THEY GAVE ME A $1.3 Million GULLWING 300SL and FERRARI DINO GT

**The Thrill of Driving Classic Cars**

Keith was back, and he had an experience of a lifetime driving a 300 SL worth $1.3 million dollars. Not only was it a rare car, but it also held a unique significance as a Ferrari model. "I'm kind of blowing away right now," Keith exclaimed, "I've never driven a classic car before, I wasn't really into it when you're driving it's so mechanical." He went on to describe the experience of driving a 300 SL, noting that it was unlike anything he had ever felt before.

As Keith continued to drive, he was joined by his friend Ryan and Vanessa. They set off in two classic cars, one a Ferrari 250 GTO, and the other a Mercedes-Benz 300SL. The Ferrari, in particular, caught Keith's attention. "I'm getting some instructions here," Keith explained, "so it's not just a car that you turn into, but there's more to it than that." He went on to describe the process of starting the car, noting that the secondary fuel pump needed to be pulled out before the engine could start.

Next up was the Mercedes-Benz 300SL. Dave took the reins and set off in this iconic supercar. "It is super iconic," Keith observed, referring to the Empress Hotel behind them. The hotel is a historic landmark in Victoria, British Columbia, and the city's capital. "We have the BC Royal Museum right off behind me here as well," Keith noted, adding to the tour of the city.

As they drove through the streets of Victoria, Dave couldn't help but comment on the beauty of the city. "This thing everyone's heard of this car well it'll be the yellow Ferrari no internet no yeah I think I don't know people know that it's worth 1.3 million dollars but it's just so," he mused.

The group continued their tour, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. They drove through the streets, taking in the historic landmarks and architecture. "I think you've never lived until you've driven a Gullwing with the doors open in the beautiful summer sun," Keith observed.

Dave took over again, describing the unique story behind the Ferrari Dino. The car was named after Enzo Ferrari's son, Dino. It was also one of the first cars produced by Ferrari that didn't have a V12 engine. "It has no Ferrari traditional badging on it," Dave explained. The reason for this was due to the car's unique status as a tribute to Enzo Ferrari's son.

The tour continued with Keith behind the wheel, driving a Huracan and eventually switching into the yellow Ferrari Dino Targa. "I'm getting some instructions here so it's not just a car that you turn into," Keith said once again, referring to the process of starting the Ferrari. He went on to describe the experience of driving this iconic supercar, noting that it was unlike anything he had ever felt before.

As the tour came to an end, Keith reflected on the day's events. "I'm on a high right now like no other," he exclaimed. The group had taken in some incredible sights and experiences, and Keith couldn't thank Tim enough for allowing him to drive such iconic cars. "Thank you Silver Arrow you're never not talking I couldn't ask for a better day so thanks."

**Driver's Notes**

In a recent update from Dave, he reflected on his experience driving the Ferrari Dino Targa. "It is amazing," he exclaimed. The car was unlike anything he had ever driven before, and he couldn't believe how much fun it was to get behind the wheel. As Keith would say, "You guys are looking like you're having a blast out there." And indeed they were, taking in some incredible sights and experiences on this epic tour.

what they've got for a car for us I said you know stop by we got something for you so I don't know I see the Hummer I drove in the past sitting out front that thing was a lot of fun yeah Hummer life okay let's go see what they got that thing is so wide okay it's like okay our age spider won a spider or would you want a coupe hardtop coupe I don't like spiders I don't like convertibles all right not this weird fear of rolling a car I'm wondering what would happen I know they're taking all that pop stuff but I don't know I like having a hard root puppy hey I got to come along me besides there's no race cars that are fighters right look at this Dino bro wow this thing is crazy talk about back in the day classic how's that for your side mere not a little thing but don't what the lines on this car absolutely stunning it looks amazing in yellow do all right you guys so here we are silver arrow back on Vancouver Island with my friend Tim and dude you have always liked such a diverse selection of supercars and you do a lot of classics here at Silver Arrow you have a large clientele that like these older cars we like them to start with but yeah and you get some of the best of the best for example we're standing right in front of a Porsche speedster like the real deal so tell us a little bit about this car it's a 1956 Porsche speedster we bought it from a client in Toronto rezoning for the last 15 years and you know it's one of the top most iconic cars ever made in my opinion what they're just one of those fun cars you'll ever drive they're not that fast at 75 horsepower 4-speed transmission but wind in your hair one of the cool collector cars of all time speedster well your this thing you guys come on tell me this isn't just like you want to jump in this and go for a rip I'm not gonna lie that looked super bad right and I love look look at this steering wheel I'll come and go look at this unbelievable I mean feels like an old airplane it's really freaking cool he's bringing out oh that's a supercar so here we go Tim says we got go around the block it's recording homie I'm not too worried about now and a park brake I think it's on that side a little leaver no is there electric park brake there this it was first oh yeah here we go we're following the SL the brakes there's either no brakes or all of a sudden you lock the brakes up this is what an experienced this is Oh guessing no ABS no there's no no TC yeah how much fun are we have it now crazy for this race boys experience No what an experience my friend holy moly dude oh you gotta look so cool driving this even I look cool game what do you think man crazy I mean these are the supercars of the day back yeah I mean what did you do to this steering wheel that's getting in the car put one leg in yeah it's like slide in yep tip your steering wheel up lock it in place really you're getting in and out your knees thinking they thought of everything that doesn't surprise me Mercedes is pretty uh a lot of engineering okay so what is what is the Porsche what's the Porsche work US dollars 350 350 and so something similar to this how much is this worth 1.3 million No 350k 1.3 million u.s. dollars Wow look at that thing dude this is all stock right night was the original race car this is the car Stirling Moss was King Kong and look how low it is we need the kids to use the Google secure Ling Maus 300sl learn a little about history yeah okay guys there's your homework for all you young uns including myself I need to go Google Stirling Moss this is the car apparently ah yes Tim Tim bringing out the real toys who these things all right you guys so what's cool is this reminds me of of course the tub of current modern-day McLaren I mean this whole this whole section here is like doesn't look any different this stuff looks a little different so you pull this up and yep pop that in and then there's your steering wheel look at the gauges it doesn't get any more simple than that yeah we're gonna we're gonna drive this now what is the clutch feel like in this be a profit like a 50 year old like a 50 roller clutch okay okay let's try not to stall this thing okay these cars get a lot of attention a lot of attention what a cockpit the way that the door is molded in like that the parking brakes oh I'm learning my 50 year old supercars right now it is no it is not and the steering wheel is Armstrong and then some oh wow and then we gonna use that right-sided turn signal it's amazing this thing is amazing brake pedal feel is a lot different than I'm used to this actually has an old system called rental vac jeez guy this guy knows everything trettel back so toss little tunnel that it was basically a failed system and now what we're driving on yeah good you know good to know that meal what up buddy are you doing looks good on you how does this thing look amazing dude this thing is like actually got a little oak to it yeah you ready here we go hey nice car what's the retail on one of those we've got the speedster here and then we've got another Porsche man right here with the Carrera that's how far up horses come you guys from this - well that's even old now I feel like a note 7 huge props to Tim for having us out in some real classic historic cars giving us a little lesson needed to learn it in YouTube I did need to learn nothing there do I really get now why these guys on these cars and drive them I can't wait to see these now driving around Monterey because I'm actually gonna get it Oh get the hang of it are you yeah off the line begin to stack answer them feathering a feathering we're back we're back Keith what an experience driving a 1.3 million dollar going what's really unique is that's a 300 SL as well so not sure those are gonna be worth 1.3 million dollars you never know but currently not hey what do you think I'm kind of blowing away right now I've never leave driven classic cars before I kind of you know wasn't really into it when you're driving it's so mechanical you know no power steering no power brakes it's like it's not like the fifties it's so crazy is that it's crazy and y'all learn how to drive it because you can just shift the gears you know no rpms real so look Ryan Anessa oh yeah Vanessa clutch all the way and both of these cars both the clutch pedal it's right at the top granite is what catches now we got one more we have a Ferrari yeah we're gonna take the yellow Dino Targa so let's jump into the targa Dino I'm getting some instructions here so it's not just a car that you turn turn the key that first thing is turn the key pull the fuel pump which is your secondary fuel pump you can hear it pull out the enriched nur now it starts you have to turn on the secondary fuel pump so now the car is running and you're good to go so just hop in when you close your steering wheel just use the latch don't just try and force it in it for a while wait hold it down and let it back up so you're good to go it sounds super simple like marriage that easy a lot of trust being extended here Tim is allowing me to take the going SL Dave's taking the Dino actually and we're off again Dave in the Dino here we go guys what do you think oh you got a couple you got a couple of classic supercar yeah and am i crossing a crowd so this is downtown Victoria that is the Empress Hotel it is super iconic historic and then right this direction is our Parliament Buildings Victoria on Vancouver Island happens to be the capital of British Columbia the province here in Canada so huge tourist town even though it's on Vancouver Island and you've got to take a ferry or a boat or you know like an airplane or a helicopter to get here but it has a lot of attractions we have the BC Royal Museum right off behind me here as well and there the Parliament building so that's where that's where our version of all of our politics goes down okay right this car I think I'm gonna have to get rid of the Huracan because these things get more intense oh this thing everyone's heard of this car well it'll be the yellow Ferrari no internet no yeah I think I don't know people know that it's worth 1.3 million dollars but it's just so I like people love the car itself there's nothing to do with its value it's just so right historic and iconic let's go home look at the attention you guys okay let's continue driving these things because that's what it's really all about isn't it so I think you've never lived until you've driven a Gullwing with the doors open in the beautiful summer Sun Dave back there in the dino by the way the Dino's got a really unique story see the Dino has no Ferrari traditional badging on it the reason for that is is it was a tribute to Ferrari Enzo's son Dino this is also the very first car that they built at that time that didn't have a v12 engine in it very special car pretty cool that Tim lent it to us spirited driving here in the supercars I cannot thank Tim
