I've got my trusty MacBook Pro right in front of me, with a few accessories that I absolutely love. One of the things that caught my eye was this charging pad that's attached to this thing that also detaches magnetic, so this charging pad does have a MAG safe Puck as well as an airpods Pro section to be able to charge both of your devices. So again, this is very multifunctional, it's very easy to use, I like that I have a MAG safe puck right to the left of me so I can charge my iPhone whenever I want to and charge of my airpods whenever I need to.
And on top of that, I'm going to have kind of my OG accessories which is my satachi X1 slim absolutely love it, it's my best third party keyboard. The only thing that I wish they could do is somehow get touch ID on this thing but don't think Apple's licensing Touch ID right now so no third party manufacturer can use Touch ID in their keyboards correct me if I'm wrong in the comments down below.
But Ci's X1 slim is going to be the best one-to-one comparison to an Apple Magic Keyboard and I believe it's only $60 versus over $100 for the Magic Keyboard. And then also, I use my Logitech anywhere S2 which is the best and most quality cheap mouse you can buy. Logitech has mastered this form factor in my opinion.
They do have their S3 line now which is relatively the same thing as the S2 but charges via USB-C as opposed to mine which I've had for about four years now at this point charges with micro USB. To round off some of these accessories, I do want to mention a company called Johan which is what I've been using as a stand for my MacBook Air as well as a stand for my Sony QC Ultras.
What it basically is, it's a company that makes premium wood materials to actually use it with one piece and the way that it's done is very unique. The headphone stand is just a headphone stand, its single use is exactly what it's used for but what I like about the MacBook stand is the way that it's actually engineered basically it won't stand up on its own unless it's using the weight of the MacBook which is really cool.
It kind of supports a bunch of different kind of form factors you can keep it left open you can put it into clamshell mode it's a nice stand overall and it's just very premium built so if you guys do want to check out some nice wood accessories I'll recommend them. And then same thing with my grovemade death stand or my monitor stand which you guys see right behind me.
What this basically does for me is elevates the actual monitor from actually being on my desk itself which allows me to clear up some space and give me more room it also has a nice little drawer on the left and side which I used to have like my SD cards my SSD as well as some Apple Pencil Alternatives that I've been testing.
But that is what I use on my desk on a daily basis and every single time I sit down I'm enjoying the fact that I'm sitting down at this desk because there isn't something that's out of the way or there isn't something that's harder to get to or I don't have to kind of unplug something and then plug something in everything is at my disposal everything is at arm's reach and everything is easy to access whenever I need it.
So as I mentioned at the end of the day pick the accessories or the form factors or the desks or the chair or the computer that's going to be right for you in order to keep you content while working because like I mentioned earlier you don't want to be in a situation where you're hunched over or you're kind of dreading where you're at you're in a very low-lit situation because then you're not going to be wanting to sit there for long periods of time.
So I do recommend picking some accessories from here that would kind of fit your needs or maybe there's some accessories that I left out that you think I would kind of benefit from and leave those link down in the comments for me below and I'll definitely check them out. But let me know in the comment down below what you think of my personal set up is it too much is it just enough do you like some of these accessories that I'm using.
Let me know in the comment down below and if you guys want to watch some more Vision OS Mac OS iPad OS or iOS videos click on one of these right here.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enso in this new era of work from home I do think it's vitally important to make sure that you have the most welcoming and appealing desk setup because if you are working there 40 plus hours a week you want to make sure that you're enjoying your time there as much as possible so in this video what I want to do is highlight some of the accessories and some of the computers and the desk and the chair that I use to make this most appealing death setup situation that I've come up with so far now this is an Ever evolving situation I like to take bits and pieces from other people so feel free to do the same thing I will link down all the accessories that I mentioned down in the description below without further Ado let's get into my my desk set up for 2024 so let's start with the display that's right behind me because that is the newest edition to this desk setup now this is a new 32-in monitor by a company called a logic I've used their 27in Clarity before and if you guys are looking for a 4K display with a glossy finish that gives you some very nice and color accurate Colors by all means this is the way to go and what I really like about this monitor is that it has a couple tricks of a sleeve as well as kind of having everything you would need when it comes to needing a productivity centered monitor so first first off like I mentioned it is a 4K display it runs at 60 HZ so you can game on it if you want to but you're not going to get the 120 144 HZ with this guy some other things to consider is that it does have all the io that you would need so it has two HDMI ports it's got a display port it's got two usba ports and a usbb port and of course this is a single cable solution so it also has a USBC in/ Thunderbolt in so you can display from your Apple laptop like I have right there so that's all the io that I would personally need and then also on top of that it has a very cool motorized webcam on the top of it that when it's not in use it kind of lowers itself and kind of tugs itself away so you have you don't have to worry about you know people spying on you or having that little cover on the actual webcam and then when it isn't use it's obviously kind of motorized back up it is a 1080p webcam at 8 megapixels and it does get the job done it's not Amazing by all means but for video conferences and zoom calls it's more than enough and then with that single cable solution it does give you a 65 wat power PD so it can power pretty much any laptop that you connect to it it does have two 5 wat built-in speakers so if you are somebody that likes to just kind of have their sound coming out of their actual monitor itself this is something that it does have so that's something to take into consideration and then lastly it is a touchscreen monitor so a logic does have some drivers you download directly from the website to be able to use this as a touchscreen monitor and it works relatively well again Mac OS isn't a touch first interface so it's not really built for touch but if you are somebody that wants to play around with Mac OS as a touchscreen or maybe you have a Windows computer you can do that as well and then you also have kind of a pen accessory that works as well so that is my new monitor that I've been testing out which I absolutely love and I'll link it down below and then flanking that monitor to the right and left first I do have my 12 .9 in M1 iPad Pro flanking it over there and that's sitting on my x36 kyuu iPad magnetic armstand yes it is a mouthful but it works exactly as you would want it to I mean it's super rigid when you need it to be but Al also very malleable when you don't want it to be and it does attach magnetically so it's easy to pop your iPad off and on so if you guys need an iPad stand it's going to stay on your actual desk this one is the way to go because you can use it in any way shape or form and then to the other side of the monitor I have my M2 MacBook Air in the midnight colorway in the 13-in variant and the only thing that I upgraded on that that MacBook is going from 8 gigs of RAM to 16 gigs of RAM so that's what I'm using from a computer standpoint I got my MacBook Air plugged into the actual a logic Monitor and then I also have my M1 iPad Pro to the right of it so I can actually use my iPad Pro as an iPad but if I want to use something like stage manager or use it with an extended monitor I can then use that same Thunderbolt cable and plug it in to my actual iPad to then have actual extended monitor support through the iPad itself so now that we have the monitors and the computer's out of the way I do want to talk about the desk itself real quickly because this has been my absolute favorite sit sand desk that I've ever used and I've used a decent amount of sit stand des and the reason I like this one is because of how sturdy it is now if you have a multipl story house this is going to be pretty heavy to move around so once you set it up you're going to want to leave it there but this is the flexi spot Odin desk and what makes this so premium is that yes it is very very Hefty so it's going to be heavy it supports up to 450 lbs but the big thing that you notice right away is that it doesn't actually have two legs it has four legs which adds that sturdiness especially when you are using it in Stand mode it it wobbles much much less than a lot of these other competitors that only have two legs now this is more more of a premium desk you will be paying a little bit more for that extra premium feel and the quality and again the ease of use but if you guys are looking for a sit stand desk that is very sturdy and can with stand a lot of weight this one by flexi spot the flexi spot Odin is an amazing desk to consider so I highly recommend it and of course they have a multitude of different table types you can decide from the one that I have is kind of like this gray wood finish if you guys do want to check that one out and then another recent new addition is the actual chair that I'm sitting on and this is by a company called SE who see who has been known for their ergonomic chairs for a while and they recently released their Doro s300 which is their higher-end product which is supposed to compete with leges like Herman Miller and let me tell you this chair is extremely comfortable for the price it's exactly what you would want it has every single feature you want out of an actual ergonomic chair you know you have your Lumber support which is more unique and dynamic that I've ever seen before you can obviously recline it you can move it up and down you can move it side to side you can even move the seat separately from the actual back rest so highly recommend looking into this Doro s300 if you guys are looking for a new desk chair because I believe it's around 600 bucks and for that price you are getting a lot more value than something like a Herman Miller so definitely take that into consideration when you are purchasing a new desk chair and now I briefly want to go over some of the desk accessories that I've been using because these are some of the items that you can kind of pull from and then kind of add it to your current desk setup if you already have a desk that you love or a monitor that you love and things like that so the first thing is going to be my USBC Thunderbolt Hub and this is the cigit ts4 this cigit ts4 has been the most reliable USBC Thunderbolt Hub that I've ever used now yes it is extremely expensive for what it is but you're paying for the quality of it because I've been using it for a long time now and I've had zero issues from it kind of dying on me or being too hot or having too much IO plugged into it so this has been the central Hub and of course you can use this with multiple monitors I'm only using it with one because my M2 MacBook Air is restricted to only one monitor but you can daisy chain I think up to four or five different 4K monitors directly from this ts4 so definitely take a look into it if you guys do want to check it out it is an 181 it's got every usba a port that you would need USBC ports both on the front and the back Thunderbolt ports that you would need so if you guys are looking for a USBC Hub or a desk Hub or a thunderbolt Hub this one I'm going to link down below they also have their TS3 plus which is a little bit cheaper which gets you pretty much 90 to 95% of the accessories and they also have their Thunderbolt knock which I believe is $200 so I'll link all those down below because I love them all Kell digit has been one of the most reliable brands that I've used so if you guys are looking for a reliable Hub because at the end of the day the best feature is availability with some of these Tech items and this one by far has been one of the most readily available ones for me and then flanking my desk to the right hand side is going to be my new Nomad 3 in-1 base station the standing one what I really love about this is just how sturdy it is and how quality it is and that's what going to be a running theme with some of these items and accessories because I'd rather pay for one thing one time versus pay for something multiple times over but again this one's by Nomad the only gripe that I have with this one is that if you are also charging your Apple watch at your desk then standby mode doesn't work because of the way that it was engineered something that I'm sure they're going to fix over time so definitely standby for that but if you don't have your Apple watch plugged in there then you can obviously use standby mode with your iPhone but it does charge your Apple watch your airpods pro as well as your actual iPhone with mag safe very easily so then the next item I want to talk about is my desk map by company called journey and what I like about this is that it's very multi-functional right so first and foremost yes it is a desk mat it does have a leather top but then also you can flip it around and it's going to have a felt top as well so you have two different material choices to choose from whenever you are using it and they both work extremely well with a keyboard and mouse setup which I'm about to touch on but then also in between there you can kind of actually open it up to then tuck away some things that you don't want to kind of have on your desk you know Loos s papers maybe a brochure or maybe you know somebody's business card they you kind of tuck away and kind of set it and forget it so you don't have to kind of keep it on your desk but if you need access to it you can just kind of flip up the actual desk map and then see it there but then also to the left of it there is a magnetic strip and that's because there's also a charging pad that's attached to this thing that also detaches magnetic so this charging pad does have a MAG safe Puck as well as an airpods Pro section to be able to charge both of your devices so again this is very multifunctional it's very easy to use I like that I have a MAG safe puck right to the left of me so I can charge my iPhone whenever I want to and charge of my airpods whenever I
