As we embarked on our final stretch, our trusty Previa proved to be a loyal companion. With 100 miles left to cover, we were eager to reach Gambler town, but the treacherous terrain ahead posed a significant challenge. down I got a guy Jimmy we've got a lot of work ahead of us step one is to get the diff welded a welded diff is going to be crucial for traction on rough terrain we're also going to need a roof rack for some camping supplies a new front bumper so I got this scrap tube from the E36 project that we did it's already kind of bent up in the way that we want it so I'm just going to cut it in half and then just glue it straight to the chassis and the most expensive thing we need need skid plates the previous gas tank is already exposed and we don't want to risk damaging it anymore you with me right now so the back half of the Previa was disgusting so we cleaned it out and sent Justin to Goodwill to get us some nice touches you know we're going to be off-road for a few days and we wanted to make things a little more comfortable we've got a $40 electric recliner we've got a $10 lamp we got a $20 mini fridge that works we got a $15 TV for this old Xbox and then the whole room is tied together with this gorgeous Persian rug that we got for a steal at only $20 total cost is $130 okay luxury Persian rug check all right so the car is all packed up and we're ready to go are you ready I'm ready baby what do you guys expect going to happen at a gambler I don't know honestly I have no idea we're at The Gambler Now The Gambler at its is about having an off-road Adventure but there's way more to it than we thought it's pretty much a giant Music Festival but for cars thousands and thousands of cars there's racing there's music there's a lot of dust mini bikes some wildl looking cars some wildl looking people and even more dust I couldn't see but we're not really here for any of that we came to see if this van can make it through the weekend we got a waypoint that's over 100 miles away and about you want bite if any went wrong out here we'd be in some serious trouble but we have no time to waste so we got to keep going after bashing through our first obstacle we speed through to our next Waypoint along the way we found a cave holy crap dude it is cold down here dude imagine this whole thing collapses while we're down there that would don't say that then we left the cave we found this Crazy Fire Road the pria's window broke keep going yeah and I drove the absolute piss out of the previa all in good Gambler fun until we encountered our next big obstacle a giant area of insane looking red rocks and at this point we're starting to run out of light so if we want to get to our camping spot the prevy is going to have to make it through this rough terrain to get to our Waypoint we got to make it through this little area up here which looks like it gets a little treacherous we don't have four-wheel drive no but we do have the power of friendship that's not a real thing oh no not already wow I mean we might as well just get pulled out of here Justin let's push we're almost out a little bit more woo we did get stuck a lot sooner than I was expecting to look this is no big we're less than halfway through this adventure and the Previa has already taken some serious punishment and it's kind of starting to show some Strange Behaviors Speedo is just kicking back in I wonder like this this electrical plug right here got so hot uh that it's uh melted the wires so what are we going to do just run with it I guess we're what 30 minutes from the campsite shut up now there aren't exactly a lot of shops out here so we would just have to keep moving to our halfway point at the top of a volcanic crater to take in The View woo it's all downhill from here baby it is all downhill from here damn all right boys we made it yeah 100 miles down 100 miles 8,000 ft our campsite is right down there we've gone through some tough Rock we've gone through some dusty Trails some tight Trails that's right previa starting to act up a little bit though she's uh hurting it's time to go set up camp make some dinner yeah let's go eat and go take a Skinny Dip in that Lake yeah so we set up camp and called it an early night knowing that tomorrow we'd have a big day with our flying egg get your leg out stop God it's gambling time it's a new day and it's time to head back to Gambler town but the Previa is acting even worse than yesterday and we still have 100 miles to go so far we've seen some pretty Scenic sites I'm impressed with the Previa oh absolutely she's done pretty good so far the only issue the Previa has had is like the transmission kind of hesitating yeah it's been uh it's been guessing a little bit bopping back and forth yeah the other thing is the screaming AC compressor but hey at least it kind of works our final stretch is a return trip Gambler town is 100 miles north from here and if we're going to get there we have to go through some treacherous Terrain you're more than welcome to drive like this with me not back here just a little bump and this is where we started to run into some problems we had put the Previa through its paces and the transmission was starting to act up on us got to drop that gear come on she don't like it could it have been all the abuse it had taken or maybe it was never meant to be driven this far in its current state another problem is the desert itself we're on our final stretch here it's so hot out here this silt stuff is literally everywhere it's as fine as like chalk and also the heat it's like 100 plus degrees out here I can barely drink water cuz so much dirt's in my mouth I can only imagine how the prev dust dust dust dust no no go Christ it's dusty out here the brutal sun and dust isn't doing our
