Building a $1400 Ryzen Gaming & Streaming PC

Building a PC for 1440p Gaming with 10-7 ATI from EVGA

I recently built a PC for 1440p gaming and I'm excited to share my experience with you. The build features an NVMe drive, which runs pretty fast, and a 2 terabyte hard drive for my Steam library. This allows me to easily swap out the drive if needed, making it convenient for future builds.

I chose the EVGA 10-7 series ATI from EVGA as one of the reasons is because it's a three slot card that provides more reinforced Shroud area which means it doesn't sag. The card is very rigid and stays super quiet due to its beefy cooler. This makes it an excellent option for those who want a power conservative graphics card without sacrificing performance.

One of the main points I wanted to highlight about this build is the use of 3D Mark Time Spy benchmark to compare with others in a similar price range. According to 3D Mark, our PC scored 7170 for CPU and 68,42 for GPU when uploaded, which technically classifies the PC as a 4k gaming PC. However, I would not recommend playing many 4k games with this config, as it may bottleneck the graphics card.

I believe that a jump from 1440p to 4k is so massive that it really starts to bottleneck the graphics card. In my opinion, a 10W TI is a really good sweet spot for 1440p gaming. It provides excellent performance without being too power-hungry. I have prices of PC parts linked in the description below, including the links for these products if you're interested.

When buying through those links, we do get small kickbacks as affiliate members which helps us buy more stuff like this and pay rent and other bills. We also have a baby coming soon, so it's going to be a busy time financially. The house is almost finished, and we need to fill it up with furniture, which will add to our expenses.

To recap, this build features an EVGA 10-7 series ATI, an NVMe drive, and a 2 terabyte hard drive for Steam library storage. The PC is designed to run smoothly at 1440p resolution, but it may not be suitable for 4k gaming due to potential bottlenecks in the graphics card.

don't bite that ah yeah uh-huh okay I have a lot of stuff out that I probably shouldn't have out with the cat walking around I want to show you my first official Horizon bill risin was then to Bill Davis I should say I've done a lot of benchmarks obviously with a CPS but it happened officially put together a bill that I plan to use personally and this Watts off frame well that kind of sucks this build right here I'll show it to you in a second is my news end to PC and it's actually probably a bit under kill for what you were expecting it to be and that's because I don't need the most overkill stuff I try to use stuff that I would use if I was still on a budget and I think this will fit the bill for a lot of you looking for a balanced 1080p 1440p gaming and streaming rig let's check it out some things are naturally flexible I am NOT one of those things and power supply cables aren't either until now fractal designs ion plus platinum power supplies pack their new ultra flex DC cables for game-changing an effortless cable routing and even the tightest of spaces and thanks to a modular design you can connect only what you need so yeah fractal made a power supply as flexible as Pepsi and that's probably the most scientific conclusion I can come to check out their new ion plus platinum power supply is linked below all right you guys really think I'm going to show you the bill without showing the build log first if I can help it I'm gonna show you the build lock so let's go to that all right I feel a bit better now I hope you enjoyed the suspense and I'll go ahead and slide over give you yeah yeah nice good look at it from far away actually I have the camera zoom pretty far out here so it should more a realistic looking shot that's about right and yeah so you can see I went with a it's kind of an average at this point graphics card it 1070 ti I know I'm not in frame let's just yeah just ignore me I just want to make sure that I'm talking into the mic here I went with custom suit cables again these the ones we've used in several bills actually from cable mod I like the black and silver looks really good with silver accents we have the Corsair Dom Platts that are silver of course we also have silver accents on this x5 70 motherboard this is the Auris master I did actually flash the latest latest bios which i think is f5g me I want to say it's it ends in G this time and the good thing about that BIOS there was really no difference in terms of performance that I could find but G now lets us control the chipset fan so before I was complaining about some of these X 570 chipsets running a bit loud with those fans atop them they do need active cooling because they get pretty hot so I decided to flash the updated BIOS that now allows us to control PCH fans and I can tell you without a doubt it is significantly quieter now especially at idle it's pretty much silent and then under load it gets to maybe 20 30 percent of max rpm which is still rather inaudible especially when other things in your system start ramping up and getting hotter those fans pull up and it all kind of gets lost in the noise one other decision of mine was going with a stock fan so this is the Wraith prism by the iraq socks off of pretty much any other average build that i've put together before and it's in one of my favorite cases the h 500 men's EXT and it has a capture card it's not the best capture card but it's still one that i use pretty much for almost live streams i haven't been doing that recently because i haven't been using my old streaming setup but i plan to use this one because I think it's better suited for that now with that 3,700 X in there and 1080p60 with the avermedia card it's I mean it's I'm not gonna stream in 4k I just don't think that's feasible so 1080 60 is plenty for that and yeah am I missing anything else here you guys did see that m dot - I put in the system it's an nvme Drive it runs pretty fast I don't remember if it's a four-lane drive or not but you can find it link below along with all the other parts that you've seen in this video so far and yeah it'll be much snappier than a traditional SSD that's a good thing I also have a 2 terabyte hard drive in here for my Steam library very easy to swap that from build to build if need be and then you just kind of designate your Steam library as that drive and you don't have to reinstall all of your games onto your boot drive by the way one of the reasons why I chose the 10-7 ATI for the win from EVGA is because it's a three slot card and it's more reinforced at the Shroud area which means it doesn't sag so this card is very rigid as it is and because we couldn't use a vertical mount because we have the capture card in here a new Accord you have to be installed the traditional horizontal orientation and it still looks really good this way it's a slightly wider card so it takes up a little more space it's on a bunch of empty space in this build as is now and it stays super quiet because it is such a beefy card in that respect as well 10 70s are very power conservative and then when you attack a beefy cooler on like this as well it just means that the card is going to run even quieter under a heavy load so what I'm doing now is opening up 3dmark and we're gonna run the time spy benchmark to see how this computer scores and compare it to some others out there in a similar price range all right you can see here our score and time spy was 7170 for our cpu score was 99 oh 1 and our graphics score was 68 42 when it had uploaded the score so we could compare with others and apparently a score 71 74 is better than about 71% of all uploaded results and this technically according to 3d mark anyway classifies the PC as a 4k gaming PC although I would not recommend playing many 4k games with this config I would definitely bump the graphics card up to something like a 1080i or an RT X 2080 a 10 w TI in my opinion is a really good sweet spot for 1440p gaming it's just that the jump from 1440p to 4k is so massive that it really starts to bottleneck the graphics card and I haven't prices PC odd I'm not sure exactly how much it costs but I have it linked in the description I'm happening that the price at least including the description along with the links for these products if you're interested so with that again you can find links to all the parts in this particular build down below in the video description tied to our Amazon and Newegg affiliate accounts we do get small kickbacks when you buy stuff through those links it does go a long way every little bit counts in fact it's usually like two three four percent of the total price of the item we get back as an affiliate member but it adds up and again it lets us buy more stuff like this helps me pay rent and other things we have a baby coming so I'm sure a lot of money is gonna be going to him and Lisa and I a lot of a lot of bills coming soon not that we don't hurry we have a lot of bills but it's gonna get worse and the house is almost finished and so that's gonna yeah that's gonna consume more money especially we have to fill it up with furniture and I know Lisa's gonna love going to Ikea which is just down the road from us I'm gonna make sure I go with her she needs to be supervised in an area like that you guys like this video click that like button you can subscribe if you haven't already become a member I'd appreciate it if yeah I'd appreciate it if you just watch the video to be honest but if you become a member I really appreciate you and we're gonna be doing really cool stuff here soon I do dedicated live streams for members every second and fourth Saturday of every month yeah so you get dedicated live stream you do there's only like three or four of us in the chat so it's more one-on-one if you like that kind of thing else you get special emojis icons and whatever else helps float your boats like five bucks a month you don't have to do it by any means but it is an option for you if you want to get more involved thanks for watching again and I will catch you in the next one this is science studio thanks for learning with ushey what's up
