Yujacha Korean Citron Yuzu Tea - Thirsty #22

**Discovering Yuzu Citron Tea: A Winter Warmth from Korea**

In today's episode, Emmy introduces us to an intriguing winter drink that has captured her heart—Yuzu Citron tea, known in Korean as Yuja. This delightful beverage is made from the Yuzu citrus, a fruit that holds a special place in Japanese cuisine. Emmy shares her journey of discovering this unique tea and how she incorporated it into her own routine.

Emmy begins by explaining the Yuzu citrus, highlighting its availability in Japan and its vibrant, citrusy aroma. She mentions that while Yuzu is relatively common in Japan, finding it in the U.S. can be challenging. Despite the difficulty, Emmy managed to obtain a jar of Yuzu marmalade, which she uses to create her drink.

The process of making the tea is straightforward. Emmy demonstrates by adding a heaping tablespoon of the marmalade to hot water, allowing the sugar to melt and release the aroma. The resulting drink is sweet yet balanced with the bitterness from the rind, offering a harmonious blend of flavors. She also notes that adjusting the quantity of marmalade allows for personalization, making it adaptable to individual tastes.

Beyond its culinary uses, Yuzu has practical applications in beauty, often added to baths for its refreshing citrus scent. Emmy suggests this as an additional way to enjoy the benefits of Yuzu at home.

Emmy concludes by encouraging viewers to seek out Yuzu products at local Korean or Asian markets and invites them to share their experiences in the comments. She expresses her enthusiasm about this new winter drink, hoping it becomes a staple for others seeking warmth and flavor during colder months.

In summary, Emmy's exploration of Yuzu Citron tea offers a glimpse into a traditional Korean beverage that is both comforting and intriguing. Her journey highlights the joy of discovering new flavors and the simple pleasures of homemade drinks, making it a must-try for anyone looking to add a touch of Korea to their winter routine.
