The Dining Room is Finally Complete!

I am absolutely thrilled to share with you that my dining room is finally complete! It's been a long time coming, and I have to say, it's exceeded all of my expectations. The space has taken on a completely new look, and I'm loving every minute of it. One of the things that drew me to this particular design was the opportunity to mix different styles together and create something truly unique.

As you can see from the before picture in the video description box below, the space used to be quite formal with traditional furniture pieces. However, when I decided to refresh the space, I knew I wanted to introduce a more rustic and farmhouse-inspired feel. To achieve this look, I opted for a beautiful black sideboard that adds a touch of elegance to the room while also grounding it in a sense of warmth and comfort.

To complement the sideboard, I chose a stunning lamp from Amazon. This piece is truly one-of-a-kind, with its unique shape and size, which perfectly fills the space without overwhelming it. The Earthy tone of the lamp complements the brown hues in the room beautifully, creating a cohesive look that ties everything together.

Another element that adds to the farmhouse feel of the room is the beautiful green garland that I added from Hobby Lobby. This little touch has transformed the space into a cozy retreat that feels like a warm hug on a chilly day. The way the garland appears to be "growing" out of the wall, as if it's an organic part of the space itself, is truly magical.

The vintage finds that I scored on eBay have also been a game-changer in this room. These stunning pieces add a touch of whimsy and personality to the space, making it feel truly unique and special. One of my favorite finds was this beautiful little vase from Amazon, which adds a pop of color and sophistication to the table setting.

The vintage painting that I added to the room has also been a highlight for me. This piece is truly breathtaking, with its intricate details and soft colors. It's amazing how it brings the space together, tying all of the different elements in harmony.

As you can see from the photos, this space is now filled with personality and character. The vintage pieces, combined with the modern furniture and decor, create a space that feels both timeless and fresh at the same time. going to go ahead and walk you guys through everything where I got everything um so let's go let's start off with the rug I think I I mean this room has taken so long it's the end of December and I think I got this rug pretty close to when I moved in so it was really the first thing that was here I believe the rug is like Wayfair or overstock it's one of the two it's pretty much the only rug in the downstairs that's different from any of the other rugs um and throughout the downstairs but I absolutely love it I love that it has like this print it's very traditional gives it that antique vintage look so it really does does in my opinion kind of tie this entire room together um but yeah if I can find it and remember exactly where it was from I will link it down below for you the next thing that I got in were actually the chairs but I put together the table next now this table I had been eyeing for such a long time and I believe I ordered it from Nebraska furnit Furniture Mark originally if my memory serves me correctly but it was another one of those deals where they kept pushing the delivery out and out and out and I just I was in love with this table I didn't want any other table just so you guys can kind of see what it looks like um so I ended up doing a Google search on it and found out that they had Home Depot had this table and so I canceled my order with Nebraska I ordered it through Home Depot and I got it like 2 days later so I spent all those months like just waiting on Nebraska I mean I love them cuz this is actually from Nebraska I the the thing about Nebraska Furniture Mark if you have one is that the furniture comes put together already or at least in all of my ordering cases that's been the case so that's a big reason why I love them but sometimes stuff like this can happen um so anyways I digress I got this table end but I didn't measure the table so it's it's it's very narrow it's very thin um but you know what it actually works for me because I do not host um I mean that's not to say that I won't but I'm not used to hosting I don't really use a formal dining room as much this is really just purely from a decorative standpoint although I would like to find an instance where I am sitting in here maybe to do some planning I don't know um but the table is really thin so if you are you know looking for a table that but you're going to use it and people are going to dine at a lot this you might want to consider the dimensions basically on it and I knew I wanted to have like a very earthy feel I also wanted to mix my chairs so the chairs are a mix between Grand and road which are these white Ava slip cover chairs they are the same chairs as the one in my dining room in my living room and in my dining room so it's it kind of connects the rest of the house together so I got two of them they do have an armchair version of this it's a little bit more expensive but I didn't want the armchair version I just wanted these now obviously the this is what the chair looks like okay it sticks out um because you know there's not that much depth to this um so but again I'm completely fine with with this this was the vision that I had I'll try to find if I still have my Pinterest photo of like what my vision was I will include it here for you guys so you can see what it looks like um then I found these chairs from Pottery Barn they are such good sturdy chairs Pottery Barn is on the more expensive scale you can find black chairs pretty much anywhere probably Amazon all that but the these specifically I just really liked the design I I don't know what it was they they they just went with my vision so I got them from Pottery Barn this planter I believe is from Hobby Lobby the stems I believe are are from Amazon actually I think so I'll link these down below they're kind of like Mossy I really like that just kind of gives me a change in my Greenery um so that is it for this space I did want to keep it pretty simple cuz I knew I was mixing you know essentially three different colors white brown and black that Micah and I got like actually Micah got it for herself we got it from like TJ Maxx or something um but I found it in a drawer I was like let me go ahead and use it here and I actually love that the candle color itself is yellow I I don't know I feel like it's all it all came together so perfectly now these stack of books I actually bought together from eBay eay so the seller was selling it as a set and I bought it specifically for this dining room table I knew that the colors of the actual book itself was just going to be perfection in here now this little vase honestly very overpriced from Amazon I mean it's so small I mean I think it was like 20 or 30 bucks and to me that's a lot for the small little vase but it's so beautiful and it kind of like changes the Vintage and it adds an element of Farmhouse so you know it's kind of like I'm mixing different styles together over here we have this beauty right here some of you may recognize it it was in my formal dining room in the Florida house I'll try try to find that video I'll link it down below so that you guys can see the difference between that dining room and this dining room and honestly the difference for me is the furniture when I ordered that furniture from Wayfair or overstock or or wherever I got it from in Florida it was gorgeous but the color just wasn't quite right so anyways go watch that video I'll link it down below and you can decide which dining room you like best but this beauty was in that dining room as well um and I believe I got her from like a TJ Maxx or HomeGoods in Florida and then I just added this like green garland from Hobby Lobby and I just kind of like made it look like it's her hair kind of like growing out and then we have have this lamp this lamp is from Amazon it's also a little bit pricey but I can tell you that I love this lamp and I think it's it's worth every penny it's just stunning the size of it is beautiful it's big it works in this big space and then just the Earth Tone of this so it's almost like it's bringing back that brown element so I think in the picture in the Pinterest picture the person had this color as their sideboard but then they had a black lamp so the black pulled in from the black chairs so I knew that when I did the black sideboard I needed the reverse of the lamp that I wasn't going to do a black lamp I now needed to do a lamp more on the the the Brown family and that is my formal dining room I so EXC excited that it finally all came together oh I forgot about this little section over here I actually need to look at that all my fingerprints are on there this beauty is from Hobby Lobby it's shocking I know it gives modern with the frame but vintage with this little like tapestry thing and the fact that it's black but it has the flowers honestly like I'm Shook at myself I didn't know I was capable cuz sometimes my brain can't do things like this I don't even know how to explain it other than like me a year ago would never have picked that out to go with any of this like never I would have done something like another I would have done another open landscape photo but I didn't cuz I have my landscape photo there instead I tried to change it and I was like okay well let's do floral and it has black it's vintage yet modern so it works then there's these these gals now Micah says this is me and her so according to her this is Micah that's me and then in this one that's me that's Micah so just for anyone who who cares these vintage finds I scored on eBay and they're just absolutely stunning so yeah it works and it's funny because when I did get them I was like oh this is me and Micah um and I got this painting because I thought it's me and Micah that's me and that's her I just thought it was just so perfect and fitting anyways that is the space I cannot believe it's finally come together I have wanted this
