little display there probably not really well it's going to take a moment and when it boots up what we can do is actually connect it with the my glass app so on an Android phone or an iPhone now we can connect it we'll hit continue and I'll use my Google account and it says you've previously set up a glass using your account would you like to do it now uh I'm going to set up another glass and and let's see if it's booted up I have to put this on for a moment since you can't really see it here now I'll walk you through what I'm doing and it's going to tell me to swipe forward on the touchpad to start swipe forward again to continue and it's trying to teach me how to use it and I already know how to use it so I went through a quick tutorial now it's asking me to choose my other device and I'll show you this later but basically it's asking me if I want to set it up using an Android device or a computer and it told me to open it so we're going to pair phone and glass let's see if it connects now it just said do I want to pair I'll hit pair and tap on my display and now they're connected so it's pretty simple the setup process

As you can see, the power button is located on the side of the glasses. To turn them on, simply press and hold the button until a light comes on and the device begins to boot up. The display will show some basic information about your new device. Once the device has finished booting up, you can connect it to your Google account using the my glass app on your Android phone or iPhone. To do this, simply hit continue and use your Google account credentials to authenticate the connection.

If you've previously set up a Glass device with your Google account, the process will be even faster and more streamlined. You'll see a message asking if you'd like to connect to another device using the my glass app. In this case, we're setting up two new devices at once - one for each of our existing Glass devices. To continue, simply swipe forward and select your preferred setup option.

One of the most important steps in setting up your Google Glass is connecting it to your Wi-Fi network. You can do this by tapping on the glass display and selecting "Wi-Fi" from the menu. This will allow you to browse the available networks on your device and connect to your home network or any other network that's connected to the internet.

If you want to set up a new device, but don't need it to be connected to Wi-Fi right away, you can also choose to skip this step. Instead, select "Skip Wi-Fi" from the menu and continue with the setup process.

Once your Glass is connected to your Wi-Fi network, you can start using it to access various apps and features. In our case, we're going to connect our new device to our existing mobile phone using the my glass app. This will allow us to use our smartphone's camera and microphone functions on our Glasses, as well as connect to other devices like headphones or speakers.

To pair your Glass with your mobile phone, simply follow the on-screen instructions. This may involve scanning a QR code or entering a passcode to authenticate the connection. Once connected, you can start using your Glass to make calls, send texts, and access various apps and features.

As you can see, setting up Google Glass is a relatively straightforward process that requires only a few simple steps. With the my glass app and your smartphone's camera and microphone functions, you'll be able to use your Glasses to stay connected on the go. Whether you're looking for a way to enhance your mobile experience or simply want to try out some new features, Google Glass is definitely worth considering.

The device also comes with a serial number that can be found in the device info section. This number is used to track and identify individual devices when they are purchased from authorized resellers. To access this information, simply go into the settings menu on your Glass and select "Device Info". Your serial number will be displayed here, along with other information about your device such as its software version and firmware level.

Finally, if you want to explore more advanced features or update your Glasses to a newer firmware version, you can do so by going back into the settings menu and selecting "Software Update". This may involve connecting your Glass to a computer via USB cable, followed by downloading and installing any available updates.
