Decorating for the Holiday Season at Home and Walmart

As I began my holiday decorating journey, I found myself browsing through various stores to find the perfect ornaments and decorations to adorn my tree. My first stop was the At-Home Store, where I discovered a beautiful garland that caught my eye. The price point of $12.99 seemed reasonable, especially compared to Hobby Lobby's price of $50 off. However, I was disappointed to see that they didn't have a similar one-to-one equivalent in terms of style and design.

I decided to move on from the At-Home Store and instead visited Walmart, which proved to be a treasure trove of holiday decorations. The first thing that caught my eye were these massive star ornaments, which stood out with their unique plaid design. Each ornament was priced at $4.98, making it an affordable addition to my tree. I also found some cute little plaid trees in different sizes, ranging from 2.78 to 4.78 dollars. While I loved the idea of replacing a few of my existing ornaments with these new ones, I didn't feel like changing everything entirely.

I did find myself getting excited about some of the other decorations, including these Santa ornaments that Walmart carried. Although I was unsure if they would make sense on the main tree, I couldn't resist purchasing them for $1.98 each. They were adorable and felt like a great addition to my collection. However, upon further reflection, I realized that perhaps they might be a bit too festive for the main tree, so we'll see how that plays out.

In addition to these decorations, I also picked up some holiday earrings at Walmart that I just couldn't pass up on. The Rudolph ornament with his bright red nose was absolutely adorable, and the toy soldier earrings were another favorite of mine, complete with pearls on his little feet and hands. But the real winner for me was the gingerbread earrings – they were so cute with their bow, heart, and lips, and the pearl detail added an extra touch of elegance.

Overall, my Walmart shopping trip was a huge success, and I left feeling inspired to decorate my tree in a way that felt cohesive and unique. in front of me usually i face this way over here um so then i have the window to the side of my face it's a whole thing um but yeah sorry that it's kind of a snooze fest but listen let's let's just roll with it for today but i'm going to show you guys what i got from the at home store and a couple things from walmart so i decided to go to the at home store because when i was just kind of playing around online they finally posted that their halloween stuff was on sale so i knew immediately i wanted to go back because the last time that i did an at-home store haul which i'll link down below for you i picked up a couple of candy corn items and i knew that i wanted to go back and get more but when the halloween stuff was on sale they had some cute candy corn pillows that i wanted and i was just like no i'm gonna gamble i'm gonna wait for the sale well let me tell you i shouldn't go to vegas and gamble because i lost when i went they did not have the candy corn pillows anymore and i was so sad because i was for certain that i would get them nope and the funny thing is is even the original price wasn't that bad they were like 9.99 so i gambled i lost and that's the end so when i showed up i did find one more of these pumpkins and that was all that was left so if you watched my last at-home store haul i got a couple of these pumpkins and then i said i'll pick up more when i go back during the sale and there was only one so um it was 19.99 but with the sale it ended up being 13 you know still still a little pricey when you compare it to something from walmart or hobby lobby but i absolutely love this pumpkin so i picked it up and hopefully they'll do the same thing next year but the at-home store does collections and every year there's just new collections so we'll see if they bring that back then i picked up this little decor sign it was 6.99 but i ended up paying 4.82 cents i love that it says candy corn in the orange and then the yellow and it says cutie in white and then you've got this little detail i did get one that was messed up honestly didn't even notice until i pulled this out of the bag but i'm just going to take some orange paint and kind of fill that in and i feel like you won't be able to really tell from far away so um yeah so i've secured those for next year and then the last thing that i got was this really adorable pillow they did not have like i said the candy corn pillow that i wanted um but this is a little like advent not an advent calendar but it's like a countdown and the little thing is a candy corn and then the each day has a pocket so that you can mark the day and then each day is really cute number one is really adorable but yeah i really love this pillow it'll probably end up going in the media room next year i'm not really sure but all right so then like i said i i went specifically for halloween but it's the at-home store like so i ended up getting some christmas stuff but let's see i've got i've got some walmart stuff in here as well all right so i picked up a couple more things for my daughter's tree and i found this gorgeous garland but it is it is a mess to work with um yeah that's that's literally all i can say but they were each 6.99 which i thought was a really pretty decent price for the at-home store they don't run sales like hobby lobby does so you pay full price but i thought it was really really beautiful it kind of looks like icicly dewdrops um and i just thought in her little woodsy tree theme this would look really nice i wanted to get more of these but when i found them they were actually tangled up on the bottom shelf like they had fallen from where they were hanging and it took me forever just to get these two like i committed for a good 15 minutes in the store just to get to okay then i picked up these gorgeous ornaments for her tree as well they're so pretty and honestly i might go back and get some more because i feel like these would look really lovely in my entryway if you didn't watch my last haul i talked about like my christmas design plans for the house i'll also link that down below in case you want to just kind of hear you know my my plans and ideas for this house but these are so so pretty i love how they look so snowy and frosted they were 7.99 okay um at hobby lobby you know i probably would have paid five six bucks for these because there's the 50 off sale but anyways so i got two of those and then i also got two of the smaller ones as well and these were 3.99 each not a bad price really not not a bad price at all for these so their ornament pricing's not not too too bad and then i found these large white bulbs that kind of have like a sparkly effect to them 4.99 six pieces i love the size these are going to go in my entryway so i thought the price was pretty good and yeah like i mentioned in my last video what i did was i went back through my own youtube videos like my my house tour and that's how i was able to see like my inventory because everything's still packed away um and i'm gonna reuse a lot of the ornaments from the dining room in the last house for the entryway tree so because i don't think there's gonna be a tree in the library this year because the library i'm just not gonna be really that focused on this space but anyways i'm diving off okay then i picked up some ribbon i feel like this is going to be the ribbon that's going to go on my tree because i am going to redo the ribbon on the tree as well and i just really liked how plain it was but it just still had like a really nice farmhousey casual look to it i guess 5.99 for the ribbon and you get eight yards though and then i found the perfect plaid ribbon because hobby lobby did not have this pattern and i found it at the at-home store so this is going to be my plaid pattern this year and it was also 5.99 so i was really happy that i found those let's see okay then i also picked up for my tree after looking at the videos of the main tree last year i have some like um decor signs that have like the truck on it and i think i got them from walmart i think i'm gonna remove those and use them somewhere else and not put them on the main tree this year so i knew that i was gonna need like other additional ornaments to to change up the tree and i found these how gorgeous i love the the dusting of the gold glitter the center's gold and then you've got the plaid which is again that perfect plaid pattern that i absolutely love and it does have a little clip so i got a ton of these and how many did i get i think i got six um honestly i should probably go back and maybe get six more so i might end up doing that then this was an impulse purchase but i got this garland and it's like that very trendy stuff that's going around right now the little circle wood blocks i don't is that an oxymoron it is a block what am i even saying i don't even know but it says merry christmas and then on the center which you can't see because they have it taped up but it's a little white star which is really really cute and i might put this on the main tree so i don't i don't really know i'm trying to take this apart so you guys can see this little star here but yeah that's what i was thinking about doing was just draping it on the tree so we'll see um this was 12.99 pretty comparable to the garland that's at hobby lobby but again hobby lobby's like 50 off so it's still a better deal over there but they don't have like the same one-to-one garlands you know all right so that's it from the at-home store now i'll show you guys what i picked up at walmart i found these massive tr um star ornaments and there's that plaid i'm searching for these were 4.98 it's not a bad price at all for a large ornament and i'm gonna use these in the tree just to fill up that space again where i'm removing the the little car trucks or whatever so i might pluck off this stuff that's going on at the top i don't really know how i feel but then it won't have a direct point i don't know if you can tell but we'll see maybe like i'll be able to hide it a little bit in the tree but i'm not like a fan of that i feel like if they just would have left it as a plaid star it would have been perfection so i love that and then i found these little plaid trees which walmart has been doing these trees for a couple years and each year they change like the fabric because a couple years ago i got some for my daughter and they're like white with like gray um stitching i guess you could say and then i decided to pick these up for the living room downstairs because i am going to need you know to pick up some of the plaid and the decor so anyways the small ones were 278 and this larger one was 478 i'm not changing absolutely everything from my main tree i'm still gonna use the the regular bulbs the red the green i think there's some gold in there it's just some of the bigger other specialty i guess ornaments that i'm going to be replacing so obviously like you've seen the big stars and stuff like that and then i found this santa and i got a couple of them but i'm still i'm i'm still kind of wondering if these might be a return just because i don't know how would it look to have multiple ornaments of a picture i don't know it's like one thing to have maybe a ton of ornaments that are the same but there's not like a specific picture of somebody like a deer i think is okay but does that am i making any sense for like an actual face all over the tree i don't know i think it's cute if like that's the theme but santa's not my theme i guess is what i'm trying to say so i'm wondering if this will make sense so let me just kind of hold up this whole thing like not bad right but then we also are going to have these and i feel like you know i don't know that some of this stuff is making sense so i feel like i need to edit and scale back but i really do love these little santa ornaments they're so cute they were 1.98 like what yeah so i just don't think these are gonna go on the main tree and i don't know where else i would honestly put these so these could be a return but they're amazing
