Introduction to Unboxing a Brand New iPhone 5S
What's going on guys, it's Brandon here, and welcome back to my channel. Today, I'm excited to share with you an unboxing of my brand new iPhone 5S. Now, before we dive into the unboxing, I want to clarify that technically, this isn't a traditional unboxing. You see, when you receive your new iPhone, it comes pre-activated and ready for use, so there's no plastic wrapping or packaging to remove. However, for the sake of this video, we'll pretend like it's an unboxing, just to make it more engaging.
The Beautiful Phone Itself
As I lift the lid off my iPhone 5S, I'm greeted by its sleek and beautiful design. The front plastic is already taken off, revealing the stunning space gray colorway that I've chosen for my device. I must admit, I had a preference for the gold option, but it seems like Apple has been sending out only tens of units to stores like Apple Stores and Verizon, making them pretty hard to come by. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on one, you can flip one on eBay and make a quick profit – just saying! Anyway, let's take a closer look at this gorgeous device.
Inside the iPhone 5S
As I open up my iPhone 5S, I find a little pamphlet with all the necessary information about my new phone. It includes instructions, technical specs, and some other helpful details that you might want to know. There are also the infamous Apple stickers – which I've amassed at least 30 of over the years – that come with every new iPhone. While I don't need them for anything specific, they're just a nice little memento to remind me of my purchase.
The Accessories
Now that we've got our phone out, let's take a look at the accessories that come with it. First up, we have the standard AC plug and USB cord – which is actually the lightning port. You'll notice that it's not your average USB-C cable; instead, it's designed specifically for Apple devices like this one. Next to it is a pair of new earbuds that came bundled with my iPhone 5S. They're sleek and comfortable to wear, making them perfect for listening to music or watching videos on the go.
Modded Up iPhone 5S
Before we compare my iPhone 5S directly with an older model, let's take a moment to admire how it looks. As you can see, everything is pretty much the same – even the design of the device itself seems identical at first glance. However, there's one notable difference: this new iPhone has a little Chrome ring around the home button that reads fingerprints. If you want to unlock your phone using biometric authentication, all you need to do is place your finger on the sensor and follow the prompts.
iPhone 5S vs Old Model
Let me take a closer look at my iPhone 5S alongside an older model for comparison purposes. As I glance over both devices, I notice that this new one has a slightly darker space gray color compared to the previous generation's lighter hue. While everything else seems to be similar – including weight and design aesthetic – there's one key difference: this newer device feels... heavier? Maybe it's just my eyes playing tricks on me, but upon closer inspection, I'm convinced that the iPhone 5S has a bit more heft to it compared to its predecessor.
Comparing and Contrasting
The first thing you'll notice when comparing these two devices is how much alike they are in terms of design. It's almost as if Apple took all the best features from the previous model and updated them for this new generation. However, there's one notable difference: that shiny Chrome ring around the home button on my iPhone 5S reads fingerprints and allows for biometric authentication. This feature wasn't available on older iPhones – so it's definitely a nice touch.
Verdict
Well, guys, that's all I have to share with you today about unboxing this brand new iPhone 5S. It's been an interesting journey from start to finish, and I'm excited to continue using this device as we go forward. instruction manual phone info things like that so let's just set that off to the side and of course we have our normal AC plug USB cord which of course is the lightning port and we have some new earbuds which are the uh the newer earbuds which came on the iPhone 5 as well so let's go ahead and take a look at the 5S itself of course it has been moded up it just took my fingerprint it already unlocked it for me so let's take a look side by side with the iPhone 5 now it is pretty much the same let me clear this real quick it is pretty much the same uh everything around I did notice that this uh new space gray is actually a little bit darker as you can see than the iPhone 5 but everything else uh the iPhone 5 actually seems a little bit heavier I don't know if it's just me they may actually be the same weight but the iPhone 5 uh seems a little bit heavier to me uh again it may not be true may just be me feeling things but anyway as you look around everything is pretty much the same except for obviously the home button it has the little Chrome ring around uh it now and that actually reads your fingerprint so looking at that you can go to settings and the 5S go to General and go to passcode and fingerprint and let me just enter my passcode real quick and down here it will show fingerprints and if you click on that it will show fingerprints and if you wanted to add a fingerprint uh you can do that and you'll just have to put your finger on like multiple different ways so that it can pick up on it um you'll have to put it like holding it at an angle putting it right on just so it can just so it can get a feel for what your thumb what your uh fingerprint is actually like so it doesn't actually let somebody else in without having the right fingerprint so as you see you don't have to click the button just like that and see it didn't work that time there you go worked that time usually it works on the first time it just depends on how you're holding it and how you set it up but anyway this is the 5S this is the 32 gig on Verizon uh again I wanted the champagne gold I wish I would have got the champagne gold but oh well I'm going to be having a case on
