The Laptop Review: A Gaming Powerhouse at 800 Dollars

As I sat down to review this laptop, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and trepidation. Would it live up to my expectations as a gaming powerhouse? The answer, without a doubt, is yes. From the moment I started testing this machine, I knew that it was something special.

The first thing I noticed was the performance. Running demanding games like Battlefield 4 at high detail, the laptop effortlessly cruised along, delivering smooth and responsive gameplay. With graphics settings turned off, the laptop's performance was almost laughably fast - a blistering 110-120 frames per second. It was clear that this machine was not just for gaming, but also for everyday use.

But how did it hold up when I switched to ultra-high detail settings? Unfortunately, the results were less than stellar. The framerate dropped down to around 30-35 frames per second, and even with a high-performance GPU, the laptop struggled to keep up. It was clear that this machine was designed for gaming at high detail, not just ultra-high.

As I dug deeper into the laptop's specs, I discovered that it featured a 4-core processor, IPS screen, SSD storage, and RAM. This combination of hardware made for a formidable gaming rig, one that could handle even the most demanding games with ease. And yet, despite its powerful specs, the laptop was still able to deliver smooth gameplay at high detail, making it an attractive option for gamers on a budget.

But what about the price? $800 may seem steep for a gaming laptop, but trust me when I say that this machine is worth every penny. With its blistering performance, IPS screen, and comfortable design, it's clear that this laptop was designed with the gamer in mind.

In terms of options, the laptop allows users to adjust graphics settings to their liking. By default, graphics quality is set to auto, which means that the system will automatically choose the best settings for a particular game or program. However, if you want more control over your performance, you can manually adjust the settings to suit your needs.

One option I did find particularly useful was the ability to turn off VSync, which allowed me to enjoy smooth gameplay without any of the stuttering or tearing that often plagues VSync-enabled games. This feature alone is worth mentioning, as it's a common complaint among gamers: how do you get smooth gameplay without sacrificing performance?

As I continued to test the laptop, I found that it performed admirably in other areas beyond gaming. The keyboard and mouse response were both quick and responsive, making it easy to navigate menus or play games for extended periods of time. And with its IPS screen, colors looked vibrant and lifelike, even at high brightness levels.

But enough about the positives - let's talk about the negatives. One area where this laptop fell short was in terms of CPU performance. While it was capable of handling demanding games, I couldn't shake the feeling that it would be limited by its integrated graphics card if pushed too hard. This is a common problem with laptops designed for gaming, as they often rely on integrated graphics to save power and heat.

Despite this limitation, the laptop still performed admirably in terms of CPU performance, thanks to its 4-core processor. And while it may not be able to handle the most demanding games at ultra-high detail, it's clear that this machine is designed for serious gaming, not just casual gaming on the go.

In conclusion, this laptop is a true powerhouse when it comes to gaming. With its blistering performance, IPS screen, and comfortable design, it's clear that this machine was designed with the gamer in mind. While it may have some limitations, including CPU performance at high detail, it's still an excellent option for gamers on a budget.

If you're in the market for a new laptop, I highly recommend considering this one. With its competitive price point and impressive specs, it's clear that this machine is worth every penny. And if you're looking to play games like Battlefield 4 at high detail, without sacrificing performance, then this laptop is definitely worth checking out.

this is an awesome $800 gaming laptop really quickly now I've reviewed this machine previously before and a link to that review will be in the video description below for all the details this has an Intel i5 4 core 4th red 6th generation skylake processor it's a true 4 core processor most laptops actually have 2 cores with 4 threads this has four true cores it has 8 gigabytes of system ram 256 gigabytes solid-state drive wicked fast nvidia geforce gtx 960 graphics card it has a true gaming graphics card it's about three to four times faster than even the best integrated graphics on the market that's really what you're getting here you're getting a true 4 core processor and true nvidia gaming graphics i have previously done a review with battlefield 4 on a $500 zeus laptop and yes it was playable with everything down at low and kinda-sorta let's see how it works on this one now all of the default graphics are set which I'll show you in a second I've got fraps running here you can see the framerate in the counter and we're currently at a hundred frames per second it has no issues whatsoever running at 100 frames per second very smooth instantly responsive to all my key presses it just no issues at all they see if we can find ourselves some bad guys over here well it would help if I actually shot the bad guys but you know I'm not the best battlefield 4 player in the world I don't profess to be it's not really my game but that's okay I'm in trouble now there we go got them to begin them all oh there it is like I said I'm not the best battle for player battlefield four player in the world however here's the thing that's wicked smooth I mean 100 frames per second no issues whatsoever at these same settings without the Nvidia graphics card this is basically unplayable so it's it was running it may be 15 to 20 frames a second that's like 5 times faster I said 3 to 4 earlier depending on the game and program it's going to be faster or slower than the built-in graphics but that's wicked fast let's go to options I'll show you where it's at video we have vsync turned off because otherwise we'd be stuck at 60 frames per second resolution scales at 100% graphics quality is set to auto which means it's actually just put everything basically at medium what I'm going to do is manually set everything to low just to show you how fast this goes Wow 110 120 frames a second you know there comes a point where we might actually be CPU limited rather than GPU limited it is a fast processor but it is a notebook processor so it's not running it like 4 gigahertz like a desktop processor would it's probably running at 2.8 gigahertz oh let's get away from the grenade it tends to run at about 2.8 gigahertz when you're when you're using the CPU heavily when all four cores are being used all right that just showed you low settings or wicked fast but you wouldn't buy this computer to play it on low so let's do the reverse we'll go over to video and we're going to set it to high like see how this goes I'm not changing anything individually I'm simply picking low medium or high to show the difference wow look at that we're doing about 60 frames a second right now on high detail on an $800 laptop now for those of you saying wait a minute battlefield 4 is not a brand new game well you know ok that's true it's it's a it is not battlefield hardline as the current is the current battlefield but the thing is everybody seems to test battlefield for why I don't know they do I see far more battlefield 4 reviews than I see battlefield hardline reviews is there any reason for that I don't know so we are at high detail up got 160 frames a second no issues just for fun options video ultra can this laptop play battlefield 4 at ultra detail no not really but hey we'll get to that in a minute yes it can but you know look at the framerate they dropped down to 30 35 39 yes it works it's getting a bit laggy now it's play this on high if you get this laptop and you want to play battlefield 4 play it on high not ultra it's laggy it's running at 39 to 40 frames a second I mean sure it's playable I mean it's absolutely playable I just like blowing stuff up that's so cool I'm gonna switch back to high really quick just so you can see the difference again go back to high yup and we're back to 60 frames a second very nice okay that's enough of that we'll battlefield 4 play on high detail at 1080p at 60 frames per second on this laptop a hundred percent without any doubt smooth as silk very responsive to my keyboard input very responsive to my mouse input I'm not even a great battlefield player and that had no issues whatsoever so compared to the barely almost not even really playable performance on a integrated graphic system with a dedicated graphics card now this computer is 270 dollars more than that azouz i tested and showed you before that is u s-- is a great machine and if you don't want to play games like Battlefield get that machine but if you want to play games like Star Wars Battlefront Call of Duty battlefield for grand theft auto Fallout Witcher 3 you need a gaming computer and for 800 dollars you get a true 4 core processor IPS screen SSD Ram I love this machine now as I said the link to the review will be in the description below the link to this computer on Amazon will be in the description
