Apple uses something called pixel binning where it combines the data from four side-by-side pixels into one large super pixel this gives you a lot lot more detail in the photos and improved low light performance apple looks to further improve the camera performance on iPhone 15 with a couple bigger changes first app will be increasing the aperture apple is going to go faster and wider F 1.7 aperture that'll allow more light in and better color reproduction on top of that apple is looking to use a new hybrid lens system that will combine with glass and plastic to improve performance and overall weight then hybrid glass system sounds like it's coming to the entire lineup not just the 1515 plus but the pros we'll get getting will be getting these advantages as well so why is this bad news for Android users well Sony is the one that's manufacturing Apple's camera systems they create the sensors for iPhones and apple has such high demands this Sony has barely been able to keep up in fact quo says Sony had to more than double its output to meet apple's demands for the iPhone 15. that's a huge amount of production because Sony had to increase its output so much to meet apple's demand it actually came at the expense of some Android manufacturer teachers

this leaves those other Android smartphone manufacturers having to make tough choices they're going to either going to have to go with a different supplier which there are not that many that can manufacture these sensors they're gonna have to go with a different sensor entirely or just come up with entirely new plans or there's going to have supply issues for the phones for a while until apple's supply issues for the iPhone 15 meet the demand and Sony can start creating more chips or more sensors for those Android handsets so if you're in the market for an Android smartphone you may have some issues coming up this fall other iPhone 15 upgrades this year it sounds like apple will be increasing the processor in both the iPhone 15 and 15 plus it should be getting the same a16 bionic processor that is currently found in the iPhone 14 pro and iPhone 14 pro Max
