The Scotty Vest: A Traveler's Best Friend

As I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my outfit, I couldn't help but feel a sense of skepticism about wearing this vest. Taran, Luke, and Nick had given me ironic thumbs up, Brandon called me out for looking like I was going fishing, and Nick said I looked like the epitome of a dad. But despite the teasing, I knew that this vest would be my best friend on my travels.

The Scotty Vest is designed to strike a balance between looks, wearability, and cargo capacity. The vest has a sleek design that makes it easy to wear under jackets or on its own. It features multiple pockets for storing various items, from phone chargers to snacks, and even has an RFID-blocking wallet pocket with a separate mesh pocket for some walking around money. The ID pocket is positioned in a way that prevents the driver's license from showing through, making it ideal for carrying other identification cards like gun club memberships.

One of the most impressive features of the vest is its hidden cargo pockets. These pockets are designed to be as pickpocket-proof as possible, with a standard depth on one side and a much deeper pocket on the other. I found that keeping my passport and travel documents in the deeper pocket was convenient for storing important papers, while the smaller pocket was perfect for storing phone chargers or snacks.

The vest also features two rear pockets with magnetic clasps, which are useful for securing items like pens, notebooks, or even a small first-aid kit. The nano-coating on the fabric helps to prevent spills from leaving stains and makes it easier to clean up messes quickly.

But what really sets the Scotty Vest apart is its comfort and wearability. The material is breathable and comfortable, making it perfect for hot weather conditions. I wore it on my travels and found that it was the most comfortable piece of clothing I had packed. Of course, when the temperatures dropped, I did have to switch to the black hidden cargo pants 2.0, which proved to be just as comfortable.

Speaking of the hidden cargo pants, they bear a surprising resemblance to regular pants, aside from the magnetic clasps on the rear pockets. They have a nano-coating that keeps spills at bay and makes them easy to clean. The pants are also incredibly pickpocket-proof, making them an excellent choice for travelers who want to keep their valuables safe.

The hidden cargo pockets in these pants are about as secure as it gets, with three (or two and a quarter) pockets on each side that can be used to store various items. I found that keeping my phone and wallet in separate pockets made it easy to find them quickly when I needed to make a call or access my credit cards.

One of the most useful features of these pants is the ability to separate items within the deeper pockets. This allows for a high degree of organization, making it easy to find what you need quickly. The only downside is that they're not really necessary if you don't carry a lot with you – I often found myself relying on the vest's pockets instead.

Finally, there are the travel boxers. These boxers are designed specifically for travelers and feature multiple pockets for storing small items like snacks, wipes, or emergency cash. The package they come in is also water-resistant, which was convenient for storing valuables while traveling. However, I did experience a bit of disappointment when the package broke during transit.

Overall, the Scotty Vest is an excellent choice for travelers who want to stay organized and secure on their journeys. It may not be the most fashionable piece of clothing, but it's certainly practical and functional. Whether you're looking for a comfortable vest or a pair of reliable hidden cargo pants, the Scotty brand has got you covered.

As I reflect on my travels, I realize that the Scotty Vest was an indispensable companion. It helped me carry more stuff and stay more organized, which allowed me to focus on enjoying my adventures rather than searching for misplaced items. While it may not be perfect – there were a few downsides to using the vest in hot weather conditions – it's clear that this brand has put a lot of thought into designing clothing that meets the needs of travelers.

In conclusion, the Scotty Vest is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to stay organized and secure on their travels. With its multiple pockets, RFID-blocking wallet pocket, and water-resistant package, it's the perfect piece of clothing for anyone who wants to keep their valuables safe. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or just starting out, this vest is definitely worth considering.
