FRIDGE CLEAN OUT & ORGANIZATION _ MOTIVATION

The Art of Cleaning Out Your Fridge: A Personal Experience

I'm excited to share with you a personal experience that I've never done before - cleaning out my fridge. As someone who loves watching cleaning and organization videos on YouTube, I thought it would be inspiring for me to create one myself. I hope that by sharing this process with you, I can motivate some of you to do the same.

I decided to split the video into a two-step process: removing and cleaning, and organizing. In my opinion, this should be done on a weekly basis, but unfortunately, I don't follow this routine as often as I'd like. It's surprising how quickly your fridge can get dirty, even if you're not storing perishable food in open containers or plates.

As I started cleaning out my fridge, I realized that I would have liked to show more of the house cleaning process, but I decided to focus on just the fridge and its contents. Instead, I took a gentle all-natural purpose cleaner to help me clean the surfaces without using harsh chemicals like bleach, which aren't suitable for use in food storage spaces.

I was astonished by how much expired food was hiding in my fridge. It seems that some people, especially teenagers and kids, have a tendency to consume more food than they need or should store it improperly, making things get old quickly. I found out that there were many items past their expiration dates that had been left untouched for months or even years. Perhaps it's because I have the habit of putting away expired items without checking on them; at any rate, getting rid of these food products helped me to clean and organize my fridge.

After identifying all the expired items and removing them from the fridge, I decided to sort through the remaining foods and beverages to determine which ones should be kept, used or discarded. Some items that were only good for specific occasions like barbecue gatherings had long since gone bad. This experience reinforced the idea of only consuming food when it's fresh and safe to eat.

In terms of organization, my fridge was not too large in size, but I wanted to avoid cluttering it with too many containers or storage boxes. As a result, I opted for a simple yet functional approach using two clear bins that I had purchased at Dollar Tree. The clear aspect allows me to see the food content inside without having to open them, which is convenient and visually appealing.

To maintain my newly organized fridge, I plan on doing it every month, as cleaning out expired food products was a very rewarding experience. Cleaning out your fridge regularly can help ensure that you are consuming only fresh food that is safe for consumption.

Cleaning out your fridge might seem like an unappealing task at first glance, but this process helps maintain hygiene and safety in the kitchen by removing expired perishable items from storage spaces. It's also a great opportunity to check on stored foods and beverages, helping you determine which ones are still good to eat or should be discarded.

It is always helpful to keep track of how many people live with you in your household because cleaning out food products regularly can help prevent waste and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Cleaning out expired food items also makes it easier to identify food that requires expiration dates, helping you avoid overbuying perishable goods and reduce unnecessary food waste.

I hope this article motivates some readers to clean their fridges every month by following these simple steps: removing all expired products, organizing your remaining items in a functional manner, and establishing a routine for future fridge maintenance.
